I am going to start with the best, genuine, caring, trustworthy and the list goes on and on, think of every good word and I am happy to put my name to it.
Barry and Sue or Sue and Barry, does not matter the same goes.
We were stranded in Numurkah on a Sunday 18/11/24. with a flat battery and a busted alternator.
I had roadside assist with APIA and thought I would be sorted, however to my misfortune Apia said I should find my own preferred repairer they would then tow my vehicle to that place. I asked at the local supermarket and was recommended Country Auto Services, just to be sure I asked 2 more locals on the road and both recommended Country Auto Service.
As soon as I called up Apia and gave them my preferred repairer. Barry was on site in about 15 mins and immediately started trying to diagnose the issue battery / alternator or both. turned out my alternator had a bad bearing, so the vehicle was towed to his workshop.
Barry was very professional and explained to me my options and told me that he would order the new alternator first thing Monday and that It would be delivered Monday aby 11 am and he would have me on my way by 12 30 back to Melbourne.
Turned out that the delivery would only come by 3 pm, just so that me and the family would not be put through any inconvenience barry went personally and collected the alternator from Cobrum a good 30 mins away from his work shop. Barry had my car ready by 1200. half an hour ahead of schedule. I was sure I was going to have to a huge bill given the quick turn around and weekend work but ended up paying just 950$ for a full alternator assembly and new battery along with Labour.
Did not think such good souls existed in this world.
