For the price, Woodmere is a great value in a beautiful town. We were particularly happy with the management of Woodmere Townhomes. They seemed to always be available when needed. They were always very tactful. They never gossiped any of our neighbors or anything like that. Holly and Don are the consummate professionals.
Woodmere Townhomes is an older complex, so yes, there are a lot of maintenance challenges. Their maintenance personnel are especially responsive and very pleasant to work with. When the handle to our sliding glass patio doors broke off, the response was prompt. When our pipes froze (only for a day and a half) in 2018, the response was also immediate. It was a cold snap and a few apartments had frozen pipes for our washer and drier. Maintenance wasn't able to unfreeze the pipes, but they tried. A day later, water was moving again and we could do our laundry. Management and maintenance people followed up to ensure that everything was okay. What more could a person expect?
The design of the individual apartments is very nice: our apartment looks much larger than it really is. The entry overlooks the living room: I thought it was pretty. We had sliding glass doors to a small porch. We had about 27 different species of birds and a herd of 9 deer that visited regularly.
There are amenities I would like (such as walk-in closets, etc.), but you can't beat Woodmere Townhomes for value. My husband and I always felt safe in and around our apartment. The apartment complex tends to be quiet. People work during the day, come home, grab their mail, and go into their apartments. Very rarely do we have any interactions with our neighbors. With the dreadful coronavirus keeping more people home, the parking lot has become a social gathering place! It's pretty fun seeing our neighbors outside sitting in the lawn chairs and soaking up the sun.
Yes, you could find comparable apartments for less, but not in Cedarburg. You could find apartment complexes with more amenities, but then they would cost more. Woodmere Townhomes is pretty sweet for the price. read more
