This review is long overdue. Dr. Blaine and his team did everything and then some to help my 79-year old mother, Mary, to get a comfortable set of new dentures. Dr. Blaine personally did everything in his power, multiple multiple times to get mom the comfortable fit without pain when I didn't think it was possible. Dr. Blaine made it clear her satisfaction and comfort was number one and he personally worked very hard to alleviate her pain and get a comfortable fit. Having just completed a disastrous kitchen remodel with a known big box company that refused to take responsibility and get things done right, I am beyond impressed and owe a debt of gratitude to Dr. Blaine. He was entirely committed to my mom getting comfortable dentures. Dental care is critical to something even more than aesthetics. It is vital to getting proper nutrition. The detailed work it takes is critical. I watched Dr. Blaine and his staff work at mom's comfort over and over until it was right. Dr. Blaine is not a faceless owner/manager who manages his practice from afar, he is active and available in his practices. He is also in the commercial. He made his personal email available in reviews. If that doesn't tell you how serious he is about quality, comfort and satisfaction, I don't know what will. I would also like to mention Ms. Ashley. She is wonderful. She handles so many roles with dedication. Always professional and polite despite us being very difficult and needing more time to come to a solution. I had this dentist install 2 implants, lower molars 1 on each side. They did good with 1 molar but failed on the second one. The tooth they used was too small but they installed it anyway. I complained about the tooth packing with food every time I ate anything. Because it was too small, food filled the gaps on both sides every time. It looks like a child's tooth in my mouth. They refused to do anything about it. I have to go to another dentist to have this corrected. You know the old saying you get what you pay for, it applies here. Then I requested a crown to be placed on 1 of my upper molar's which was giving me some discomfort. This dentist identified this chipped molar prior to me, keep this in mind. The dentist refused to place a crown on the molar unless I pay for teeth cleaning first, my teeth are pearl white. They just wanted to make more money. The cleaning was a scam as far as I'm concerned. This outfit needs to be reported for its poor business practices, and refusing medical attention to a tooth in need. In a nutshell, this is a 50/50 dentist at best. They just want your money, this is not quality dentistry. You get what you pay for, poor quality and service. read more

Before having my extractions and implant post put in I asked about the placement of the post and if we could push them back for their in my mouth so that my feet didn't rock when eating like my boyfriend's do. She acted annoyed, went and got the manager. The manager stood over me in a very aggressive way, within 3 to 5 inches of my face yelling at me for questioning the dental plan and 'demanding' that the post be placed in a certain way and said that I was creating problems. After trying to say, I was not 'demanding' I just know the issues other people have with the placement and wants to ask if there is a better way. The more I questioned the got more aggressive and loud he became, which made me cry. It seemed to make him angrier that I was that upset and he was louder and more aggressive and I felt intimidated and attack. I went to the restroom and called my boyfriend told him what was happening and he told me it was my body my right and I could leave. We talked about options and I decided to try to get this done without any more issues. So when I went back to the dental chair I said okay before I agree with the dental plan I want to talk to the dentist first. He refused to let me talk to Dr. Robinson and told me that they would not be treating me. I said after being a patient with them for10 +years, many recommendations to many family and friends who have used them, Your going to attack me and act like this, your right, you will not be treating me. I Left. I was so upset that I could not drive. I sat in the parking lot for 30 minutes crying trying to just pull myself together enough to get home. I wish they had a zero star. I've had a major infection in my lower implant bridge and the Kyle office where I initially got it done refused to see me bc Dr. Esparza is now in Georgetown!!! They absolutely refused to see me. I then made an appointment in Georgetown for Friday and when I called to confirm it they told me I wasn't on the schedule!!! Then their receptionist hung up on me. I have to tell the truth about this visit. I was deeply humiliated at this appointment. This dentist was younger than my children and instead of giving me options for a treatment plan she opted for pulling all of my teeth. And let me say I am only missing a few teeth and that includes wisdom. So when she said this with the most unprofessional look on her face I was shocked. The good thing that came out of this is a call from the area manager. He was quite nice and had a pleasant attitude. Look, dentist have always tried to save teeth. I would love to say that I never had this experience but I would be lying! Not everyone is going to want their teeth pulled and dentures and implants put in! But in this case they just refused to hear me and I tried I tried two times in fact. I have never been more serious about a review than this one. I am compelled now to see that they never treat anyone else like this. Or may they never take advantaged patients. Their are so many ways to fix teeth. All a facility has to do is have that desire to do that. In the meantime I have gone to two other dentist in Austin and received quotes on a partial. Then a separate quote a permanent solution for later. People the manager couldn't even call me without arguing. That's sad and he had to throw in a dig too about how bad my teeth are. Proceed with caution at DDS. I recommend you record all conversations with staff, especially with office personnel. Prices fluctuated over 60% w/in 6 months. Then was quoted one price, and when checking out it was 3 times as much! After reminding them of the initial quote (and "checking with the manager") they came back around. Reminds me of a deceitful car dealership. I was quite uncomfortable dealing with staff and "dental assistants". This is a "chain" operation working in mostly southern states. Their other websites have different prices. They will get what the market will bear. Do not send elderly people there without someone to run interference for them. This Clinic is now called "Affordable implants and Dentures" and is outstanding--no charge for lots of x-rays, which they gladly emailed me so that I could get additional work and quotes for the same work, They will match other dentists I was told and save 10% beyond that even. Dr. Anand Adatia is a totally compassionate. super honest, knowledgeable dentist. Recommended excellent alternatives to me that did not concern his clinic's services and spotted that I had a root canal that needed to be re-treated (which I was totally unaware of.) Helped me by analyzing my bite and how my short roots would affect any veneers or implants I might get. Took lots of time with me for no charge! Their deep cleaning was cheaper than other places fyi. read more

