I did not personally choose this business. It was chosen for me by my Vet, Dr Ibarra with Animal…read moreClinic of Merritt Island as they use the services specifically of Best Friends Cremation in Titusville, FL. I had no prior interactions here, & no reason to think my beloved dogs ashes would be treated with anything less then the care one would expect shown to all sent to be returned in the last memories of any furry loved one. I do not know to date what exactly transpired there, only that after a month passed? I inquired through my Vet office as the service was chosen by the office & thought perhaps something had gone wrong. When the Vet office contacted this cremation office? They were told that my dogs name had been of an issue in spelling?? Causing the effective hold up on returning my dogs ashes for pickup to bring him home the only way possible now. Strange to my thoughts as a simple call would have quickly resolved any spelling issues encountered correct? My dogs name is certainly not one of extensive reasearch needed to provide spelling as Axel does not seem to me as a name needing investigational tutelage, but I rationalized perhaps that was a time of exceptional volume of need within the animal cremation profession & decided to wait patiently, so I did not inquire again until another few weeks passed. Sadly, a friend also lost their dog around the same date as Axel? So when he relaid to me he received ashes back in days, not weeks or well over a month as mine were taking, I did become concerned. The misspelling or uncertain of spelling should not have caused the amount of time now passed, it did not then nor now make any sense to myself or others. Again another call was placed to my Vets office and bless them, they were so helpful. After calls were made the ashes finally arrived at the Vet office & available for pickup two (2) days after. The length of time taken over the spelling of my dogs name should not have required well over a month to possibly several in resolve. A five minute phone call would have supplied any information related to spelling correctly a four letter name. Their services are not inexpensive, not in the least. But when you place trust in the handling with the remains of a lived one? You expect a certain level of security in providing the correct remains to the correct person. I however feel in question of exactly that. I have no confidence that what I was provided is indeed my dog. Why would this misspell continue with the return of all? Please see the pictures attached for verification in the continued issue that was the supposed rectified problem holding up this process. So if the issue was never resolved? How do I have assurance in the remains being mine? No, the lack of honest communication between this cremation service & basically the non caring that was provided in returning all without explanation as to why the misspelling was never corrected on ANY of the keepsakes provided, not the certificate of cremation nor was MY last name included as I was the owner of record and as I see it? I paid for a litany of errors & non corrected process. I do not feel secure that what I was given is actual what claimed. I am certain anyone that would go through the seres of misinformation provided would feel as insecure in the remains. Please view attached below. My dogs name is Axel, not any records show *Axle" in his fifteen years. I strongly suggest that if you are in need of your pets cremation services you research & locate a more stable & forthright business then Best Friends Cremation. I would hate for anyone to feel the questions posed from this lack of proper procedures. Trust me, you do not want questions in the last interaction your beloved pet will have.

The kind vet at Dr George told me they used Best Friends Cremation and said how nicely everything was done through them. I recieved my cat's ashes with so many sweet extras along with comforting poems. Everything was done exceptionally. Even though I broke down in tears all over again seeing everything they included. It was so comforting to know they take it seriously and know exactly how to make every cremation they handle as though it was a loved one for them too. Thank you so much.
