Debenhams in Perth is very dated and looks seriously under-invested, almost as if they stopped caring about this branch a long time ago. From the brown tiles on the ceiling to the strip lighting, everything looks like a throwback to the 1980s.
It looked pretty huge from the outside but the store was a bit cramped and dingy inside. There were no windows and it just felt quite grotty and dirty, especially compared to the big shiny M&S down the street.
But it is Debenhams, and everything there is standard for what you would expect. There is a smelly perfume bit at the front and a pricey cafe selling mediocre grub on the top floor. One annoying thing is the escalators only go up, so if you end up on the top floor you will have to use the lift or walk all the way downstairs.
