I had a few minutes to dive in, salivate over the shiny sweet treats and spot my hamkaas croissant to go. They were very pleasant and friendly staff and heated my little breakfast in their big professional oven for me very quickly and it seemed quite grand when they pulled it out after heating. The ham cheese croissant was perfect. Quite big but not too big, a good balance of ham and cheese but not too greasy to eat on-the-go and I'm now feeling satisfied and ready for my day! This is a charming little village outside of Amstelveen outside of Amsterdam. Delicious pastries, coffee, and other deserts. So lekker! I can only imagine (as a fantasy) how awesome this place would be with no restrictions. It is on a beautiful canal and the Amstel. The downside is there is no bike parking out front, but on the plus side, a historic cemetery across the street. You can't park your bike against that fence, but people still do. Certainly worth a visit when in the area...no competition - but they deliver with a smile and a great value!

Anyways, Laromme has a wide variety of croissant-like filled puff pastries (both savory and sweet). The sweet are more croissant-like, the savory more puff pastry-like. This time we ordered the famous red velvet cake, New York cheese cake, lemon meringue cake and a full chocolate cupcakes (forgot the exact name). It was all so yummy and filling. You can easily share a red velvet cake with a friend. The staff is friendly. It is a nice place to sit. However it can be cold. Everytime when the door opens the cold comes in. It would be nice to have a curtain in front of the door so the cold won't come in. But overall we had a good experience at Drie Graefjes. When you're in the neighbourhood you should definitely stop bu and have cake. You can't reserve so come early, especially on a Saturday.
