Woollards were a recommended repairer by my insurance company, AAMI. I chose them because of this,…read morethinking my car would be in good hands.
My well looked after car had incurred front and rear damage, as a result of a collision. Although the damage was not too severe, I knew it would take some time to complete the repairs... but not as long as it ended up taking.
I dropped my car off to them and waited to hear from them, after them telling my it should only take 4 days, a week maximum. It took FIVE weeks!! For the duration of which I had no contact front Woollards, I had to keep calling the insurance company, which sometimes took upwards of an hour, to find out what was happening with my car.. "waiting on parts" was the main excuse, (which I can empathise with, but not for 5 weeks) but several others were used.
After a long, frustrating wait, I was able to pick my car up. It was absolutely filthy, but I was ecstatic! But not for long....
I got it home and washed, and saw what they'd done.. my car had scratches, dents, scuffed paint work, crooked panels, even big black hand prints on the interior hood lining! And it STUNK! Oh my god. I was crushed. It took them 5 weeks to do this? I called the insurance company again, fuming. They advised me to write down and take photos of all the damage incurred during "repairs". I then confronted Woollards with the list and car.
Luke (manager?) seemed genuinely apologetic and embarrassed of his employees work, and told me he could have it fixed in 2-3 days. I was apprehensive, but I thought "they can fix their mistakes, they've been paid for this work" and so I dropped it off to him.
It took ANOTHER 2 WEEKS to get a call that my car was ready. My partner went to pick it up, it was slightly dark outside and so I couldn't see it in the light until the following day. I was shocked... they'd managed to poorly fix some of their mistakes, but somehow these idiots had created more damage! I just couldn't believe what I was seeing! They had the car for 7 weeks all together and didn't complete the work, created more damage, and staff couldn't care less. During this time a traumatic family even occurred, and I'd chosen to deal with that rather than the ongoing headache of Woollards and their incompetence. Luke was a really nice guy, or just good at acting, but that's the only reason this review got 2 stars instead of one.
I would NEVER recommend Woollards to anybody!!
