Mold and mildew coming out of vents. Bedding stained, chair stained with blanket covering ripped hole. The pictures of lodging on the website and Facebook looked nothing like this. My daughter is pregnant and conditions were dangerous for her. Tried to call and text the person we had been in contact with. No answer, hours later got a text that she was busy and couldn't answer the phone. In the meantime we had to find other lodging for the night. Kept calling the next morning and was called back and yelled at for calling so much and told she was busy handling something else and would call whenever she got a chance and hung up on me. We were booked for 2 nights and a charter. They called my husband an hour or so later and told him they had no lodging for us and were only concerned when he mentioned a bad review. They wouldn't give our deposit back. We booked this trip last February. I'm at teacher and my husband works maintenance for the state of MS. We saved for a year to bring our children on this trip. We were discarded and left stranded 4 hours from home. See attached pictures. I only gave 1 star because it wouldn't let me leave 0 stars.

Be sure to bring cash, you will want to tip him, min. $20 per person. The lodge here is comfortable and set up well. He can get you on the hogs and always gets us on tons of fish while bowfishing. He knows the area like the back of his hand. We ain't the best of shots haha but we always manage to get fish laughing an smiling the whole time. Him and his mates have been fun an helpful the whole way thru from novice to expert and wives an children. Its a great place to stay on the water and in your down time you can dock fish, bbq, relax, etc.

The accommodations were awesome and much nicer than any other fishing lodge I've stayed at in south Louisiana. Especially the outdoor area which is huge and very comfortable. The best part was the large outdoor kitchen where Chef Burney grilled some delicious Ribeye steaks for us. The breakfast and lunch he provided the next day were amazing as well. The next morning we set out late while he patiently waited for some of us, who may have had a bit too much fun the night before, to get moving. Despite the late start, we had a very successful day of fishing. Captain Burney, yes the chef also is a fishing captain, knew some really good spots on the water to catch fish. He even fed us after fishing, cleaning and packing our fish filets in bags and ice to go. I can't say enough about my experience with WB fishing and will definitely be back again. We enjoyed our room with it's comfy bed and pillows, small sitting room and updated bath with refrigerator. It was lovely to stay in a home built in the 20's with original hardwood flooring. Lots of snacks and coffee plus sodas and juices in the break room made us feel right at home. The huge screened in porch overlooking the MS River is also a comfy place to hang out and relax. Very quiet and our favorite restaurant, Black Velvet, is right next door. We will always stay at Patty's Place on our bi-annual trips to Buras, LA. Thanks for a wonderful vacation, Nichole.