I went there for help and an estimate for entire one half of my upper jaw for new teeth. I wanted implants and a bridge. They tried to talk me into taking care of the other side too and when they found out I was not inclined to do so, they pawned me off onto their competition. Maybe they don't like self-pay, too, perhaps. They gave me two referrals since my money was not good enough. They said the screws would have to go in diagonally since the height was not quite there. I NEVER give reviews on Yelp but this place impressed me so much! From the moment you walk in you're greeted by a professional staff and a top of the line clean office. I was hesitant to have Porcelain Veneers done but something needed to be done about the stains left by my braces years ago. Blaine soon calmed my nerves and was able to work with me on making it affordable. After having 6 veneers done I could not be happier with the work! I've been in several times for cleanings and evaluations on possible wisdom teeth removal. They are fast, efficient and friendly! Read the fine print. They DO provide affordable services compared to traditional dentist offices and r quick. However, we returned a week later because my mom felt her plate looked too thin in areas and thick in others..they assured us that is normal. 5 months later her plate/base broke in half. Our "7 year warrantee" covers the teeth only, not the plate or base. Not sure that's a warrantee at all. I realize they provide an affordable service and can't replace everything. I just don't like the misrepresentation of the warrantee, especially to the elderly. read more

People are very very nice ...they have been very helpful with my transition...i was just in on Thursday 6/21/2018 and had a procedure done...I call to get an adjustment made on my teeth because I am in so much pain and am told they can't get me in for 3 days...I'm very upset and my mouth hurts...i am blistering from my teeth because they weren't smoothed out before I left they day I was in...they were rough and jagged...I'm shocked they sent me out like that and then I can't get in to get it fixed...I can't even talk or move my mouth...I really like the people there but what happened to taking care of the patient... read more

Worst place ever. Went in for an implant and came out with a partially numb month which will be permanent. A first I heard it would go away after a couple of weeks, then it was a couple of months, then I heard "I hope you're not my first one to have that permanently. Not a good feeling. They also had to remake my crown because the first one they put in didn't even match my other teeth. It was twice the size. And you know they billed me for the one they had to replace. I was not paying them until they gave me the crown I was being billed for and they had the nerve to have an attorney write a letter to me demanding payment. Payment for something I didn't even have. I had several implants and a bridge put in and DDS worked out the plan and stuck to the pricing and schedule they promised from the beginning. This place is awful! I went in for a consultation. The dentist spent about 5 to 10 minutes with me then left. The girl taking care of me was very rude and disrespectful to me. When I didn't understand something I asked a question and she gave me a hateful and UGLY look and treated me very badly!!!! Do not go here if you want to be treated like a person! If you want to have a pleasant experience, wish to be treated with dignity & respect, and want to get what you pay for... DO NOT go to this place. It'll be a complete waste of time and money!! Pleasant customer service, positive customer experience & honest business practices are NOT things this place is interested in providing. They won't even attempt to live up to the obligations required of them in their own contract... a contract you'll be required to sign before you've even been seen by anyone for anything. They will then take your money, and in exchange, you will have poorly & improperly constructed products which contain clearly visible and obvious defects forced upon you. While forcing the poorly & improperly constructed products upon you, these "professionals" will either (a) promise the poorly & improperly constructed products will be fixed at a later date, or (b) claim the clearly visible and obvious defects do not exist, and will refuse to do anything at all in order to correct those defects. The level of incompetence demonstrated by the "prodessionals" at this business is astounding. An attempted discussion with the loudest, most rude, arrogant and condescending person I've ever had the misfortune of being forced to deal with (who was identified to me as a "Manager") resulted in the Manager blaming me for the poor and improper construction of the products forced upon me. This Manager was interested only in attempting to pull me into an argument, and did everything he could to embarrass & shame me in front of all the other employees... AND all the other patients/customers present at that time. So much for privacy!! Upon returning home with the poorly and improperly constructed products which were forced upon me, additional defects came to my attention. I discovered 4 units had been completely omitted from the products, and that the warranty had not been honored (a chipped tooth was neither repaired nor was it replaced). I then attempted to discuss these issues with the Manager. In response, the Manager did nothing but make invalid excuses for the incompetence of the "professionals" employed by this business. Upon finally acknowledging the products forced upon me were poorly and improperly constructed, the Manager agreed (in writing) to refund the FULL amount of my purchase price. The Manager then refused to honor his written agreement and attempted to keep $500 to which he was not entitled. I advised him the amount he claimed I paid was erroneous. In an effort to support his erroneous claim, the Manager knowingly, willfully and intentionally presented to me documentation he knew was inaccurate. Despite this fact, however, the Manager continued to maintain I was charged and paid the lesser amount. There are only two possibilities for the discrepancy... either (a) the Manager knowingly and intentionally committed fraud by providing documentation he knew was erroneous, or (b) other employees knowingly & intentionally committed fraud by charging, and collecting from me, an amount in excess of the actual purchase price. I still have not been provided with the refund I was told I would receive... the refund to which I am entitled... leaving me with no alternative but to incur additional expense by initiating a lawsuit for the breach of contract, deceptive practices and fraud committed by this place and it's employees. I have had discussions with several other people who had experiences similar to mine, so I am definitely not an anomaly or an exception... this is how they routinely conduct business. I went in asking for a partial denture repair and rude assistant was very hostile towards me saying repair could not be done however dentist said the repair could be done. I witnessed Spanish speaking customers get treated unfairly . When I picked up my repair it wasn't done correctly so I had to wait for the repair to get my money's worth. I am posting on the behalf of my mother. She is a senior citizen who lives on social security and required dental work to be done so that she could keep her teeth. When she went in, they extracted three of her teeth, and they put in a temporary to have her mouth prepped for a later time for a bridge and crowns. In the same day, the temporary broke in half three times. She went back to DDS and had them put it back in all three times, with the same result. After the third time, she went to another dentist who installed it and has kept this tooth for over a month. In this time, she has paid $1600, and just received another bill for $1200 after only receiving the extraction. Avoid this company like the plague. They will nickle and dime you until you have no teeth left in your mouth, and a have been required to file bankruptcy. read more

