4 stars for discounts, customer service, security, and inventory. The ONLY issues with any dds Discounts are the customers. The employees are constantly going around the store during the day cleaning up after the customers that leave baskets full of clothes in the isles; the customers that let their kids play with and open the boxes of toys and leave them laying around; the customers that go through the clothes and pick out each hanger, don't put them back or let them fall to the floor on purpose. Customers are rude to each other too: just keeping their baskets angled in an isle when others are trying to get through. It's really sad to see people have respectable shopping etiquette in stores by none exist here. read more

Awful experience last night we came around 9:40 They close at 1030 One employee asked my mom if she was almost done 10 min before closing ....I get it I've worked retail before too It's your job...don't be rude and lose your customers Anyway I bought a fanny pack We got a total of 11 items and when we got home me and my mom noticed we only had 10 items My Fanny pack was missing (I'm leaving on a trip this weekend) So I call and the tell me to come in with the receipt and that they'll rewind cameras Some husky guy took my receipt comes back about 20 minutes later and goes no you didn't even buy it I played back the tape twice .... LIAR!!!! So disappointed but now I rather drive to any other DD's but this one . Customer is always right but If I could give you 0 stars I would recommend management to hire better staff I'm in disbelief honestly wow read more

0 stars if that was an option on the new manager named Julia my son decided to try on a shirt by the shirt isle instead of the dressing room since it was closer and it was just a shirt an employee came in from the back stating "If you guys like you can try on your shirt in the dressing room" but since he was already trying on the shirt we decided to stay there as they didn't tell us we were not able to try those on outside the dressing room we proceeded looking at clothes and another employee comes up while we were going through the isles looking through the clothes being extremely rude telling my son "this is the third time we have told you to go to the dressing room I will literally ask you to leave NOW" in his face almost yelling at him pointing her finger in his face in front of all the other customers she didn't realize I was standing on the other side watching and hearing everything so I spoke up and said excuse me that's my son and he was not asked three times and he's also not trying on anything else at the moment they let us know if we wanted to we could use the dressing room not that we were required to and she said well I'm telling you now and she walked away I would like to speak to her supervisor or her manager as soon as possible I have never been so embarrassed and disrespected by a manager when I was paying I asked the cashier what that employees name was because she kept laughing with other employees discussing what had just happened and how she had told us she'd make us leave the store and she said that's Julia our manager.... Literally standing in a long line for 20 minutes with 1 cashier. That is fine; however, watching four other employees (including management) standing and watching was beyond irritating. The store is very unorganized as well. Just when I thought a store couldn't be worse than Ross. I won't be back. Get it in gear and help speed up service and make the store look presentable. read more

This is my favorite store ever! I pretty much only shop here! I love everything about this store especially the bargains. One time I had brought my 6 year old son with me and unfortunately he had an accident on the floor. I was SO embarrassed. I was going to purchase some markers and when I found some the box of markers was missing almost half of them and the box was broken and there was no other like it. After going to the register the girl working it rudely said that I would only get 10% off and I said so it would be $5 dollars and she said it would only take a few cents off which makes no sense seeing as the product was missing half of it then she proceeded to say well it is all ready a discount store trying to justify the fact that the product was missing half the markers. read more

The manager decline to give me a cash refund on a 3.99 magnetic phone holder even when I told her the item was not usable because one of the steel plates was missing the self stick on adhesive. The item is difective. I called the 800 number the manager gave me and was told it was the store policy not to refund cash nor credit a credit card even if the item is broken. I told her that's fraud for chargeing for a difective product. Plan to report this to consumer protection agency. read more

The worst customer service! Perfume I had purchased, stunk. It smelled as though it had been affected by heat. No where on the receipt does it say you cannot return the perfume. No where on the receipt does it say if it was opened you cannot return it. I had opened it, sprayed then decided something wasn't right about it all with in an hour. So I hadn't been gone long. It wasn't months, days or weeks since the purchase. It was an hour, early in the day about 11 am. The employee felt the need to call a supervisor and they both acted as though I was doing something wrong. It was $15, for goodness sakes. Not too much to ask for. Ridiculous situation, not to mention a waste of time. Ultimately they gave me the refund and said they can't do it any more, I laughed said I had never done it before and if that's the case they have to post a sign by the perfumes approved by corporate and it also should be written in their policy behind the receipt. They confiscated my bag when I walked in the door and wouldn't let me have it until I got to the register to pay for something. They were very rude and strict about their changing rooms. If you got time to kill, like A LOT of time oh and money to spend then come here for cheap prices and somewhat okay quality items. I spent nearly 2 hours in here just trying to look for activewear clothing. You really have to search for what you want. The aisles are really small, fit for one person and a cart. The whole store is messy with clothes on the floor, shoes are all over the floor and different sizes in the wrong section. You're only allowed 5 items in the fitting room. There are no cash return policy is horrible. I drove to 5 DD's and couldn't find anything that I wanted. Now I'm stuck with a store credit card that I can't use. I returned a suitcase and wanted to go to Ross or Burlington to buy another but they will not return my cash. Very horrible policy. read more

Holy crap this place is a dump, I've been in thrift stores cleaner. I ran in to find some cheap shoes for a wedding. I didn't feel like digging through piles of shoes that were on the floor. I even tired looking for a dress shirt for my husband. The aisle are so small that it really should be a safety issue. On my 20 minute visit I had 3 (three) different women asking me if I wanted to buy (Mary Kay, Tupperware and Herbalife.) I find it rude and annoying that, that is allowed in the store. read more

I only come here to get a great deal in Medical Scrubs, other than that I'd rather avoid this place as much as possible. Not only is it messy, but the customer service here is terrible! I prepared myself ahead of time by having my ATM in hand because with my past experience, they practically rush you through checkout. I was in shock when the lady at the register yelled at us (waiting in line) and said, "If you want quick check out service, take the hangers off your clothes and hang them on the rack in the isle". I immediately thought, what kind of customer service is that? Then to make matters worse, when I approached checkout the cashier says, "go ahead and swipe your card" before she even rang up my items! I'm sorry but no one should have to swipe their card and punch in their pin before knowing their total! There's no knowledge of customer service in this place or respect of privacy or personal space. i was there last night about 7-8pm after work to purchase a large picture and was greeted by a worker who seemed unhappy or irritated to have to say welcome to d&ds, egnoring that i stood in a line which kept getting longer and longer. they only had 1 cashier while another employee was just fixing hangers in front of her completely ignoring the line. i asked if they could call another cashier because the poor girl was taking so long and i could see she was getting frustrated. i called out again for another cashier and i was ignored they would not even look up at the line. finally another co worker comes from the shoes dept and starts chatting with the girl doing the hangers and the one at the door just walked past us with a crappy attitude. still no one helps out untill finaly they finished chatting and laughing. then when i was called to the register the girl was like a broken record told me to go to the side grab my reicept and she called the next person. i felt as if i was no even eknowledged as a customer or even a person~~ i will never go back read more
