We were walking along Duval Street, as one typically does in Key West, and the stunning photography in the window drew us in. The artist is Jorge De La Torriente and his photography on display ranged from beach and oceanfront scenes to Cuba to the Angel Tree outside Charleston. Niall was very gracious and helpful, even after we stated we were only window shopping. While I would love to own one of these pieces, we need to get our house in order first to where having a piece of fine art on the wall won't look so out of place! But hopefully we'll be back one day when we're ready to make a purchase. read more

Key West is one of my daughter and I's favorite places. My daughter passed in 2015 (age 19; brain cancer). When I got her ashes back I took some of her to Key West and put her at her favorite beach at sunset. I walked past De Le Gallery and stopped in my tracks. The entire studio is absolutely breath taking. Jeff & Melanie could not have been any nicer. I am the proud owner of 2 prints from De Le Gallery. I have a little slice of Key West in my home. Absolutely fantastic... beautiful works with fantastic stories. We met the co owner of the place and he was wonderful. Best photography art on the Island and a wonderful collection of bright and colorful art. Perfect for my beach house.

We didn't buy anything so I just want to state that first. What I want to review is the staff. We met with Trevor. My husband and I are interested in art collecting and have only purchased one piece thus far, a custom sculpture by an artist we met. So while in Key West, we were just looking to explore the art galleries. This one looked nice, and the aerial photographs and pastel colors really interested us but ultimately, we still aren't sure whether photography collection is the route we are interested in. Anyhow, Trevor was AMAZING. He talked us through so much. We learned a lot of about art and art collecting and prints and limited additions and the whole bit. We left feeling more knowledgable than we had leaving any of the the tens of galleries we have already visited (not to mention the sculpture and art shows we've visited). If you're interested in photography or if you have questions, go to De La to see some really beautiful photos that will actually look good in your home (since they are matte and BEAUTIFUL), but also, stop in for the conversation with Trevor. read more

Fantastic Gallery-Lousy Customer Service We happened upon this gallery during our wanderings on Duval Street, and fell head over heels in love with the photographic art. The small pictures were priced to "buy 3-get one free," so we chose 4 10"x10" framed photos that we liked. They didn't have them all in the store, so we said we could pick them up the next day, before we left town. The salesman, Tom, said he couldn't have them by then, but could ship them. That seemed fine, until he quoted us a substantial shipping charge. We were not willing to pay the shipping, since we we able to take the photos with us and did not feel it was our responsibility to get them to us when they didn't have them in stock. It was a deal breaker. When Tom realized we were ready to leave empty-handed, he conceded the shipping costs, so we proceeded with the purchase. When I got home, I looked up the gallery online and discovered that with a purchase of three or more pictures, they routinely wave shipping fees. I was angry that Tom had tried to weedle out of their regular gallery shipping policy to gyp us. Two weeks later I had not received the photos, so e-mailed. Tom wrote back an apology, and said they would be shipped immediately and would arrive by the end of the week. The end of the week came, but photos didn't. I e-mailed again Saturday night, and Tom told me they'd been shipped Tuesday, so I should get them Monday or Tuesday. Twice I asked for his method of shipping and a tracking number, to which I received no response either time. I did receive the photos on Monday, and found that they had been shipped FedEx on Thursday. Tom lied and covered his negligence. I am happy with the photos, but the customer service at this gallery is severely lacking. I hope Tom had to pay for that 2-day ground out of his commission, not out of the artist's profits. I also hope that Jorge de la Torriente, the photo artist, reads this and becomes aware of what a slacker is representing him. I know I'm a small customer, but if one has a gallery open to the ambling tourists, this is his "bread and butter." I don't know if their service is any better when purchasing online. read more
