Days went by before I had any response, and when I did receive communication it was that my chosen date the time had already been booked. Mind you I had responded to their message the same day, they did not respond to tell me that the appointment had already been booked until 3 days later. I told them that I could not make the other available appointment (they only gave me 2 options that were more than a month out). That was on 9/6/2020, they did not respond to my following messages asking them if they received my last messages and asking if there were other appointments available. Keep in mind, they already had my money (nearly 1K). I finally called them today, 9/15/2020 and Keisha answered. Once she knew who I was she said "I don't think I'm the right artist for you so I am going to refund your money through PayPal and also send you referrals to other artists in the area that can better accomodate you". I asked her what led to this change and she said "I just don't think I'm going to be able to meet your needs with your eyebrows and your lips...". Wow! I can't believe I had already told my friends about her work, her artistic ability and her (supposed) popular classes. I will definitely be going back and reneging my recommendation for her services. She may be talented but her professional practices are putting and she is not worth the drama.

I left a message twice but never got a response. Finally, I physically went to the location but the business is behind an electronic lock. I did not know the code. I do a glass with some toning, and a trim and style. I love how my hair looks afterwards!! Emily does a great job with the gloss -- making it shiny, and the right amount of purple toned. The haircut is my favorite part, since I haven't found anyone else able to cut mine in a way that I like! She does a great job of not taking off too much length, but getting the split ends, and giving me the blunt style I'm looking for while maintaining some layers. I definitely plan to come back again! It gives me the time to look at the options and compare all the schedules. My daughter wanted a specific cut and our hair is very thick. If not cut correctly, the cut would easily turn out like a mushroom and not sleek. We showed Aynsley a pic my daughter liked, she looked at my daughters hair and was good to go. I'd traditionally 'hung out' when she got her haircut but this time she was confident to go up on her own. After the cut--which looked FABULOUS--they had built a relationship, had plans for next time and talked about hair care. I really loved not only the talent Aynsley brought but the experience. On a side note, while waiting I think I overheard a lady forgetting an appointment, when she arrived the male stylist was hospitable and didn't make her feel bad at all. When I informed the front desk that I could no longer wait, the receptionist was dismissive and argumentative. To make matters worse, she insisted I would still be charged for the appointment--even though no service was provided. I was charged $45 for nothing. That's not just poor time management--it's unacceptable customer service. I've disputed the charge with my credit card company. I'm not new to salons, and I understand delays happen. But professionalism means respecting your client's time, communicating clearly, and owning your mistakes. Bungalow failed on all counts. I will not be returning. They are fairly inexpensive but not worth the aggravation of poor time management.

I walked in and Ryan, middle seat, said hey and we got to work on the hair. He talked everything out, he didn't ignore me or do his own thing. He communicated all the way through about what I was looking for and how he planned to get there. Great conversation and when we got to the end, he asked for my opinion and if there was anything I wanted to change. I asked him questions about what I saw and he always said he could do anything I wanted, but why if he did this my hair would look like that. He explained how my hair laid and if he did certain things it could make my hair look goofy on the back or making a change on the side could change how the topped look. He didn't make me feel bad about my questions, he was just honest about what could happen. He gave me a clean cut and my hair looks great compared to how I stepped through the door. Ryan is experienced and customer friendly. Thank you, Ryan, I will be back for sure!
