The sister bar to Taboo next door, Taboo Kantine is run by the same team. Indoors has similar ambiance with the action mainly taking place outside during happy hour.
The two-top tables basically squeeze four chairs. Young servers are always about. Bartenders are friendly like Taboo. The key difference is that bar food comes out of the Kantine side (although you can order at Taboo too).
The deep-fried Bitterballen are great with the mustard dip. It seems we always order these (my fav Dutch snack). The little sausages are yummy too, and curly fries quickly disappear.
Taboo Kantine is a festive place to spend happy hour, even though happy hour prices are missing. Some nights indoor action takes the "stage" with drag shows. read more
