We hired him for a bunch of projects throughout our house, adding light fixtures, fixing drywall, painting, and putting up a barn door. Jason completed them... very poorly. When he came to fix and texture the drywall he brought one of his buddies who was hungover and kept telling us as much, and his work product reflects that as well. When it came time for the "big project" the barn door Jason made the process as difficult as possible. Firstly when everything arrived he didn't bother to open the box and see what hardware was included and what may be needed for the install. Then he did the initial install and blamed the parts for being bad. After a lot of back and forth with him and the company we decided to go a different route and purchase the main rail ourselves and have Jason fit it. The project that was supposed to take a few hours ended up taking days with Jason continually making excuses and blaming the product instead of taking accountability. At one point even saying to me "I'm not redoing this rail, we should just cut the door." A $3,000.00 custom door?!? Yeah no we're not cutting that. So he had to come back and redo everything again, this time chipping and damaging our barndoor and making the soft close in operable. By this point I had enough of his services so we paid him and were done with it. While he did offer to come help fix the scratches and gouges he made on the door, it was done so in a rude manner at one point even being extremely misogynistic towards my wife, needless to say we simply do not trust him to ever set foot in our house again. You're better off paying the extra money and going with someone that is actually licensed, bonded and insured. Learn from our mistakes and save yourself the time, money and headache.

Bob Dobel is experienced and completely knowledgeable as to drainage solutions that will work. Bob explained the process from the ground up. He has a team of workers who have been with him for years, and they were very hard working, courteous and enthusiastic. The worksite was always tidied up at the end of the day. Then, I asked Bob Dobel if he could create a hobby room under my garage where there was a storage area -- a space that was barely 5' high, such that I could not even stand up in it. Dobel executed this project with a fabulous result, beyond my wildest dreams. They dug out a lot of dirt, and poured a concrete floor, supports, and steps; and they installed a full-sized door into the room, 2 big windows, electricity, water, and drainage. Each time I go into my new 'art studio', I am thrilled that they turned wasted space into a usable room. The space has a wonderful 'vibe' -- everyone who sees this room is complimentary.

(They did beautiful work, especially the concrete and flag stone.). I called today as my primary sump pump did not activate. ( The back up pump they had also installed was working fine.). They had someone out here the same day. Turns out the primary and back up pump each had a different power source, which I didn't know. Cal-Pac is amazing, the quality of work is outstanding and their expertise is unmatched…read more We've worked with them for a while; they were one of the few roofing companies we reached out to that were willing to do repairs (on a roof they didn't build). They replaced an old skylight, removed our old chimney, and added a gutter to the back. We were really happy with the quality of the work and the price. When it came time to do a full roof replacement, they were the first place we called. And to be honest, they weren't the cheapest but we still went with them given our prior experience and the fact they would handle re-mounting our solar system directly. We worked mostly with Brian and Earl, both great guys and incredibly experienced. We had a lot of dry rot issues on our joists and their carpenter did a fantastic job (photos attached). The roof came out better than expected, it looks so clean and makes the entire house look better. We were also impressed with their thorough cleanup of the site each day, the attention to detail (even caulking around the replaced joists for us), and going the extra mile to replace a ceiling panel that was damaged when the old roof was torn off. They do most things by phone and don't use any fancy appointment systems, but if you want a roof done the right way by the most experienced people, Cal-Pac is the one you want.
