Living with obesity, high cholesterol and pre diabetes was hard. I tried my best exercising (a lot!) and eating a healthy diet but I was not seeing results. Then I applied for a GLP-1 injection (Wegovy, Mounjaro, etc) but was denied by my insurance. I could not afford the medicine ($1600/month out of pocket) but then I found Harmony!!! With their compounded GLP-1 injections at a fraction of a price (less than half of the retail price) I have been able to loose almost 20 lbs in 6 months, my cholesterol is back to normal AND I no longer have pre-diabetes!!! Thank you Dr. Ortega and Angie, you have helped me be patient and have guide me through the process. I still have a long way to go but I am confident that I'll reach my goal thanks to the providers at Harmony Aesthetics and Wellness

This year I dabbled into the world of laser facials and becoming a tox girlie and I'm obsessed!…read more As a Black woman, I've had tons of anxiety about working with aestheticians who don't fully understand melanated skin and I'm so happy to report back that tjat is NOT the case here. Things I absolutely love about this business: - during my first consultation, Kristian took a look at my skin, asked me my concerns, my skin care routine, etc. she then emailed me with a relatively simple skincare routine that was not filled with super expensive products and recommended products that complemented the current products I use. Wasn't sales-y at all and I loved it. - she also recommended services they offer that would again complement my existing skin se routine (which made me feel like, she was truly interested in adding to what I have going on, not replacing) - I only did one laser facial...BUT I'm convinced pairing the facial with the skincare routine she recommended, my skin was noticeably different. - now...when I went in for tox for my birthday...ICING ON THE CAKE! They explained everything so perfectly, again...administered injections based on what I wanted (didn't wanna look frozen, but wanted some limited movement) and I am now obsessed. I may or may not have spent the last two months showing off my wrinkle free forehead to my friends as my new party trick. - the office is SUPER nice. You feel like you're walking into an office or the future. It's so bright, So clean and they offer you water and snacks while you wait. Overall- really enjoy the staff. I love how they explain EVERYTHING to you and are very patient with newbies.

It literally feels like nothing so I found another company and went through them in which I actually got the prescription. It's not just pre filled vials that I have to just hope to God it's what it's they say it is in there. and for 8weeks and $700 later I have seen so results not felt the shot after I took them . So I got a new place and they gave me my first shot in the actual office with a real sighn not a banner and they have a receptionist with a really weighting room and after one shot I can atleast feel medicine in my body..... I would not recommend getting a weight loss shot product through them at $350 and I did it for two months and so no results. And never saw them fill my syringes so don't even know what the hell i put in me! Hopefully this new company I will see results but I already feel better because I feel the shot in my body this time for all I know they could've just been giving me water and syringes because it just came pre-syringe. The whole thing was just super sketchy and I should've known from the very beginning but you know as girls will do what we wanna do want to get skinny but I would not go here and waste your money ladies I wasted a lot of money here hopefully you won't cuz it was just was very sketchy all the way around and I would stay away!!!

NoBe Aesthetics and Wellness is a one stop shop to a better you!!…read more My experience here has been overwhelming positive, and Jen and her team are always so knowledgeable, welcoming, and uplifting. I had a consultation for a few face and skin care treatments-and Jen was so thorough in explaining the different options and processes if/when I decided to proceed. She takes her time answering questions, and is a wealth of professional and personal knowledge. The space is kept immaculate with tones of pinks and metals, and lots of natural light..plus, there's plenty of free parking right out front. Treatments can be a pretty penny, but NoBe offers rewards programs and (possibly) package deals. Overall yelpers, I highly recommend NoBe for your beauty and glow up needs.

As for laser, this is my two cents and my experience. I've researched a lot of places and a lot about laser hair removal - having someone recognize and understand how to treat people of color is vastly important to the laser hair removal experience. I first started with my underarms and after my first session i saw great results. And so I decided to do the full body hair removal. Interesting fact, different parts of your body are of different tones so it requires a different intensity of laser. She will test the skin type & color w a small device and adjust the laser accordingly. Pain wise if you're wondering - I have a relatively high pain tolerance and waxing doesn't really hurt for me - laser felt like a dull needle poking at my skin for like 5 seconds. The process is very fast if you've prepped well. Prep includes shaving against the grain before your visit & being clean! She's really kind, patient, and quite thorough. I very much recommend getting laser if you're tired of waxing / shaving and I recommend it with her. She's very knowledgeable and very good at her art. I was VERY skeptical about the process but I see short term results and am being patient for the long term results! I have about 4 more sessions - will update then! :) Can't tell you enough about how great the experience is end to end. 20/10 recommend.

Dr. Dana blesses me every time I come into this place! She is a beautiful spirit and a wealth of…read moreknowledge. She's a wonderful person to talk to and she is incredibly knowledgeable. Aesthetics is only a small part of her knowledge base and she is amazing at what she does! I stopped by the MedSpa on a whim. It's right next door to my accountant's office, so I decided to check them out. I'm so glad I let curiosity get the best of me. Dr. Dana was at the front when I entered and I asked her if there were any treatment options for the dark circles under my eyes, which several dermatologists have told me was hereditary and "just a part of getting older". I had no appointment, but Dr. Dana immediately took me to the back to discuss my options. It was like my entire world opened up. There were so many treatment options available, including many that were topical and non-invasive. I was absolutely blown away. What I really appreciated is that she wasn't trying to sell me anything, but really just educate me and inform me so that I could decide what was best for me. She sat with me for about an hour (again, with no appointment) to put together a treatment plan and discuss next steps. Now when I say she's a wealth of knowledge, I can't overstate that. She has been incredibly proactive in recommending things that I didn't even know were available to me. Things that I didn't even ask her about. For example, we were casually talking about the weather and I was telling her how dry it was making my scalp. She was able to recommend a product to help me manage the dryness (something that my dermatologist never thought to do) and it has been an absolute game changer. During one of my treatments, I casually mentioned how tired I have been feeling after work and how I didn't have much energy at the end of the day. She could have just smiled and nodded, treating it like casual conversation, but instead she pulled that conversational thread to try to get to the root cause. She then offered some recommendations to try to help me get my energy back. What started as casual conversation ended with me feeling like a brand new person by the time I left the MedSpa. This place doesn't just rejuvenate my body, it rejuvenates my spirit. Everyone in there is just so kind, welcoming, and wonderful. It's really like being among friends. It's a place to relax, get away from the world for a little bit, indulge in some much-deserved self-care, as well as truly be cared for.
