I was greeted at the door by friendly security, who welcomed me after hearing it was my first time at Dazed. Didn't exactly appreciate him following so closely behind me, but it was late and I understand there's strange people about these hours as well. Their pink-neon aesthetic stretches far into their main floor, decorated with flora and warm, vibey lighting. I went to one of the many kiosks lined along the wall, each embedded with an easy-to-navigate system showcasing their stock with detailed descriptions. I didn't find my brand (Off Hours), but fingers crossed they'll consider stocking it soon! Deciding to browse around, there were multiple shelves of clean displays, highlighting local brands and new products in an interesting manner. Overall, the interior was well kept, and had comfy seats littered about the store! Wish I sat down in their cute waiting area in the front, but I was in a bit of a hurry home. Grace was able to assist me in finding an adequate substitute for the strain I was looking for, providing multiple types of options, noting their effects, and within my price range. Her product knowledge eased my nerves of trying a new shop, on top of her kind and understanding demeanor as I fumbled through recently-learned terminology. Although I ended up spending more than I originally planned to, the pre-roll Grace recommended is one I'd definitely get again! Gabbie has helped me and my friends a lot, from showing new products on the market to a vape that knocks your socks off your own feet. It's a different vibe than most dispensaries. But with how the state has been shutting down so many other stores, it's good to know Dazed won't be pushed out with how up to date and professional they stay. After Housing works cannabis co. did me dirty too many times, i decided to give Daze a try. Omggg! The ladies working at the counter were so super nice. They DO NOT accept Apple Pay btw. The lady behind the counter assisted me in placing an online order so I didn't have to walk out empty handed. Not a huge fan of the music blasting as I wait on line but it may have been annoying because this was after work on a Friday and I was over life. If you're looking for a dispensary run by professionals who value customer service, I recommend avoiding Dazed. Instead, take a short walk across Union Square Park and visit **The Travel Agency** on Broadway and 13th. I've attempted to shop at Dazed five times, and four of those visits ended with me leaving empty-handed. On one occasion, they ran out of the strain I ordered, which is understandable. However, on two separate visits, the wait time was excessively long--over 20 minutes passed, and the line only moved by four or five people. They seem to be consistently understaffed. Most recently, I visited after placing an online order. After checking in with security, I headed to the designated preorder line, as directed by signage and staff. However, when I reached the budtender, I was told that there was no separate preorder line and that I had been given "wrong information." Frustrated by the lack of organization, I left. Customer service is key in retail, and it's clear Dazed hasn't mastered it. I'll give them 2 stars for their product selection, but if service matters to you, there are better options nearby. read more

This Dazed location always has a great selection to choose from with staff that knows every product. We go in asking for recommendations and they are always able to pull up our previous purchases and make recommendations based on what we have liked. Gabi who works there knows so much about every farm and strain, and is highly educated on the marijuana laws. She gave us so many options to choose from when we were last there, and she was budget conscious as well as informative about what she was showing us. We appreciate that in a budtender. I think this place as an idea is innovative but their business practices in the middle of the heart of NYC is of 2001. They don't allow tapping, they don't allow credit card payments. There's a good selection, but some of it isn't as on par with other states in terms in quality. The staff is friendly but range from mildly helpful to aggravating. I had to correct the other girl that she grabbed the wrong strain it was a good thing I noticed. Also in trying to get info on strain effects they are not knowledgeable, I have to use Leafly to check everything. I've been going here for several months now. yesterday I went for a $7 preroll, which after tax I was told would come out to around $9 they gave me $2.09 back from their fee, but on my bank statement I was charged $12.50 plus $2.50 for a non bank ATM fee (charged by my bank even though I paid with my debit card). I began checking my other transactions, the last time I'd been in I got two $7 and ended up being charged $22.50 plus the $2.50 ATM fee and I also paid with my debit card. not sure why the prices are so inconsistent, and why the mark up is so high or why they are charging me $3-6 more than the total they are telling me at the counter. This place is so badly run. Almost everytime I place an order they do t have half the stuff when I get to the register to pick it up. One time they could not find my order in their computer (they could see I placed it just could not see the items). Today when I went I saw they institute of a separate line for pre-orders we have waiting on that line. I realized it was much much faster to just go in the regular line because that line moves so slow slowly. I always try to buy elsewhere but live close by to them. This was literally my second time in this place and my last. I went earlier during the week and had a great experience which led me to come back and support. I walked towards the back and looked at the screens toward the far end of the store. Which was the exact thing I did my first time visiting. While I was looking at the options the associate which the elder lady with ginger curly hair which was at the register at the time cashing someone out turns and tells me "sir there's a line" which I responded " I was just looking at the menu". When it finally decided I turned to get on the line and it there was a scattered of people no one knew where the line was. I headed towards the middle of the store where I stood to observe where this line started and how to get on. The same associate shocked "next on line.. next on line" which no one responded or moved towards her to be assisted. I started to approach the counter but 2 ladies were waiting to and I asked if they were ahead. They told me they were still undecided and to go ahead of them, so I proceeded to approach the counter. I said " Hi again "and smiled. She said " how can I help?" And as I was about to respond she walked away to go speak to another associate. Like as I was getting my words out,she just walked away.I stood there puzzled and just in disbelief and a bit embarrassed because I felt targeted for the wrong reason.
