I had taken home a sleep apnea device a while back, then took it back the next day. When I called…read moreabout the results, I was told it showed I do have sleep apnea but the device only tracked my apnea for a few hours, because it came off my face sometime during the night while I was asleep. When I stopped by to ask if they could put my results in writing, they called the dentist to talk with me in the lobby; he then reiterated what I'd already been told by his staff. When I asked him if he could put that in a quick memo for the VA, he stated he couldn't because my sleep study was "inconclusive." So did he think that I would just suddenly NOT HAVE SLEEP APNEA if my study had lasted another 4 hours?! He couldn't just write that the study showed that I do have sleep apnea which was tracked for x amount of hours? As many times as I had previously gone there to get my teeth cleaned I really didn't think I was asking too much. So unfortunately I can only give this dental practice 1 star, if I could give it zero stars I would.

Based on my research the zirconia arches are under a $1000 each and implants are available for under $100 each. I let them know on the phone that I had a hard limit of $20k for this procedure but they still asked me come in anyway. After pleasantries, I reiterated my hard limit and they continued to go through the imaging process. In the end they presented an itemization that added up to over $72k and then graciously reduced that, by doing nothing, to just under $50k. The Hippocratic oath indicates a doctor should do no harm. That should include psychological and financial harm. Based on my calculations they are attempting a profit margin of ~1000%. Had they been honest and transparent I would have respectfully accepted the fact they could not meet my price point. Instead they had me take a day off work, drive 5 hours, and waste my time. The problem I have is with the girl who does appointments. 1. She never answers the phone when she's supposed to. I have seen her ignore it and I have tried making appointments through calling with no luck. 2. She chews gum in the office and rolls her eyes the whole time you're making a follow up appointment. She is completely rude and acts like she doesn't want to be there. I wish they would fire her already.

The negatives are the front desk employees. They usually act like they have somewhere better to be. They bill incorrectly until suddenly you have racked up a huge amount of charges and they can't even explain where those charges came from. The girls who make the appointments are sweet, but the employees in the very front are those that have made my experience less positive. Also, no one ever answers the phone! So: Pros: Great actual medical care Cons: poor customer service with the front desk administration

I was skeptical at first, but did a ton of research and found Dr. Talamantes-Garabedian and her amazing staff. We were able to get an appointment right away. They were very helpful and provided a dedicated parking space right in front of the office so our car was secure. They performed a cleaning and then took impressions. The technician had the partials ready the next day. There was a minor issue with one of them and they corrected it immediately. I have recommended them to several people and will continue to do so. I think I may even be returning for a root canal and crown for myself. You just can't beat the price. We stayed in Del Rio, and were originally told by a friend of my Dad that you could park and walk across the border. You can, but the bridge is a mile long. You can park at one of the two border taxi lots for about $5 and then take the taxi across, it was $25 each way, plus the $4 on the US side and 28 pesos on the Mexican side. Knowing it was going to be a two day process, we didn't want to shell out the $100 in taxi fees, I googled "Mexican car insurance for tourists" and bought a policy for two days for about $40. We drove across, and the office could not be easier to find. You take a left out of the customs line and the office is a 1.5 blocks down the street on the right. A helpful man guided us into the spot and even washed our car while we were waiting.

The day of his appointment we were 10 minutes early, checked in with the receptionist, and the man who handles insurance, and payments. The doctor informed later, while my father was being seen that he was running behind, and was playing catch up for the days appointments. The lobby being rearranged and set up for a Chamber of Commerce event taking place later on seemed to be of more importance than patient care. Professional, business etiquette is lacking at this facility. Getting phone calls returned in a timely manner, and keeping the patient informed in regards to their care is not a top priority here either.