my mother paid in cash multiple grand to have dentures made for the second time by this company and flew out from michigan to have them done because she loved her first set so much. they did not properly fit the dentures the second time and had her pay for a second round of flights and hotel rooms to look at them, apologized to her and then absolutely refused to fix them or refund her and take the set back. you jerks had my mother saving for a year to pay for these and then took advantage of her and refuse to take responsibility for not properly doing your job. do not come here, do not let these people take your hard earned money and give you useless sets of dentures. this office is full of heartless souless, unprofessional, nontrained employees, go anywhere but here please! they do not value longterm customers or how they make them feel. read more

Went in November of last year to have my teeth extracted and full set of dentures. It is now end of June the following year and am still unable to have proper fitting dentures. Can't say they didn't try, but can say they don't know what they're doing. You'd think by now I'd be able to enjoy biting foods again without my top dentures falling loose or without my lower dentures, which I have 2 implants to keep in place, wouldn't rock. The tech said "Oh, there will be some rocking" WHAT???? I paid all this extra money for 2 implants to secure the lower dentures but "there will be some rocking"? I don't think so. They even switched out the implants to lowest ones and guess what....they rock. Then the top dentures won't suction in to stay in place. After the dentist looked at it numerous times he finally said "Well, you have a shallow pallet" WHAT???? Then why did you pull the teeth if I had a shallow pallet that wouldn't hold a top denture? Stating this afterwards is not acceptable, not by a professional dentist who should have noticed to begin with. Using denture adhesive for the rest of my life? Nightmare. I can go on about the lack of communication. I had to ASK about everything. Techs go along like little robots without explaining anything to you. Nobody wears name tags, don't know their names. I am not at all pleased at the service at DDS. You would think they could make a pair of dentures that fit your mouth. Mine wobble, hurt the sides of my gums. One side is thick and hits my cheekbone and has made a rough spot callous like. I have been 3 times for adjustments and still my mouth hurts. I have made 2 appointments to meet with Dr. Amy and each time they take me in the back, put me in a chair and ask me what the problem is. I want to speak to Dr. Amy. She is on break-well why did I make an appt then and why am I here. Not professional at all. But the girls in front are nice and friendly. Went in for back molar extraction. Dentist removed molar and little did I know but she broke part of my back jaw bone. Couldn't get anyone on the phone the week of the Thanksgiving week not even the weekend after the holiday. Was left in agonizing pain. They offer no after hour number or emergency contact here. Ended up in another Dentist office that Saturday with major oral surgery to fix what Dentist and DDS broke. Place is awful and need reviewed by Dental board. read more

My tooth was bleeding and aching and the "Dr." gave me nothing for pain. This naturally alarmed me, so I asked if there was something wrong. The response I was given was that their policy is not to give pain medication until after the surgery. This is not what I came and paid money to a dentist for, so I am writing about my experience to help others in pain, and warn them not to waist their time hurting in this dentist's office because you will get no relief. I went down the street to another dentist office, Castle Dental, who was charging half the fee, and got the treatment I needed. I am now getting my tooth pulled in a matter of days.
