This was my first experience selling a home and it proved to be very disappointing. Suzanne and…read moreher associate, Gretchen, walked through and the red flags were immediate. As we were walking through Suzanne asked, "is it yours to sell?" I thought how odd a question. I couldnt help but wonder does she ask all her clients that question? She also stated she would take a 5.5 % sellers commission instead of the customary 6%. I didn't think much of it until a few weeks after signing the listing agreement that she indeed was charging 6% and not the 5.5% she had promised. During the initial meeting she said she wouldn't be putting her agency sign outside because more and more homeowners were making that choice for privacy. I thought it sounded a little odd but this being my first time selling a home I didn't question it. None the less the second it sold there was a sign planted in the front yard. I had just purchased a new Samsung washer and dryer a few months prior and I had them listed as an exclusion in the sale, however I was forced to leave them when I moved. Unfortunately the refrigerator had a maintenance issue while the condo was listed and I could have spent $200 and had it repaired and all would have been good but again was forced to give the buyer a $2500 credit. Gretchen is nothing more than a bully and a thug and will say or do anything without any consideration for honesty to get what she wants. She accepted a low ball offer without consulting me and set up 2 closings, a closing for me alone and another for the buyers so we wouldn't meet, how insulting. While taking care of some final touchups before an open house one of Suzannes employees was lending a hand and started talking about Trump's stolen election and she couldn't understand why we couldn't agree with her. My friend found it so disturbing and unprofessional he left. If you see Powers Realty Group coming, turn around and run.

We wish we had chosen Powers first. They handled our sale with professionalism, expertise, and extensive experience in unique selling circumstances. This allowed them to complete the sale when larger real estate firms couldn't. This speaks to their network of support partners and excellent professional relationship with them. From our first meeting with Suzanne and Gretchen, we were so impressed with their preparation and attention to detail. Both Suzanne and Gretchen arrived at our home with face masks and were very serious about the new showing and realtor protocols with COVID19. They maintained this same level of diligence and customer focus to all aspects of our sale. Gretchen and Suzanne exhibited expert knowledge and problem solving skills when faced with all phases of the sale and any challenges as they arose. They kept us informed and presented solutions while working collaboratively with us throughout our sale's progression. They were always available and responded promptly to us. Abbey was integral in the smooth execution of all the tasks during the sale. She was also a delight to deal with. Powers Realty Group presents itself as a boutique broker. They are the epitome of this label. They are right sized, specialized and the perfect balance of exceptional customer service and expert knowledge base. They shine throughout the range of real estate possibilities, from niche property sales to traditional properties. Our only regret is that we did not call Powers Realty Group sooner for our sale. Thank you Suzanne, Gretchen and the team for a job well done. We are very grateful.

We were targeting Whitefish Bay or Wauwatosa for our next home. We reached out to Jay, and he immediately set us searching for homes that met our criteria. We have a crazy schedule with managing a new job, moving a long distance, and having 2 kids under 6 at home. Jay and his team always worked around our schedule. They were responsive via email, text and phone calls at all hours. The market is really hot, and they were able to get us into newly posted homes quickly, and we were able to compete on every home we were interested in. They're a highly experienced team, and you NEED that support in this hot market. Everything we needed was written and submitted immediately. There were never any delays. Within a few weeks we found and purchased our dream home. We could not be happier. We will only use Jay Schmidt and team for any future real estate needs.

This was a big deal because I used this group remotely from out of state to sell my property in Wauwatosa. Their mobile apps make it very easy to see and schedule showings and you get great, timely feedback on the showings as well. The group treats you with respect and I am very lucky to have been able to use them to sell this property. Definitely recommend!

I would not rent through this landlord/company. We (my roommate and I) rented from them for a year…read moreand it went well since neither my roommate nor I were around much. Pretty much was a place to store our stuff. We renewed the lease and they had upped the rent which is normal. They decided to make a kitchen update that we did not ask for and this was to be done while we lived there so our kitchen was down for a month. Not only was our kitchen down but our whole living room since everything was pushed up against the walls and covered in plastic to avoid dust or anything else. We were told that the workers would be working while we were gone at work and on several occasions they were still there for hours after we got home. All in all the kitchen was nice to have after it was done but no compromises or deal was made that since they would have our kitchen torn up for a month and that we would have to eat out more that they would take a hundred off rent or something. Next after a year of living there black mold was growing heavily in the bathroom since there was a wooden window in the shower that didn't open and there was no vent either. We had put in several work orders for it and nothing was being done. After 2 months of being told a new window is being ordered I called more sternly and it apparently never got ordered. Finally, after three months they replaced the window and pretty sure just painted over the mold. The new window allowed for us to open a small portion and get air flow. That helped with the mold problem but it was always an ongoing thing. We would scrub with bleach and other cleaning supplies but still it would come back. Either way I had gone to the Doctor earlier that year for headaches, dizziness and sneezing...turns out it was Sinusitis. This can come from dirty or moldy environments (Our bathroom). I was treated for this with antibiotics and having moved am better and don't get this off and on like I use to. Lastly my roommate and I got new jobs and significant others and asked if we could work with them to move out earlier than our lease. They seemed fine at first then they flipped a switch. They would show the apartment and not even contact me to tell me they would be entering. They found someone to rent the apartment for June 1st and we would be out April 30th. They told me it was all good to move out April 30th but now are telling me after I moved out that May rent is due and that I can move back in if I want for that month. Even though they are doing more updates ripping up the flooring and such then the next tenant wanted to move in a week or two early since that would help her get into this new apartment and out of her old they are stating they are taking all of the security deposit and its because rent is due. Having said they would work with us and everything was falling into place we thought everything was fine. Except now they stated we need to pay for all of May rent and to keep the electric on for them (while they work). Chelsea in the office is horrible at communicating and will play games like only contacting one tenant. She never contacted me until she wanted to inform me that May rent is now due but never for any other updates. In the entire time we lived there we never were late on rent and kept the apartment in great shape and were polite to them. They are money hungry and are very rude to the younger crowd. As far as we know they are taking are full security deposits even though they should only be taking $400.00 for a fee for ending our lease early. Office staff does not know what they are doing and the owner Joel will side with it since its more money he can have to update his properties.Take my advice stay away and rent through another company. I am just glad to be done with them. I have lived in Milwaukee for 8+ years and this is by far the worst landlord I have had.
