They included a heavy 40 pack of water and 2-40 # bags of salt. I requested help out. (they were heavy!) No one was coming! I waited. I finally told her I'd be at the front door. Waiting..... Finally I asked George (I asked his name) from the self check out and he said he would help me. That is what he did. Put all the heavy stuff into my car and was kind about it. Rate a 2, and that's generous.

Most of the time the checkers don't speak except to say there you go, have a nice day as they hand over the receipt. The other day I looked at the guy checking and said "you're welcome and he just turned away. I went to customer service and told the guy there that since my money spent there helps pay the help, they could at least say thank you. He just nodded and looked the other way. I know how hard it is to find help. these days, but it's important to train the checkers and other staff the importance of treating the customers courteously. I live out of town and have to drive quite a ways to get to the store. I guess I better find another grocer as I won't be treated that way any longer. I guess my business isn't wanted. Another store will welcome my grocery shopping of in excess of 600.00 a month. Nomatter how much a person spends, they should still be appreciated. Thank you for your time. SL

The lady in the deli, name tag said "Lesley", was the most rude, vulgar woman to all three of us waiting in line. I will never go to any other Safeway deli because of how she treated us. Never. They were following safety precautions- counting customers in/out & encouraging spacing... there were also directional floor stickers that were regularly ignored. Staff were incredibly friendly and each one we crossed not only greeted us, they also made small talk, without being overly intrusive. Staff were in masks, as were about 50% of patrons. She told me twice that even if she could do something it would be a hour away. I didn't care how long it took She had no customer service skills for someone in her position and you would think someone of her age would. Health care professionals she was not. More like she climbed up from the depths of hell. I would never even visit this store or pharmacy ever ......
