Given the possible busy nature of the parking lot, it's reassuring to know that there's no need to walk very far and worry about parking! Once inside, I was impressed by the new and polished gym. This rather spacious room leads to the tubs and sauna area, which are located near the employee's office. Upon entering, I received a welcome from the knowledgeable and very kind staff. They answered all my questions about how cold water therapy works, providing me with a strong understanding. Their understanding not only of the physiological component but also the mental one blew me away! I decided to take the plunge! Having never done this before, I spent about three minutes in the cold water the first time. The experience was certainly unique. The staff was incredibly helpful in coaching me and explaining how to control my breathing. By the second time, I had a better understanding, thanks to their help. The sauna was a great bonus and a lovely place to relax. Restrooms and fresh towels were readily available. The entire building was clean and well-organized. After some small talk with the staff, I learned that this is the first Cold Plunge facility in South Florida, with more to come possibly. It's dispensed full of visible sediment - only explanation provided is that the dispensers are new and staff didn't clean them properly 5. The administration and staff is comprised of FEAR-MONGERS, EMOTIONAL ABUSERS and PRETENDERS parading as healers and PROFITEERS, preying on a vulnerable population of severely ill people, dangling health in front of them like a coveted carrot. 6. During week 3 of 4 they completely flipped the highly restrictive life-saving diet protocol, citing new research on late-stage cancer from their Harvard-trained medical director (this sort of lack of consistency between staff members plagued my entire experience). The place has no leadership. But here's the most concerning part: 1.Following a 25 minute therapy session (part of the program curriculum) As he rushed me out of the office for his next appointment Mr. Andy Toman advised me to divorce my husband (also the devoted caretaker of myself and our two young children). When I expressed resistance he shot back, "Well, do you want to die?" 2. At my exit interview, Director Anna Maria Clement informed me (based upon bloodwork and the results of a 5 minute Heart Rate Variability test) that my energy reserves had been totally depleted during my time at Hippocrates and my body no longer held the capacity to heal! This of course, was due to the conventional cancer treatments I had opted into prior to my time at Hippocrates. It was a disgusting way of discarding me. Upon leaving Hippocrates and after strictly following their protocol for two months I was rushed to the hospital for the extraction of an emergent tumor and declared malnourished. The hot tub has been down for several weeks, and a few of the newer spin bikes (from about two years ago) have minor handle issues that could be fixed pretty easily. ‍ I've heard a remodel is coming, and honestly, I'm excited -- this place has so much potential to be a five‑star standout once everything is consistently working. I know the LA Fitness I go to in Wellington is always clean. That maintenance staff is always cleaning. They never stop moving , keep the gym clean and fresh. Also, as in any gym, equipment will break. What 1 or 2 machines might break and be out of service. But, overall the equipment is in good shape. The gym ( LA Fitness) at the Wellington, Florida spot is over 25 years old. So there will be some minor problems. Now, I can speak on the daycare. But, I observed the people coming out with there children. And the children seem to be happy Now, I am what you call a "gym rat ". That's an old school term that relates to the 1980's, 1990's when we lived and died by the gym rat. Some of us our jobs required that we be in the gym. A lot of hardcore lifting. And we were required to respect the gym. We made sure we cleaned after ourselves. The weight had to be put back in place, the equipment had to be cleaned after you use it. We were not leaving the gym out of order. If you did you got ridiculed. It was the law of the land. I've been injured and been out the gym about 10 years or more. I started back last year in July 2025. So maybe some of those things happened before July 2025. I wish I had a cleaning crew to clean my house like the LA Fitness cleaning crew do. I know I be in there about 3+ hours. The only problem I see is some of the new age gym rats will walk of and leave 5 or 6 hundred pounds on the bars. The women and elders have to move that stuff. Which is a workout within itself. With all that said, I have a positive experience here. Because, of my injuries some of the members come move weights for me. I mean men and women will say to me sometimes " old school, I got you ". I guess they see me struggling and come to my rescue. Now, I am very independent and I know I tend to push myself to hard thinking I can still bench press 380lbs or more. Old School Gym Rats, which is not a derogatory statement. I signed up for a spin class but couldn't attend because it was overfilled. The instructor didn't check the roster, and I left without working out. They need better planning for busy seasons, updated group-class equipment, and stronger instructors . Group classes are why I'm a member, so this was disappointing. The manager was apologetic, but it wasn't enough.
