My one real issue was when I was advised to get a Shingrix vaccine in my late 50s for economic reasons. I did not need this vaccine - my immunity is excellent - and the vaccine affected me very adversely, causing an autoimmune response and inflammation that has never gone away (I did not get the booster). Dr. Young did not seem concerned. This is a place where you need to do your own research and ask lots of questions. I can not give enough praise to Dr Wilhelm and the staff at PrimeHealth. While I had some concerns…read moreabout the costs of a concierge practice, it's some of the best money I have spent. Dr Wilhelm is caring, knowledgable, and so committed to providing the best care. My son, who is also a patient of hers, had a very scary medical issue...thanks to Dr Wilhelm, her team, and the team of Dr's she put together, he is not only fine, but thriving. Honestly, I don't know what we would have done without her. Had we not been patients in this practice, and going through the "standard" medical process - well, I can't even imagine....and thank goodness I don't have to. Thank you!

After several bad experiences with Mountain Medical on Haywood county, my wife asked on of her…read morespecialists for a referral to an Asheville GP. He recommended Biltmore Medical Associates. Before the initial visit, there was an extensive medical history taken. At the first visit, my wife expected the usual hour wait and 10-15 minutes with the doctor. She was ushered into a room immediately and an extensive battery of tests began. The doctor then spent almost 3 1/2 hours discussing her medical needs. I was waiting for her in the car and became so worried that I went inside to ask about her. The receptionist assured me that this was typical for first visits. It may be a bit of a drive for us living in Waynesville, but the quality of care is certainly with it.

I got a blood panel test in early February and here I am 2 months later, having called 10 or 12 times asking and I still don't have those results. As a patient who's paid for these results ( at least I pay my insurance to pay for them) they are rightfully mine and I'm frustrated by this situation. It makes me think the results were never tested for or that they were lost or discarded.
