I have stopped recommending this apartment complex to my friends, co-workers, and acquaintances…read more The building is nice enough, and the gym is ok but Ashbury Square has a big problem: the staff. Specifically Nancy, the manager. I had heard rumors about staying under her radar but to my regret I did not. She is all sunshine and flowers when you move in and then whenever you pay your rent but if you have a concern or problem she completely shuts down and turns into an unfeeling business robot. She does not see the residents as paying customers and is rude, condescending, and breaks verbal agreements (a big no-no in customer service conflict management). The management company should be concerned, the turnover rate is very high (I see moving trucks every week) and problems go unaddressed since residents don t want to bother with a rude manager. I will not go into my specific dealings with Nancy (and the stories I have heard from other residents) since she still has my security deposit clutched in her cold, unprofessional hands but once I move out I am listing every reason you SHOULD NOT LIVE HERE.

We have been counting down the days until we can officially move out. Upon our supposed move in…read moredate we were told we had to wait another day to move in because they needed to replace our carpets and "clean" then the next day came and we STILL weren't able to move in because they had to replace our floorboards. This was such an inconvenience for us because we had to take off of work again when we had already planned our time off to go ahead and move. Then when we finally were able to move in we were disgusted at how DIRTY the apartment was. The showers had dirt all over the bottom of them, the walls have been painted over dirt, there's mold patches all over the ceilings, there were dead roaches and spiders all over the bathrooms and kitchen! We weren't able to use our master bedroom bathroom shower OR toilet for the first month of us living there because of some kind of water leakage we weren't aware of before moving in. Then when it was fixed we realized our toilet didn't flush properly so maintenance came to "fix" it and it still won't flush so we haven't used that gross bathroom since we moved in. Our living room fan didn't have the on and off cord that you pull so maintenance attached a long ugly string to the fan for us to use and then told us our fan would only have one setting now. This is only a FEW of the many many many issues this apartment complex has. Hopefully the new management does a better job than the last because they did a poor one.

After some calls and an email regarding optaining a parking pass they never responded. Yet I wake up Saturday morning to my car gone. Towed.. Quite an experience here. And to add to this yes, I did have a parking pass before. I got into a bad wreck and my insurance company kept the totaled car. Therefore I need a parking pass for my new which I´ve only had for one month.

Food trucks are extremely expensive! This was a nice place when I moved in but it has gone downhill over time. There is a problem with moisture and I need an industrial de-humidifier to keep the place from feeling like the Amazon. No consideration has ever been given for this problem. You will not be happy if you rent a place here. I am disabled, I don't own a car and I'm in my 70's. I do not have the resources to move so I am stuck.

The staff especially Sherry refuses to be of any assistance but does everything to deflect and make the matter worse. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. They are horrible.
