Ordered window and front door replacement Oct 4th. Once you sign contracts (1 for window 1 for…read moredoor) you are left pretty much in the dark. Guy came couple weeks later to measure--from date of measure it is supposed to be 4 to 6 weeks for fabrication and installation. My door is smaller than standard and needed to be fabricated to spec. The six week mark I had to call for status--found out window was ready but supplier of door hadn't even started making it. Was given Dec 18th date. Week of 18th again reached out to find that WW still didn't receive the door so can't schedule install and likely will now be January--and oh by the way, there are four customers ahead of me. If I had gone with Lowe's this would already be done. I have zero faith in Window World to do a good job with install since they lack adequate oversight and control over their vendors and schedule. Even though both items are separate contracts but "one job" even though the window is ready, WW has to wait for the door. If this company appeals to you, nail down dates and don't just accept their terms cause now I am at their mercy. I cannot cancel and have already prepaid half.

Window world's installation crew left my house a couple of hours ago and I'm feeling nothing but…read moreregret that we hired them. The windows have rough cuts and wonky corners. I found bits of metal and plastic and broken glass and trash all over my yard and a beer bottle behind my shrubs. Just awful. Maybe even lawsuit awful. The only competent person we worked with at WW was the sales guy. Next day: the more I look, the more awful it gets. Gaps in the exterior wrap, super messy caulking. This is a very sloppy installation. It looks like a bunch of drunks did it - perhaps young men who were drinking HEINEKEN all afternoon. Following week WINDOW WORLD SENT THE SAME GUYS BACK TO FIX IT!?!? They showed up unexpected!!!??? Oh hell no. I sent them away. - This was after we told them IN WRITING that the 9/2 crew was not welcome back. Go drink Heinekens at a bar, not my house. I mean really!!!

Work was done outside of our contract which resulted in damage to our banisters/handrails. Our…read morepoles were wrapped (not in contract) which required them to remove our banisters and handrails, the workers were careless when they removed, then when they put them back up, they jammed nails in every which way, splintered the wood, sections were shortened and filled in with white caulking (very obvious), initially handrails were not even aligned properly and were crooked, etc, etc. They did align the handrails; however, the relations director stated it was our responsibility to have everything sanded and repainted. Neither would have fixed the damage caused by their workers. Company will not take responsibility for the damage, instead offers $100 and praises themselves for us receiving free labor and material, since work was completed outside of the contract. It has cost us $2300 so far (not including labor) to replace. With the cost of lumber today, we had to go with a cheaper material. Talking to the relations director is nothing but a joke, all she does is argue and deflects blame on the customer. Totally regret using this company and do not recommend!

Work teams did an excellent job. However, the representative is a nice guy who can lean dishonest…read morewhen suitable. After five months awaiting our windows, it became clear he had miscounted the number of windows by two windows. When confronted with this, he denied having counted the windows, claiming I provided the number instead. He further denied calling our front windows "doubles" (counting as one) in a phone call prior to our order and attempted to blame me for ordering the wrong number of windows. He further claimed we did not permit him to measure the upstairs windows. But we received all of the upstairs windows (which were a different size). I later sent him an email showing photos of him from our security cameras specifically counting the missing windows during his estimate visit. We received no reply. I ordered two new windows through another contractor. The second part of the work order (vinyl and aluminum) was communicated to the work team (who did great work but there was a serious language barrier). K Guard communicated an incomplete work order to them which I caught and stopped work on before it went too far. Upon calling K Guard, I was admonished by the receptionist that the frieze board was not included in my contract. I pointed out that it was included on page 1, paragraph 8 and after a second person admonished me to just "let the men do their work", I agreed but told them I would not be paying for uncompleted work. Finally a rep confirmed our read of the contract was correct and the work was completed with an additional week needed to do the work. The work team communicated this was the last job they would do with K Guard. They are not alone...
