This place is mediocre, but most Days Inns are anyway. The breakfast is standard, waffle makers, breakfast pastries, cold boiled eggs, sub-standard coffee.
Every time I exit or enter the building, the women at the desk always stare at you. It's really awkward and uncomfortable; they don't smile to you, they don't say hello, they just stare at you. Maybe I have an unknown third eyeball or something. There is an immense lack of hospitality. The housekeepers are polite and pleasant that I've seen, but these women need to take a lesson in social etiquette or something, especially if you're representing a well-known company.
Our refrigerator went out during our time here. Unfortunately the night before we bought $100 worth of food, which is now mostly spoiled. (Travel for work for extensive periods.) The girls at the front would not give us another refrigerator and did not offer any other solution, perhaps moving rooms? This all happened after the maintenance man left one evening. In the end, we had the coax the girl at the front desk to switch out fridges and they did.
By the way, don't ever think about entering the breakfast nook after breakfast hours, without permission, for some utensils. It's a cardinal sin in this place! You're not allowed to use that microwave, you have to use the one behind the desk and they have to do it for you.
It's pretty absurd, but if you're on vacation, you won't stay inside the hotel anyway right? So in that case it may not be so bad; they DO have a water slide! The wifi is pretty good; the rooms are mildly smelly too. read more
