This was the restaurant in our hotel at Efteling. We had dinner here on the night that we arrived. You can make reservations in advance. We had not because we had planned to be at Efteling four hours earlier than we were but thanks to flight delays we did not get there until dinner time. Thankfully, they were able to seat us. It was a little early for dinner and so the restaurant wasn't too busy, but as the night went on it became more crowded for sure. Also, we were not there during a busy time of year so we were able to do a walk-in, but I would imagine it would be more difficult at other times of year. For dinner you could order off of a prefix menu or al la cart. My husband ordered a prefix menu and my son ordered a prefix menu and I just ordered a side. The Camembert that my husband got was absolutely delicious. It was my favorite thing that we had. My son had tomato soup which he absolutely loved. My husband had the venison and it was really good and the sauce was very flavorful. For sides, we had sprouts and gnocchi both of which were good. The gnocchi was fried which I did not anticipate. It was still very good but just different than I thought. My son had Spaghetti. It had more vegetables in it than he is used to, but miraculously he ate it. The dessert was really the showstopper here. My husband had a pumpkin cheesecake and it looked just like a pumpkin. It was absolutely stunning. My child had a winter garden dessert and it looked like a garden. It was gorgeous, but the crazy thing is it was also delicious. Their pastry chef deserves a raise!
Breakfast the next morning was in the same restaurant. In the morning they have a buffet, which was pretty good. They had scrambled eggs and bacon. They also had an assortment of pastries and breads. They had a very wide selection of yogurts. They had juices, milks coffees, etc. Overall, a great place. read more
