The cafe was great grabbed coffee & pastry in the morning. We ate at West Coast Grill a couple of times, also was great. The views from our room were amazing. The room was clean and very spacious especially the bathroom. Great location, was able to explore the coast also Victoria. Overall, it was a great stay. We would stay here again.

The bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept in, and the sound machine was a 10/10. I loved it so much that I actually tried to buy the same one for my home! The location is fantastic if you plan to explore on foot, and the parking garage was convenient and easy to use for those bringing a car. The staff were also incredibly accommodating; they offer early check-in or late check-out when availability allows, and they'll happily hold your luggage for extended periods so you can keep exploring the city without carrying everything around. One fun bonus: don't forget to try the complimentary Hangry Hippo gummies! The light blue ones were my favorite. Overall, this was a comfortable, convenient, and welcoming place to stay. We'd absolutely stay here again.

The front desk staff were very nice and helpful. There was no wait at all to check-in. Check-out was also very quick, there was no line so it only took a minute. The hotel has parking but requires a room key to go down into the underground parking lot. There are lots of spots available. The hotel also allows cars to be parked after checkout until 3pm (as of writing), which is really nice of them. The room I received was spacious. Upon arrival, there were nature sounds (birds, wind, forest theme) playing and the fan was on. There is heating but no air conditioning, and so the room was pretty warm, even for early April weather. I was given a room on the 7th floor, for reference. My room had a full kitchen, including a stove, fridge, sink, and microwave. Even had a taller dining table that serves as a kitchen island. The bathroom is big and feels luxurious, with both a shower and a bathtub. There were many towels supplied, as well as body wash, shampoo and conditioner. Overall a great experience. Would definitely stay here again.

This Magnolia is conveniently located within a very short walking distance to Victoria Harbor. It's also within walking distance to many tourist attractions, shops and restaurants. My room was very cozy. Loved using the Nespresso coffee maker. They make a great cup of coffee. I slept so well too. Nothing like sleeping on a bed at this quality or star hotel. Overall, I felt it was worth the money. They also allowed me to drop my bags at the coat check room for an hour until I had to check in for my seaplane ride back to Vancouver Harbor. I plan on returning to Victoria and will strongly consider staying at this hotel again.

The Magnolia proved to be the perfect choice. The Magnolia exceeded our expectations! During our two-night mid-week stay, every interaction was seamless -- from the efficient valet service and smooth check-in process to attentive housekeeping and hassle-free checkout. Rather than dining at The Courtney Room restaurant, we took advantage of Victoria's fantastic walkable dining scene. Our only minor comfort issue was the room temperature -- even with the AC running, we found ourselves opening the windows as wide as they would go for that lovely coastal breeze. Fair warning though: the harbor seagulls are incredibly chatty and apparently never sleep! LOL One small disappointment: our car was returned from the valet absolutely covered in bird droppings -- quite a lot! While I understand the hotel can't control wildlife, it was surprising to receive our vehicle in such a different condition than we'd left it. Would we return to the Magnolia Hotel & Spa? Absolutely! It's the perfect balance of intimate boutique charm while keeping you right in the heart of everything Victoria has to offer.

The linens seemed clean as one would hope! Breakfast, well, it's a gift with purchase and certainly not anything to write home about. While I understand some of these chain type hotel breakfasts can be the same, most will at least change it up and rotate. Every single day was the same thing. Don't get me wrong, I love me a waffle, but some variety would be appreciated.

The location almost can't be beat. It's just far enough from the hustle and bustle of downtown but only a few blocks away. Beacon Hill Park is right across the street and tons of good coffee shops within walking distance (also on several major bus lines when you get tired of walking). We would definitely consider returning here if/when we come back to Victoria.

It is easy walking distance to the harbour, fisherman's wharf and downtown Victoria. Parking is $20.00 a day. When we arrived at 1:00 our room was not ready but they gave us a parking voucher so we were able to park our car and explore Victoria. The staff were all very friendly. There are coffee and newspapers available in the lobby and they have a nice little courtyard outside the lobby but there were only 2 tables available. The room was clean but our room was very small and backed onto the main road. I had trouble sleeping because of traffic late and night and early in the morning. The air conditioning unit was also very loud so getting a good nights sleep was difficult. The price was reasonable for high season in Victoria. If we stayed again we ask for a room that does not face the main street.

The rooms look just as fresh and modern as they did a decade ago, and the beds are incredibly comfortable. We love staying in this part of Victoria because it is so walkable, with beautiful parks and charming local spots like The Village nearby. It's also a fantastic dog-friendly option, which made it easy to bring our two pups along for my mom's 70th birthday celebration. While the staff was fantastic and the mineral pools--especially the glass-roofed sauna with views of the ocean--remain a highlight, we did run into some frustrations. The AC struggled to get below 69°F in any of the three rooms we booked, leading to some restless nights. We also had the misfortune of being next to a very loud group that made it difficult to enjoy our outdoor space. The front desk was helpful enough to intercede at 10 PM so our son could finally get to sleep, but the thin walls and noise levels were disappointing given the premium rate. Overall, it is a stunning hotel in a perfect location, but the climate control and soundproofing issues were a bit of a letdown for this particular trip. It remains a beautiful spot for a family getaway, but we're hoping for a quieter and cooler experience next time.

Rebuilt a few years ago, they kept the original charm of what feels like a fairmont property. There is a lovely pool area with mineral pools and small beach access area. Gym is open 24 hours, there are quite a few options for coffee, cocktails and dining. Our room was spacious with an ocean view, if you open the door you can hear the water running to shore from the balcony. The king size bed was just the right amount of firmness, plush bedding was very comfortable. Small fireplace with wall mounted tv above had a good selection of stations. Big soaker tub with sliding peek a boo doors to the bedroom means you can soak and watch tv or chat with your roomie. Large shower, double sinks and separate toilet area was nice. They have Babor amenity bath and shower products. Nespresso machine with pods and real creamers in fridge, microwave and cooktop for those who want to cook in room. Plush robes and bath salts are a nice touch. Room was $500+, so amenities and comfort were commensurate.
