If you are a group from 7 up.... forget about ordering from the normal menu, all you can order from is the group menu (fixed)... no exceptions... very bad... they must have some complicated issues with billing and serving... and given the fact that was a Thursday and the restaurant was not full, i do not see much of any other excuse. Basically NOT very customer friendly.
Service was OK.
The food.... good... actually if not for the above, it would deserve maybe 3 stars.
Good starter of veal carpaccio well served with all the ornaments and a green pees cream... which is for sure a local twist to carpaccio.
My main was the free rage chicken, roasted, average... from how the meat detached from bones I would say not really a very free rage one, but was tasty and again well presented.
American cheese cake.... very tiny slim slide served with a pinut butter sauce ... this is for sure a Dutch version. It was nice... I would have eaten the double of the portion served.
The wines were good, average price. For those you can choose from the normal wine list.. as beverages are out of the group menu.
The whole ambiance is cool, a bit 90's but over all nice... maybe a bit more lighting would help to see who is around you, but hey... if you are in a group... who cares.
The whole restaurant has a window wall over the main street which is nice. In the same building there is a bar and also an hotel.
On the back a very large yard (hence the name) where you can lounge and sip your aperitif if the weather is good ... watch out for the many pigeons ... you know what I mean :)
Well, the menu was priced at 32 Euro... then with 2 average bottles of wine and water... we reached 47 with tip... mmmm... not worth the price. read more
