Sunshine Painting is magnificent, and Javier is exceptional!!!…read more Our beautiful home was absolutely destroyed by renters, but Javier and his crew restored everything to perfection. He was fantastic in every way, and for several reasons, I recommend Sunshine and Javier with my highest praise. First, they did a stunning job on painting every room in the house, which included wide crown, base, doors, stairs, and window molding, strange nooks and cranny areas, and perfectly color-matching new paint to the colors in each room. The trim work was perfect, there were no drips or painting mistakes, and then crew covered all parts of floors and unpainted doors and millwork. Second, Javier and his crew fixed many broken or destroyed parts of the house that included: 1. Fixing a large chunk of a rounded (bull nose) wall corner that had been smashed, which included replacing metal framing and plastering several parts of the wall corner. 2. Restoring to like-new condition 15 wooden windowsills that were stained, dented, chipped, warped, peeling, had deep coffee mug stains, and water damage where the renters left the windows open year-round with no concern about rain and weather damage. 3. Removing and patching several very large, industrial eye-bolts that had been anchored into the walls and ceiling. 4. Repairing a kitchen cabinet door that had been kicked in (which I other handymen said would need to be replaced). 5. Repainting, at no extra cost, the entire kitchen cabinetry because Javier didn't like how the old kitchen cabinets looked dingy next to the newly repaired and freshly painted door. 6. Custom building a vent grate under the kitchen cabinet. 7. Purchasing, at no extra cost, floor and ceiling vents that were either broken or missing. 8. Fixing the clothes hanging bar and multiple shelves that were torn down in a large walk in closet. 9. Replacing broken banister poles and reaffixed part of banister handrail that were broken. 10. Repairing the fireplace mantel that had been pulled away from the wall. Third, Javier was incredibly helpful and accommodating when I had a family emergency and couldn't cover all details with him. I just handed him the keys to the house and told him to do whatever he thought needed to be done, and the results were spectacular! Fourth, Javier was very honest, accommodating, and his work was the highest quality. He never charged me for his extra work, and he was fantastic in his communication and texting me updates along the way. He is friendly, agreeable, a genuinely super nice person, and simply a pleasure to work with. -KB

I've hired M & M Home Repair twice: March 2019 and January 2021 to fix broken backyard fence both…read moretimes. Here are pros & cons and my advice if you are thinking of hiring them. PROS + Mike tries to address the cause of the problem. I have lost a total of 7 fence posts in the past 5 years because they rot. Mike used the Rotbloc Wrap to prevent the posts from rotting under the ground. + Mike was able to give me a free estimate and repaired my face. There were delays but he did it in the end. I tried to get a quote from big names in town, but I couldn't. CONS -Both times when I hired Mike, there was a problem with details, some big, some small. First time (2019), his crew fixed my fence but didn't do a good job. He had to come back to fix it himself. Second time (2021), I notice that one of the posts was longer and a few of them were shorter than other posts. He fixed the post that was too long, but there was nothing that could be done with the two posts that are too short (by about 6 inches). ADVICE *Make sure to inspect the site when they are done to make sure everything looks good. *Get quotes from other contractors. I found out later that a Yelper friend of mine in town hired a different contractor and paid less than half of what I paid. I could be comparing apples and oranges, but both he and I had 4 posts replaced in January 2021. Send me a private message if you want to know who my Yelp friend used. *Pay cash/check. There's a 3.9% processing fee for credit card payments. Overall, I'm happy with M & M, and I think I will use them again. He made good on his offer to make me better than whole. He didn't have to. I think it shows the strength of his character to own and to make an effort to remedy the past mistakes. Before and while work was in process Austin's office staff or support crew worked diligently to keep the project moving as quickly as possible. They smoothed communication issues and kept me updated. Austin's crew lead by Luis replaced the composition shingle roof with a new metal one. They were super-friendly and courteous. I love the new color! The same is true for the new exterior color. My greatest concern with the previous job was with the board and bat siding. Those concerns were justified by water-stains. Austin's crew remedied my concerns by replacing boards and bats. The previous scope of work was limited to two walls. Austin's crew weather-proofed the bats on all four sides of the house. And finally they stained those four sides with a new, more modern color. All of this was done at no financial cost to me. So thank you again to Austin and the Fly Guys.

He listens carefully and makes sure he understands exactly what you expect, and he completely delivers on it. His knowledge and dedication to his craft are impressive, and he makes it clear that the job isn't done until you are satisfied. I hired MOTIV to repaint my accent walls, a few of which were very narrow, had extreme angles, or could be hard to reach, and the results speak for themselves. His lines are crisp and straight, he left my house cleaner than he found it, and even corrected a few imperfections with my walls that he certainly didn't have to. All of this for a price that I found beyond reasonable. I was so pleased with his work that I immediately hired him to complete a few other projects.
