This scent stayed with me, and as I woke up, the first thought that invaded my mind--and maybe my stomach--was the aroma of fresh bread . So, early in the morning, I rushed over and tried a little bit of everything. Everything I had was incredibly fresh and delicious. Highly recommend! We had an assortment of traditional Dutch breakfast items (hot cocoa, bread, cheese, cookies, etc.) in the dining room, where we were told about the cool history of Hartog's. We then moved on to the bakery where we bought a loaf of whole wheat for a couple of dollars that we devoured in less than 2 days. We loved that this place took us slightly away from the touristy areas. Highly recommended if you want to see a more side of the City.
