Upon arrival they were waiting for us, Houston was taken back and prepped for pain and euthanasia medicine. I have one small complaint, my dog was within minutes of dying. I felt like payment had to go thru first..before we were moved to the euthanasia room. Business is Business..i was also emotional so this is subjective.. the doctor was amazing and very compassionate he explained every step of what this procedure entails. They gave us ample amount of time with Houston after his passing. I picked up Houstons remains less than a week later. Again very compassionate. Today I received a sympathy card in the mail from blue pearl. Not being from CR and needing an emergency vet .. Im glad I trusted them with my my best friend and our family needs. *blanket not included * just a pic of Houston!

My…read morecurrent vet recommended a dedicated dermatologist, which was quite far - almost 2 hours from us. We drove there and got a estimate - $4,000 to put my dog under, take 4 skin samples. We could only take my dog there one day a week, it was their procedure day, so I would have to take a day off work (unpaid, I am a contractor). This place was already giving me the ick a bit because it was so crazy expensive and they were kinda condescending when we talked to them, but my vet pushed for it. They suggested she might have alopecia and also some bacterial thing, and they could give us something for the bacterial thing, but we need the procedure to find out for sure. Note: they didn't ever give us anything for the bacterial thing. $205 for that already questionable service should have been read flag #2. The day of, we get there, and they decide that my dog is too excited, having a hard time breathing, and they refused to work on her. To be clear, I don't have a problem with them making that call if they felt they could not work on her safely, but they kept (again, kinda condescendingly) explaining how bulldog breathing worked. Yes, I am aware - and so should you have been! You saw her once already! The suggested they could give us some medication to calm her down and we could bring her back. Why didn't they suggest this before we came the first time? Again, this was her second visit. I wound up just leaving - there were no other alternatives really offered. I missed a day of work and lost hundreds of dollars of pay plus $40 in gas to accomplish literally nothing. I do not recommend.

Emergency Room Specific First off I want to say that the…read morestaff working on the day of our visit were so kind and this is not a mark against them. I came here last month and found out I was miscarrying our very wanted child. While here we of course signed an entire books worth of forms while in distress because, you know, I was having a miscarriage. One of these things was a No Surprise Billing form. A billing person explained it to us and told us that we could only be charged a max of $XXX after insurance for our visit because the hospital was transparent with its charges. We signed because the number given was one I could handle, barely. However, today I received a bill for almost 3 times the amount I was given on the No Surprise Billing form. We of course call the hospital confused and were transferred to physicians billing where we were told that the physicians billing is NOT AFFECTED by the No Surprise Billing and can basically charge whatever they want. We expressed our frustration about this because nowhere in the explanation of the No Surprise Billing was it ever told to us that the physicians billing was not part of it. We were told that one of the first forms we signed (among the many) mentioned that physicians billing is separate from facility billing. Ok, but why was it not explained to us that it wasn't included in the No Surprise Billing? Yeah it's a separate bill but so is imaging and that IS included in the No Surprise Billing...so we are now left with a bill 3x the amount we expected, waiting on the bill from the facility that hopefully is the amount expected. That will bring our total to paying 4x the amount we were told. I went to the emergency room because I was losing my baby. And now I have to deal with paying a bill that I feel is incredibly predatory. Basically, the No Surprise Billing form is a cover and the physicians can charge you whatever they want. Whatever amount they tell you at the time of treatment is pennies compared to what you will be charged after the fact. Also, no one answers your calls no matter what time of day you call. The front desk and front of house people are fantastic and answer right away but as soon as you are transferred to anyone else (patient advocate, billing, etc.) be prepared to get sent to voicemail and NEVER get a call back. Overall this has made a devastating experience even worse and I will NEVER go back. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU CAN AVOID IT.

Do not use ER you will be over charged for traveling docors, nurses( since they are out of network…read morebecause they are not local). This hospital will double charge you. You pay your bill, they cash the check, next week they start sending messages that you owe money. Call them and they have no record of receiving a check, send us copies of check from bank cashing it, do all they ask, next day someone else calls ,we don't have your proof can you send us info to different email, Well you cashed it somebody there has the money!! Keep records, receipts,if you call write down who you talked to ,the time of day and the date!!
