The owner is completely, and shockingly rude, so I sell insurance I had spoke to the owner of Daylight Donuts he told me to come back in 2 weeks. while on my lunch break I proceeded to go a completely different donut shop to get some donut holes. I wasnt aware that he owned both businesses and instead of hearing me out in order for me to get the thing I was going in to get he yelled at me to leave and said "I told you to come back in 2 weeks if my wishes aren't going to be respected you wont be allowed back". I was in utter disbelief as just this morning he was as nice as could be. Fair Warning I'm not from Valdosta. I will not be coming back to get anything from him. read more

Workers prepare everything with their hands when customers aren't in store they don't use gloves and haggle employees about using to many gloves when you can just use your hands . Working here will make you be sure not to eat anyone's food you don't know who made it . NO SANITARY buckets or rags , hands are used to clean bowls instead of spoons read more

We bought a variety dozen. The purchase was quick, courteous and professional. It may have been the fact that I have been dieting but the smell of these were heavenly. At first bite, these were obviously very fresh and the raspberry filling quite tasty. Not too sweet and just the right amount of tart. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 was because the glaze was just too thick and was still granular in texture. Even having said this, these donuts are well above average! read more

I was surprised to see them open on a Sunday at 3 p.m. on my trip to Publix to get something sweet for dessert later tonight. They were Very busy. No signs about masks or distancing when entering. Two groups ahead of me in line, then two came in behind me. More than half without masks. The young lady behind the counter was serving without a mask or gloves. None of the flavors advertised for coffee were available according to the server. Only the flavored creamer. Saw a review in March 2019 that said no flavors were available... still not fixed? When asked, the server said they didn't have to wear any PPE to serve and prepare food. read more

I eat too many of these!! The girls live seeing that yellow box in the break room. Best fritter I have ever had. Pine cones are the bomb, try one. Old fashioned is probably my favorite normal shaped donut. Many different flavors and colors and tastes but all are delicious!! Daylight owners are actively involved in the community and help sponsor just about everything I have been involved with from donating time, money, or donuts. I love local businesses that give back to the community that supports them. If sweets not your thing you have to try their sausage rolls!! But hurry they go fast in the mornings :) read more

Gooooood morning. All I can say is YUMMMMMMMMMMMY!!!!!! I stopped by here yesterday to grab a donut and I was happy that I did. Even though it was late in the evening, the donuts were still super fresh! I had a simple glazed yeast ring and it just melted in my mouth!! Customer service was outstanding. I was super pleased!! I'm not a huge doughnut fan, but it's occasional treat. That said, I grew up with Dunkin' Donuts with its great variety and then moved south to find Krispy Kreme (which after eating you're either in heaven or anaphylactic shock from the sugar rush), which I found boring. Having neither choice in my new home of Valdosta, I tried the local king, Daylight Donuts. From an outsider's perspective, I'd say that it's a poor man's imitation of Dunkin. As another reviewer noted, you'll get your sweet tooth satisfied, but it's delivered in a mostly mundane package. I read on the box that the company began in 1954, and it certainly tastes like it. The "old South" is famous for its fatty, salted, and/or sugar-loaded food. This is par for the course. Also, it should be noted that the small parking lot is a nightmare in the morning. read more

I just discovered Daylight Donuts three weeks ago and I thought it was very good my last two times. However, I made the mistake today to stop before going to work at 7:45 ish. A pregnant lady took my order and after having attentive fast service the first two times, I realized it was taking a moment, and I noticed she had stopped and was talking to another customer. So now I am staring in the window, which she then starts getting my order again. Now, I did request a dozen in separate baags for other people at work. When the other lady came to the window I added two more donuts. So, the pregnant lady that took my order, hands my order to the other later to give me, and I paid for my order. When I got to work, my order was not what I had asked for. Everyone else took it in stide after a lot of switching around. So, on my break at 11:00 ish, I called and explained that my order was wrong and the lady that answered was defensive, like my order was really confusing, so it was to be expected, but, I could return the donuts and get a refund. I explained that I was not calling to get a refund as the donuts were pretty much gone. A simple, I'm sorry would have been fine, but I feel they were rude and did not care that my order was wrong. So, fortunately, one of the girls whose order was wrong, told me how much she likes Dixie Creams and I will do business there now. Now, to be fair, the first two previous times were on the weekend, and those girls were awesome!! I really thought I found a good donut place. read more

I went to Daylight Donuts on Inner Perimter Rd, and they have horrible customer service. The workers rush you and their donuts are not fresh unless you go there when they open :( I took a bite out of one of their donuts and it was stale and hard. My gosh, I've never tasted a more horrible donut. I got a refund and will not return. :(. Do not waste your money. Try somewhere else. read more
