I do feel like the cost to benefit ratio is worth it - especially for a family membership.

I can't say enough good things about the Daycare. At (TWG) educating the children is very important. They start from the Infant Stage on up! They work on Colors, Shapes, ABC's, Gross Motor Skills, you name it and they apply it into your child's everyday activities. Your child gets a daily sheet, letting you know what they did, ate, how long they napped, they even recorded diaper changes!! They have a few different playgrounds, as well as an indoor Gross Motor Room. This way the kids can all play, but it's never "Big Kids with Little Kids" They run a very structured schedule and somehow keep all the kids on a great routine. They have a photographer come in at the beginning of every year and take pictures of all the kids and you can buy packages. They also take the kids on field trips (with your permission obviously) and go to pumpkin farms etc. Like I said before, I can't say enough about TWG!! I've read some of the other reviews about the Owners caring about money etc???? First of all, show me someone who owns their own business and DOESN'T care about the money! Money is what keeps their business running, food in their kid's mouths, and their bills paid. They have the same concerns as every other "RESPONSIBLE ADULT IN THE WORLD" The prices are comparable if not better than other daycare centers. PLUS it includes Breakfast, Lunch and 2 Snacks/Drinks daily! Please don't let this "Bitter ex-employee" who wrote one review, get in your head about this place, being anything but GREAT!! I toured the DayCare with the owner and when I asked the owner if I could speak to some current parents to hear their experiences first hand, the owner promptly reached out after we finished the tour and had 2 current parents call me. They both had extremely positive things to say about the DayCare and staff. I also had a friend of a friend who had a child that went here and they also said it was a really nice place. Ultimately I chose different DayCare which was more spacious but also more costly, so you'll need to weigh the options and make your decision according to your preferences/budget. Overall, I think this DayCare, Together we grow, is a great option and I feel it's good to give credit where credit is due and that's why I am writing this review.

The owner and all of the employees were fantastic and treated myself, my wife, my children, and everyone I ever saw them in contact with with the utmost respect. In fact, we started with Teddy Time in 2005 and I am still friends with the owners and two of the employees that worked there with my children and see them on a weekly basis. They work with the kids and there is always some learning activities disguised as games or some other fun interaction. They don't "watch" the children like some daycares. They spend time with them. Not sure why someone who is not a parent or legal guardian (like a fiancé) would write a bad review simply because a business owner did not disclose information to them that they were not entitled to receive. That's basic NYS disclosure law. And am I reading this correctly...this same person is complaining that this business did not accept an admittedly forged document? To me, that's protecting the child, so that just makes this business even better. The other bad review that starts with "I don't usually write bad reviews", is how someone who only writes bad reviews starts a review. I couldn't believe anything after that point. My kids were happy and healthy and they loved it there. My daughter, who is 12 now, still loves to visit. Bottom line, this is an awesome daycare. If I had more children, they would all be going to Teddy Time. Thank you for all of the great work you did while my children spent time with you.

We have been on the wait list for this daycare since about May 2015. Our little one was due to…read morearrive in November 2015. Then in October 2015 we were told there might be a spot opening up in May 2016. Then in April 2016 we were told there was one more family ahead of us that might take the May spot. If they do then the next spot would be opening up in July 2016. In April 2016 we took a tour of the center, met with teachers and had a meeting with the director. We were informed that the other family would take the spot and the next available spot is in July for us. Months go by and after inquiring yet again about the spot, we received a reply in August 2016 that there is still no spot available for our child. Earlier this week (April 2017) we sent another email inquiring about the spot we thought was open for us in July, as we were told there was only one family ahead of us, and the director of the center let us know that there was never a spot promised to us and definitely not a full time spot for our child. Now that our child is almost 18 months old we would have to wait for an open spot for a completely different room. We kindly asked to be removed from the wait list as we have found a daycare for our child where the center staff is compassionate and actually cares about their children and don't pick and choose children as they please, and lie to their patrons. Long story short, don't hold your breath trying to get a spot at Shining Stars Daycare. I would highly recommend contacting the staff at the Gingerbread House. Everyone that works there is amazing and they were voted best daycare in Syracuse.
