Juan Bautista de Anza Park is an absolute lifesaver for letting the kids burn off some energy! The best part is that there are two separate playgrounds, which is super convenient so the areas don't get too overcrowded. One section is perfect for older, more adventurous climbers, while the other is great for the little ones just starting to explore. The park is spacious and nice and shady, with plenty of picnic tables to hang out at. Whether you're bringing the kids to run around or just meeting up with friends for a relaxing afternoon, it's a really great spot. read more

There is poop everywhere at this park now. The management is not taking responsibility for it. I called 5 times in 2 weeks about a giant poop next to the toddler area by the butterfly garden. It took two weeks for them to remove it. How disrespectful to their own park and own butterfly garden that the fellows are working so hard on. Now that summer camp is starting, the park is probably going to be completely trashed. If you walk down to the trail, there's a garbage pile of compost and eggshells, avocado seeds, plastic scattered all over the trees. The unleashed dogs are a problem and i have to go in the office to tell them to speak with the dog owners. Its only a matter of time before something bad happens w the unleashed dogs. Im extremely disappointed in the new staff here. read more

Maybe we came here at a bad time? Arrived here on a Saturday afternoon in summer and our group got spooked after playing in the play area for a while due to so many gnats, bugs, mosquitos, etc. flying around the first playground area! It made us scared to open our mouths and accidentally swallow bugs. Seems like there was something about the playground that attracted so many bugs flying around the entire area. On the bright side, saw several lady bugs so that was interesting. But on the other, there were bugs I've never seen before and it for sure freaked out the rest of us since they were in our faces. We wanted to go check out the bathroom (saw none) and saw that the building looked like it hasn't been touched in many months (there was a sign that said SPLASH PAD *CLOSURE OFFLINE SUMMER 2024 // and a REOPENING IN SUMMER 2025) so that explains the abandoned/no-maintainence feeling of the park. Ontop of that, there were signs of caution for rattlesnakes in the area so if you have a fear of the following: snakes, spiders, mosquitos, bugs, I'd advise not to come here when it's summer time. (Maybe it's better in other seasons) Hopefully the environment of the park gets tended to. Til now, I don't feel like coming back due to the experience. read more

Clean, shady, never too busy. Bathrooms are great and we'll stocked. Small parking lot but usually find parking. Nice equipment including some big snack heads in the sand pits, a smaller enclosed toddler area, a nice cake rock climbing area with other kid climbing equipment, lots of swings, an older kid play area, nice roller hockey rink. Love the great shady trails and big grassy hills kids and adults can run and play on and gorgeous shady oak trees to picnic under. Will continue to visit this park! read more

Great place to play pickleball. Friendly staff, clean restrooms. Good parking. Lights stay on well into the night.

Cute playground, beautiful setting, love that you can then walk up to the trails that lead to such breathtaking mountain views. We had a great time playing on the playground, using the swings, and then taking a gorgeous hike, then ending up back at the playground where we began. Great park. Attended the Calabasas pumpkin festival here today. Loved the free parking. There was also the option to take the shuttle to get to the park if you wished to do so as well; helpful for those with little ones. $5 entry per person...very reasonable. It's been a few years since I've attended this festival and this year it kinda sucked. We were done with it in less than 2 hours. There used to be a ferris wheel , a rock climbing thing and a mobile aquarium before; now all there was were jumpers and the usual carnival games. My child was kinda bummed. The vendors were great but other than that...there wasn't much to the place. Oh the DJ was good too. *The bathrooms were kinda gross...no bueno. read more

I grew up around the corner, coming here daily when it first opened. Now its a great outdoor and indoor venue for kids birthday parties. They also have a hockey rink, used almost once daily for hockey games in a league made for all ages. Call the city for fees and info. read more

A beautiful park that has almost everything! It's located in a wealthy and safe neighborhood of Calabasas. The community center in the middle of the park is multi-purpose/multi-function. Private parties can be arranged at the center and has private kitchen and restroom. Indoor hockey court is well built and the kids' play ground on the opposite side is quite nice also. Group picnic area is located in the back with an outdoor grill. Parking area is accessible but on weekends and when there's a private party going on, then it may be full. You may need to park your car on the street. Running course and trails are also available on the side of the park. The big wide open grass area way in the back of the park can be used as a football or soccer field. My favorite part of this park is the landscape! The park itself sits right at the foot of Malibu Canyon hills and you may walk all the way up to the hills for the panoramic view of town (Please look at the picture I posted to get better understandings of what I am saying). Like I said, this park has almost everything! But no swimming pool though. If there's a swimming pool at the De Anza park, then it completes everything. Nothing lacking but perfect utopian park that everyone dreams about. Yup! The city of CALABASAS has it all. read more

what a treat this park is!! we were house shopping 2 weekends ago and decided to pull over to let the kids burn off some back seat energy. I'm so happy we did. This park has 3 separate play areas for different age groups all with coverage from the blazing sun. It has has a cute splash pad to help cool things down at just the right hours. Cool place and great court but .... Sisteron back that there is always the roller hockey baby played which takes up the entire court. It's pretty much a downer because there are at least six basketball hoops to play with. The roller hockey is usually just two people taking up way too much space and ruining it all for everyone else. They should have regulations against it. read more

We love this park! Great for little toddlers (swings, separated playground, sandbox, splashpad during summer) and also great for adults as it joins up to Malibu Creek State Park hiking trails. Lots of covered picnic benches and green grass. All of our friends from the valley comment on how nice and clean it is. Facilities are great. read more

Probably a good place to bring kids to play on a swingset but not a great place to have a picnic. Despite the fact that Calabasas is fairly affluent, they have taken horrible care of their lawn and instead of green grass everything is just brown and depressing. read more

Came here for a kids birthday party and everything was great. A quiet, clean and private park that is accessible to all. Amazing! What a phenomenal place to throw a birthday at. They even have a recreation room you can rent out. read more
