I know they will prepare her for kindergarten. I just hope whatever kindergarten she goes to is ready for the level she'll be at so that she doesn't regress. If you're searching for a learning center that's positive, clean, loving, and actually teaches your child, I recommend you take a tour and see for yourself. You will be amazed! I toured Heaven Sent Early Education Center (HSEC) in July 2025. During that tour, I was explicitly…read moretold that children must be 100% potty trained. This policy did not raise concerns for our family, as our four-year-old son had been fully potty trained for over a year prior to enrollment. He is also accustomed to age-appropriate responsibilities at home and demonstrated the independence and readiness we believed necessary for school. We enrolled our son in September 2025. This was his first school experience. Like many children born during the pandemic, he had primarily been cared for by family and required time to adjust to a structured classroom environment. Beginning school is a significant life transition, and for some children, that adjustment can temporarily trigger potty-training regression. That was the case for our son, who began having accidents during the two-hour classroom nap period. I proactively asked his teacher to prompt him to use the bathroom before nap time. I was informed that staff are not allowed to ask children to go to the bathroom, a rule that was never disclosed in the potty-training policy or during enrollment. This restriction feels developmentally inappropriate for three- and four-year-olds and creates a predictable setup for failure. In my experience--as both a parent and someone familiar with early childhood education--scheduled bathroom breaks are standard practice, even for kindergarten-aged children. Despite this challenge, our son continued to excel socially and academically. However, we began receiving warning emails regarding potential contract termination, which created significant stress for our family. We later learned that multiple families received similar warnings and expressed fear and frustration regarding the lack of clarity and support. Ultimately, our contract was terminated immediately before the holidays, leaving us scrambling to secure alternative childcare. This occurred after we had already paid substantial upfront costs, including a $250 nonrefundable administration fee, uniforms, school supplies, and required shoes. When I requested my son's workbooks--materials that should reasonably be covered by the administration fee--I was denied. Leaving this review is not something I do lightly, especially regarding a Black-owned business. How-ever, I feel a responsibility to share our experience so other families can make fully informed decisions. Many families are already operating at capacity, and this level of confusion, rigidity, and lack of transparency feels unnecessary and, frankly, predatory. As a community--and especially as Black women--we must do better. Our toddlers are human beings not liabilities or line items. Families deserve compassion, clarity, and developmentally appropriate support. My son is a person, not a number.

I was very disappointed in how the touring based on open enrollment process worked. Heaven sent…read moreleft a bad taste of how I view their organization and communication. It was clearly a sign that this location was not a good fit for my family and not a "heaven sent". Their website allows you to book tours in the morning only and have various dates on their website when you can tour the school. In addition you can only tour a class if you child is already that age which is lame as by the time they are that age the class maybe full. None the less, I called to confirm their availability before I scheduled a tour as I and my spouse took off for the tour. In addition, they highly recommend to bring the child with you. Tours are at 9am, 10am and 11am. I had mines scheduled and later received what appeared to be a broadcast email to all scheduled tours to schedule a date sooner as spaces were filling quickly. I immediately called and was informed my tour should be fine as the classes that were filling up were those of children not potty trained and since mines was potty trained I should be fine; WRONG. I showed up with my family and they had no record of my tour nor were they able to accommodate me for a tour as it was just the receptionist and one other person there. In addition, the receptionist made a call (I believe to the owner asking if she informed me I could come even though the tours were cancelled). I was very disappointed in how all was handled and made it clear that Heaven sent was not the right school. This was disappointing but a sign that this place aint it. Get your enrollment and touring process ironed out Heaven Sent! The ONE star is for the mirrored glass doors that was locked on the outside and a speaker button to enter. Which by the way I was let in after the receptionist shouted inside "Its open!". Overall this process was a whole mess and a waste of time. In the end, im glad it didnt work out as I can only imagine how all is with other processes.

We've been at South County PreK Co-Op for 3 years (2 kids) after numerous recommendations from…read morefriends. We LOVE it. Can't say enough good things about this program. Our teachers have been together teaching for 24 years, they teach your children for every year they are in the program (great continuity) and are incredibly loving, calm and fun. The curriculum does a great job preparing them for kindergarten while allowing them to learn through play. Since it is a Co-op preschool parents are active in their child's education and have opportunities to influence school policy, participate in the classroom and make their own friends. They do a lot of science experiments, at least one if not 2-3 art projects per class, journal writing (older classes), songs and dancing and more. I've made amazing friends as a parent at the school as have my kids. Oh and did I mention its one of the most affordable schools in the area with tuition as low as $100/month? Worth a visit (they regularly have open houses). We drive 30 minutes to get there and feel its worth the time and effort. Far surpasses the schools closer to us.

Each child brings their own lunch or you pay additional 25 weekly for them to provide. Weird that all these childcare places charge you real prices 275 weekly but don't include anything but a snack! So once you pack the lunch in a labeled lunchbox only for them to remove EVERYTHING once they enter class. It's placed in 3 bins marked, lunch, snack, juice. The issue was I wasn't writing my child's name on the items that were put in the labeled lunchbox. Who knew they were taking everything out and putting in bins. So after my babies lunch was ate, ( because she had no clue what I packed) I spoke to her teacher about it. I've made the adjustment but I think it's creating chaos that isn't needed. Luckily my baby will leave in June and we won't have to worry about it. Her teacher is nice, the students are sweet, staff is friendly.
