Very rude. Instead of talking to me in private or calling me about missed appointments, he threatened to throw me out of his practice in front of his staff and other clients in the vicinity, basically public shaming/ putting me into an awkward situation and backing me into a corner while publicly sharing information that should be private. My wife tried to get the missed appointment fee (small amount of money) waived on good faith since her entire family has been going to him for many many years and they basically told us to go **** ourselves. read more

Let me start off by saying that Dr. D is a great dentist but his arrogance, greed, and paternalistic attitude are the reason why me and my family of five decided to leave this practice all together. Now, this story is actually going to sound quite petty, but please note that the $8 is NOT the reason that I made the decision to move my family to a different dentist... So, for some reason my insurance decided to change my coverage from full coverage every 3 years for a full head X-ray to full coverage every 7 years. I needed to get my lower wisdom teeth removed so I needed the X-ray done but Debbie assured me beforehand that it would be fully covered since I wasn't sure how long it's been since my last X-ray. Long story short, my insurance ended up not covering all of it leaving like $89 for me to pay out of pocket. No biggie, but I called to see if Dr. D could discount it since we've all been loyal customers that are obsessed with good oral hygiene (aka thousands of dollars spent there yearly) and because I was told it would be covered. Debbie said she'd ask him for the 10% deduction ($8.90!!!!!) but he declined it because "I'd need to have the X-ray taken regardless so I'd have to pay for it anyways". Please don't tell me where or with who I need spend my money. That is none of your business and a horrible approach to patient satisfaction. You are nothing but a check to them, they don't care about customer service or customer loyalty (been going to him for over 10 years!). Shame on you guys, we will never step foot in your business again. Besides that, if you do decide to go here make sure you keep records of all of you bills. The billing company they use is beyond incompetent and will bill you 3-4 times per service and add random service fees for no reason. read more

Degenhardt dental is an incredible family owned and operated dentistry that truly feels like home every time you visit. From the front desk staff, to the hygienists and of course Dr. D and Dr. Chris you are always made to feel comfortable, important, informed and at home. They do an exceptional job explaining what they are doing and why, answering any and all questions and always have your best interests at heart. In this current Covid world they have made safety a top priority by having multiple filtration systems put in as well as particle suction units on top of safe check in procedures! Sadly I have terminated a long relationship with Degenhardt Dental. After being a patient for over 35 years I was ambushed by a dental co-pay of nearly $2000 for a crown. Front office staff of Debbie and Cassandra do not involve the patient in the payment process until the final bill. I had been accustomed to, and admit I assumed, that they would get at least get predetermination for this procedure as they have done in years past. Only when coming to realization that the co-pay I was facing was because there was NO PREDETERMINATION OF BENEFITS from our two dental insurance companies. I was dismissed and told "Only if the patient requests". My response was if you care about your patients you would at least ask if they wanted the inquiry. Oh sure they can put me on a payment plan. The fact remains where I believed there was a patient/doctor relationship and value in being loyal turned out to be false. My bad for thinking I would have been treated fairly. Let the buyer beware. read more

I would recommend Degenhardt to anyone who needs any type of dentistry. Cleaning is fast and thorough, crowns are all done in this office, verniers are also done in this office. I have had all done here and walked out very happy each time. It's nice not having to go several times for procedures. Staff is so knowledgeable and helpful. He also has new air filters keeping the air disinfected which is helpful during this Covid period. read more

I switched from my childhood dentist to Dr. Degenhardt when I moved into the area. My initial impression of the place was great. Open schedule, friendly, updated technology, etc. After my first cleaning I was told I needed a filling. However, the way it was communicated gave me a feeling that I didn't necessarily need it. As I checked out, I felt pressured to schedule an appointment to fill it. My gut feeling later then told me to cancel. 6 months later I went back for a cleaning. While in the waiting room, I overhead two other patients needing fillings. Again, I was impressed with the knowledge of the team, friendliness, and technology. I was told I needed two fillings this time. I thought, "Okay, I was being too skeptical before...I'll stop putting it off and get them filled". As I set up my appointment to fill them, I also requested an insurance quote so I would know the total in advance. When the quote came in the mail my initial thought was, "Damn, that's expensive". I had no idea what an average filling went for at the time, but I started doing research. I also called my childhood dentist and asked what their going rate was...Dr. Degenhardt's quote was more than double. Needless to say, I did not proceed with the fillings. Fast forward 6 months to today. I returned to my childhood dentist for a cleaning and x-rays. I did not mention Dr. Degenhardt or the two cavities that I was told needed to be filled. I wanted to see what the dentist would come up with himself. As he finished examining my teeth he said, "You're all set, beautiful teeth my darling!". What!? And that's when I told him about the two fillings. He said, "You don't need any fillings Kim, because you don't have any cavities". And what a lesson I've learned from this! Always trust your instincts, always do your research, and always get a second opinion. I'm sharing this story to make others aware...And hopefully save them from shelling out money that they don't need to. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Degenhardt for about 8 years and have crowns, 2 permanent bridges. One bridge is 4 teeth and the most recent was 3 teeth. this latest involved and extraction and then the construction of a 3 teeth bridge. I have to admit that my lest favorite spot is a chair in a dentist office, but if I have to ave any work done Dr. Degenhardt's office is where I'll be sitting. He is efficient and very concerned about the patients comfort. An ordinary crown is just a 1 appointment visit, start to finish. I always leave the office, no matter what the procedure relaxed and stress free. the entire staff makes the patient seem very welcome. I would refer anyone to this office. read more
