Not for lack of trying, I went to the UPS shop just down the street and found it is "closed permanently", then the UPS store that used to be downtown Port Angeles is no longer in business! The company I wanted to return an item to, has no store front operations and nowhere else to ship from, other than this nice lady. She made it work even though I couldn't use my printer. This place is a nightmare. I loaned my friend some money to rent a unit -- put it on my credit card. We were both very clear that I was only paying for the first month and that my card number was not to be kept on file. They did it anyway and automatically charged my card the next month. Since then it's been one thing after another for my friend -- setting up autopay without permission, changing payment dates, processing payments weeks ahead of the due date without permission, then refusing to refund the money. This is a big deal when you're on a tight budget. They can screw up payments and make all the mistakes they want and you just have to deal with it, but don't you dare be late with your payment or they will lock you out. And make sure you put your lock on exactly the way they say, with the keyhole facing the right direction, or they will charge you fines. Also prepare to get locked inside the facility when the gate malfunctions -- don't worry, the cops will come eventually and let you out. The icing on the cake -- there are rodents in the units that will chew holes in your stuff and defecate and urinate on everything. I get that storage is hard to come by in this area but do whatever you can to avoid this unscrupulous business. I've had units at several places over the years and never seen anything like this -- I would sell my stuff before I'd store it here. read more

Infested with mice and Rats! We were moving to Port Angeles in September 2023, so we did tons of research and called basically every storage facility in the area. The manager at Deer Park assured me how clean and rodent free it was. we booked a unit for our stuff, a space for our travel trailer and booked a mailbox for 6 months. we moved our stuff in on September 2nd. from the check in we were concerned. The front desk girl was soooo rude at check in, she even had the nerve to come over when we were unloading to tell us that if our dog peed on the ground, they would fine us! we just traveled 3 days across country and our dog was sitting quietly tied up while we unloaded. But, besides all the that...this place is infested. We unloaded our stuff and went to our new home. The next day we stopped by to grab a few things and there were mice in everything! Mice poop all over the floor, 2 mice jumped out a box on to me, horrible! when we went to the office the same rude girl was totally dismissive, so we went back later and talked to the manager, who was even worse. She was condescending and tried to say they just got infested with mice the day before we moved in!! She claimed that someone had moved in and brought the mice....OK! I even called the other facility in Sequim and left a message for the owner who never called me back. We immediately canceled our trailer space and hired movers and got out of there as quick as possible. Unfortunately, we had to keep all our belongings in there for 10 days before movers were available and when we did move our stuff out every box had been chewed up, poop was on everything, and nests had been made. We threw away numerous things that were just covered in feces....it was so disgusting and unbelievable. The experience was horrible, the facility is infested, and the people working there and running it are miserable, disrespectful and so unprofessional. This place will tank itself eventually because you cannot treat people like this, lie to people like this and think word won't get out. I waited till our mail service there ended before posting this, for fear of retaliation, but it is time to warn others about this horrible place! read more

A friend had a unit here, when he passed instead of giving his contents to his wife or family they sold it with out contacting them. The family had reached out right away and many times and no one would give them access or call them back. These are bad people! Too bad ya can't give zero stars. read more

I just cannot see how someone would have a problem with this place. Insurance issues, really? They were polite, professional, and courteous to me in every one of my three interactions with them. Not the cheapest, but certainly not the most expensive. I would recommend them highly. read more

Called to talk to a manager about waiving $40 in fees yesterday due to a bank account issue. She stated to call back tomorrow and talk to a manager and to pay then. I called today to talk to a manager who's very rude and bitchy stating she could not refund the $40 in fees and stated that I owed $130. I asked excuse me how it was just $80 something yesterday how is it $130 now? She says well another $50 fee hit your account today and you said you were going to pay Monday. I stated well I'm so sorry it slipped my mind, I called yesterday to pay and your staff told me to call today and talk to you and now I'm getting charged $130 for a $35 storage! Wtf!? DON'T I REPEAT DONT GO TO DEER PARK SELF STORAGE!!! Manager is a bitch sorry but it's true and is not willing to work with people. If I wasn't already getting my things out before this I would definitely after dealing with her! read more

Rented a unit for exactly 1 year. Moved out 2 days early. They charged me extra and when I disputed it the csr said the computer figures it automatically. She couldn't figure out or explain why I was charged, just kept blaming the computer. When I asked to speak to the owner she said "you can't". Then said they never know when he comes in and that he's "out of town". Then said She didn't need me there anymore since she felt threatened because I raised my voice... ugh. The place seems half empty. Now I know why. My friend, a tenant there, parked his van inside the compound for a few hours quite unexpectedly to go to another city to help me out with a situation that came up. He said the CSR Mike had been awesome and he was sure the office wouldn't mind. After all, they had his vehicle description and license plate number, as they do for tenants. We ended up getting a motel room as we were too tired to drive back. First thing in the morning he called to explain he'd be back in a few hours and could he pay for parking there for the night. The female CSR said she already called the tow truck. She would not cancel it. She would not give him some time to get back to town. He offered to have a local friend move the van and she said "no!". Evergreen Towing towed it ... and damaged the transmission on his WORK VAN as they towed it incorrectly. i paid a $250 tow bill. The repair bill hasn't come in yet. I told her I saw a person living in one of the units. I question their security. The friend did come to try to move the van and she called for a state trooper when the friend complained when she said "no!". The state trooper didn't stay to indulge her very long. Just an FYI...this storage facility requires your social security number in order to rent. Their reason is that they do random security checks on their customers. Additionally, on their application form they want census information about you under the guise that they will be better able to serve you if they have this information, i.e., how long have you lived in your house, etc. Management was pushy and rude when asked why they needed a social security number, as they have your drivers license and credit card. Think carefully before making the decision to part with your most personal information. As a retired Law Enforcement Officer, I see no reason for a customer to relinquish their social security number for the possible background check. A drivers license and credit card will provide all necessary information apart from satisfying the wishes of the owner. I'm sure that management can find a few week justifications for needing a customers Social Security number, but it is not necessary. The bottom line is that they require this information. The decision is yours, however, again, think carefully before you commit to relinquishing your Social Security number to anyone that you don;t know. I was informed by management that there were other places to rent from if I didn't want to provide this information. True statement, albeit disappointing. As management suggested, I decided to go elsewhere. read more
