The service i received from them was outstanding!! They made me feel like family. When I first walked in the furniture section of the Backstage Dept., looking for assistance in purchasing an item, I encountered one guy that told me politely, sorry he's on break, then I met Erik, that seemed like he was already busy doing something BUT ERIK STOPPED AND ASKED ME IF I NEEDED HELP! Erik proceeded to help me, even went and got the supervisor, Tracey, to further assist me!!! Erik went on to finish what he was previously doing but would return to check on me. Erik left me in the hands of a wonderful PATIENT COMPASSIONATE AND UNDERSTANDING human, TRACEY!! I explained to her everything that I was looking for and she went to searching for me and adding numbers to help me make the best decision!! We spent hours, Lord bless them both!!! I met with Genavieve in person to ensure that measurements were taken correctly and that there would be no misunderstandings in my expectations. Unfortunately, after multiple delays which she claimed was related to shipping delays from her manufacturer what I received at the fitting was far from what was promised -- the dress looked cheap-(dollar store rhinestones glued on a fluffy mess of uneven tulle), rushed, and bore little resemblance to what we had discussed. It was not wearable and so bad that she acknowledged it was not what I had ordered and I was assured it was a mistake and that it would be corrected in time. However, after multiple delays and broken promises, I was told -- just four days before the event -- that the dress could not be delivered at all. This left me completely without an outfit for the wedding. What's most frustrating is not just the poor quality, but the lack of accountability and professionalism. When I told her I would be traveling an hour with two little kids to come to her store and asked her if the dress was ready for the fitting she delayed multiple times then had the nerve to tell me yes when she knew it was not salvageable. She even told me it was beautiful but wouldn't send a picture when I requested multiple times. If I had been told earlier that the dress wouldn't be ready, I could have made other arrangements. Instead, I was strung along and left scrambling at the last minute. I would not recommend this service or doing business with any of her brands to anyone looking for reliability, quality, or basic professionalism. Proceed with caution.

While shopping found my way to the second floor to the new Macy's Backstage area and was able to get a pretty good discount, after all this is going to be a gift. I had never heard of Macy's Backsage and the girl that rang up my purchase said "Macy's Backstage, it's an "off-price" (aka discount) concept that sells clothes, housewares, shoes, cosmetics, and other goods at discount prices." Being that Macy's at the Fall's Mall always looks like it's two clicks from going out of business, it seems they are doing the right thing in trying to find or redefine themselves in the South Miami are. Service was excellent and price was good!
