Greeted by the lovely cat door keep, they have a friendly orange tabby cat that lives around the shop exterior so that's immediately a win! Once I gave the resident feline a pet to say hello, I walked into the store and was immediately welcomed. I felt very comfortable talking to the staff. I've lived in this area for a long time and have been to this establishment a numerous amount of times. Unfortunately it has gone down hill this past year. Before I could walk in, walk up stairs, get a friendly associate and be free to do my business. Now it's worst than going through security at the airport. I decided to come tonight to look around with my boyfriend. When we walked in there was no greeting, just a girl behind the counter looking irritated and tired. When we reached the second story a guy with a long pony tail came up to us and said, "I need to see i.d's, guys." First off, this isn't a club where a bunch of high school kids are trying to get into. Second, to drink alcohol you must be 21, for the second story section in this store , is for 18 and up...I'll be 30 in the next couple months. There is NO way I look under 18... that's also why I've probably never been carded at this establishment until tonight. Not even when I was 25... when I looked a lot younger.. Its not even the fact that I was carded but the way I was asked. So aggressive and mean. After a while the guy with the pony tail was replaced by another bulkier man. Every few minutes that man came over to ask us if we needed help. But it was more of a suspicious way he was asking. As if we were trying to steal. I know sometimes people need help with sex toys but if I tell you no 3 times, take the hint. I really wanted to buy an Adam and Eve item but the constant stares and feeling unwanted, I decided to leave. While going downstairs the irritated cashier was talking up to the bulky man from the second story and talking about how there is nothing to do and it's so "f*^#ing" boring! I understand it's a adult shop but the professionalism should still be a requirement. I hope this isn't the way things are now. Prices are pretty decent, a lot of selection of adult items and there is always parking. I asked if they had a locker with a key that I could put my belongings in while I shop, since I don't trust them with my belongings either and I was restricted from leaving them unsecured.
