My husband worked with Devin Seymour. We are starting a fitness clothing line and we were looking for a legit graphic designer to deliver a unique logo. She had good reviews and after the initial consultation, she seemed extremely confident so we booked her services. She said "it only takes her three tries and she usually gets it right." She asked for inspiration and basic information and said that was all she needed. We thought because she didn't need a phone call or more detailed info that meant she was going to be super good.
Unfortunately, it was the complete opposite. After the first round of proofs, she literally copied off the fonts and graphics from the inspiration lines sent. Her design was so similar to a trademarked line that i know i would have gotten sued. How in the world can anyone use that? Inspiration is supposed to inspire. Seems like there was no effort at all.
We gave her corrections.. after a week later (and a reminder) we got some progress logos that were horrible. Looked like something a high-school artist could create. In the response back, we noted that we were unsure if she could deliver the vision. She did not care and was totally fine giving up. No phone call or nothing (even though we had a third proof due).
Honestly, she was extremely UNINVESTED in the vision and is way too confident in her capabilities.. because they are not good. What made it worst is her willingness to give up. Good luck with Devin. I would not recommend. read more
