Amazing wholesome home cooked food. Sweet southern mannerisms. They have anything you could ever need.

Since my original review was deleted by Yelp because I used a WalMart Manager's name, I will repost…read moremy review without the name. I was in the deli, getting some meat sliced, a very nice young man was helping me very pleasant very helpful, then a rude human wearing a Walmart vest (name redacted to appease Yelp" walked up. In front of me and another customer she was very rude to the young man that was slicing my meat. Told him in a very rude voice pay attention to what you're doing. You've got other things to be doing, don't be chit chattin. I found this completely unacceptable the young man was slicing my meat asking me how I wanted it being very cordial and providing me with what I considered good service. there was absolutely no reason for her to walk up and interrupt the conversation and be rude. Here's a little advice (name redacted to appease Yelp) if you feel the need to correct an employee why don't you do it in the back instead of doing it in front of customers. It makes the whole situation worse for everyone. And there's no need to be rude, If your having a bad day go home, don't ruin everyone else's day too.

I hate Walmart's. And I've not shopped at one in almost 10 years not even online. But my girlfriend…read moreand I needed some house hold ideas and it's the only thing around that was open at that time. Honestly I should have gone to Kroger's or the dollar store. But she dragged me in there against my will. We had then whole conversation about it not stopping to show my receipt. I never signed a contract to do so nor does it say on the door I have to before entering the store so then treating a customer like a criminal is just wrong. This is a very small town with only 2 registers and self checkout open the door girl Clearly saw us check out and still asked "can I see your receipt" and to which I replied "no thank you" and kept walking making the girlfriend laugh all the way to the car. I was not trying to be funny but it's not right or lawful to ask for a ticket.

It was Sunday so options were limited and, I HAD to replace the tire. All SEEMED well when I left, there was a bit of a shimmy but, it was my first road trip in this vehicle so I didn't think much of it. Made it to Atlanta and parked the car for the two weeks I was there. I had a rental for work and parked next to my truck every night. On the way back, the truck started shaking badly. I pulled over on the highway thinking I had a flat. Nothing. Checked the suspension, all looked fine. Tried to go a little bit and the truck just shook. I had it towed to Pep Boys. As the mechanic was pulling it into the garage, another guy came running out, waving his arms, yelling. My wheel, the one THIS WALMART replaced, was ready to fall off. It had two sheared lug posts and the remaining lugs were very ready to go. The wheel had been improperly seated by WALMART I had to pay for the repair AND a hotel for the two days I had to spend waiting on a new wheel. My wheel was ruined, the holes were bored out, making it useless. Not to mention the HUGE SAFETY RISK this put me in. Pep Boys got me all fixed up and back on the road. When I stopped at this location to see about them reimbursing me for the repairs, replacement wheel and lost days, they offered me $350. About a third of my total out of pocket. I told them that was unacceptable and we filled out the claim paperwork. Their claims guy called, I explained what had happened and he said he'd look into it. I have a job. A pretty good job. I was not looking to rip them off, I don't need to. I wasn't doing a "slip and fall" wanting them to buy me a house. I got REMARKABLY BAD SERVICE THAT COULD HAVE(luckily it didn't) KILLED ME!! I wanted them to make it right. That is all. I didn't ask for ANYTHING. I would have settled for just my out of pocket but, the video showed the guy torquing the lugs so, NOTHING. They claim NO FAULT AND I AM OUT ALMOST $1200!?! Needless to say, I am in the process of suing them now. If you mess up to the degree they did, SOMEBODY has to make it right. Especially when all that is being asked is what it cost me to repair YOUR BAD SERVICE!!

We first discovered Hampton Ridge Farm at the Covington Farmers Market last summer. They're one of…read morethe regular vendors - and we purchased some of their infamous Cottage Bacon, and a dozen farm fresh eggs. My fiancé also picked up some of their pamphlets, and had been carrying around the idea that we should buy all of our meat directly from the farm ever since. He'd brought it up a few times, but finally let me know a few weeks ago that he'd placed an order for chicken, pork, and beef, and that we'd be picking it up on the farm from a man named Earl. At first, I was skeptical about visiting the farm. I am so on board with sustainable, organic, local farming, but I didn't exactly want to see "how the sausage gets made" ... literally. My fiancé assured me that we didn't have to see any of the actual animals, and that he just wanted to check out the space and meet the farmer. I hesitantly agreed, and I'm so glad I did. The farm is down in Glencoe, Kentucky ... probably 50 minutes outside of Cincy city limits. We set up a pick-up time, and were welcomed to the farm by a few sheep crossing the road in front of us (I don't eat lamb all that often, so I didn't mind seeing these particular animals). We were then officially greeted by Earl, who is probably the most down-to-earth and inventive man I've ever met. Earl gave us a small tour of the farm, explaining his resourceful processes, and how he keeps the animals cared for in different seasons. I was also grateful to know that he doesn't do any of the "processing" on site: that's handled by a middleman, who then returns the meat back to Earl to sell online and at the Farmers Market. Unfortunately, Earl explained he had just given all of his cows to his daughter and son-in-law for them to start their own farm, so he was fresh out of beef products. He did, however, stock us up on all sorts of chicken, pork sausage, chorizo, pork chops, and two dozen eggs. All of his products come frozen, and we brought an insulated bag with us for easy transport back to our home. While his prices are a little more than what you'd pay at the grocery store, you have to consider the quality and care you're paying for. Most people have no idea where their meat comes from ... even if it's organic. Even though I didn't want to actually see the animals, it's a remarkable feeling to know we're supporting a local farmer. And of course ... the proof is in the taste. Earl encouraged us to compare a store-bought chicken breast side-by-side with one from Hampton Ridge - and there's definitely a clear winner. If you're not looking to take a farm tour, don't worry, you don't have to! Visit their website and place an order for pick-up at the Covington Farmers Market. Or, just stop by the market and see what they have on hand: I promise you won't be disappointed!
