    I honestly don't really write reviews for much on yelp but this company really is just TERRIBLE…read more Avoid at all cost. If you ever get into any auto accidents, pray the driver is not insured by this so called company. I have encountered this company twice. Once in 2016 because my car got hit and it took literally months for me to hound them. In the end, my insurance was able to determine that they're completely at fault so I had to use my insurance to fix my damages while my insurance continues to work with American transit to get the money. Fast forward in 2019, my foot was rolled over by a taxi. (I KNOW. SO UNFORTUNATE!!!!). I am constantly receiving mail from American transit about missing no-fault claim application which I have sent. When I try to call, I am always left on hold for what seems to be about 30min at times to even an hour! I was able to finally get ahold of someone but she puts me on hold again. Then I am told that the system is down and to call back later ... This is ridiculous. It shouldnt be this hard to contact a company that's so wildly used. How could they keep their business running?!

Also, they will only pay you 50% of what your damage is if the other driver fails to submit any paperwork. Not their problem they say. Don't bother asking for a manager. They are never in. Rude staff hang up on you mid sentence. (Abby)

    I filled out an online application for a home and auto bundle just to see what a new plan would…read morelook like because if you don't look, you won't know whether you are going to get a better plan and better pricing or not. I have never worked with State Farm before but they have emtertaining commercials and they are supposed to have the best customer support of all insurance companies. I plugged in the same information to 7 other locations just to see the comps. 20 minutes, nothing to lose. The next day, I got a call from a young man named Johandri (Jay). I asked Jay a ton of questions about the proposals they gave me and not only was he extremely knowledgeable, but he was polite, professional, and sounded extremely passionate about the company he represented and he was proud to be working there. You can also tell that he was there to serve his clients and he would do whatever it takes to provide the support they were looking for even if it took a little longer to get it done. When I think about great customer support, this is what you would hope/ expect to receive. I can practically see Jake from State Farm dressed in his red sweatshirt and nicely pressed khaki pants speaking to me. I ended up signing a policy with him and I will be sending friends and family to him in the future without a doubt. Jay has a bright future ahead of him and I have no doubt he will be successful wherever his path takes him. If you are looking for a good agent with great coverage and good pricing, ask for Jay(ke).
