I told her nurse I knew she couldn't address all my concerns today, but I was hoping Lynette could help me figure it out. I was hoping to just get started. Maybe get some referrals. Lynette came into the room, and said she couldn't help me with everything, I made my appointment for my back. I said I completely understood, I would come back again. She the repeatedly said I needed to pick one. She only has 30 minutes. I said forget it and walked away. After reading her notes in my records she implied I was late. I was on time for my appointment and waited patiently in the waiting for 15 minutes.

Was proactive and helpful in guiding me to additional care that would be beneficial beyond a PCP. Her level of expertise and care met my needs. Unfortunately, I received the dreaded letter that she's leaving West Branch. If I could follow her to another location locally, I would! It's becoming a thing that PCP providers aren't sticking around. I had one for 25 years with Mercy. Dr. Loeb was amazing! She retired in 2019. The next one at Iowa City Family Practice was awesome and she left after a year to specialize in anemic patients in 2020. The third PCP with Mercy canceled our meet and greet due to illness and I wasn't able to schedule with her again, but with another in the office that I liked. However, she too left after a year. The fifth one was with Iowa Health (sadly Mercy was taken over) canceled after a nice meet and greet, due to family issues, and rescheduling was 4 months out?? I finally landed on Lynette! Was excited and looking forward to the level of care that I'd had with my first two doctors/PCP. Now I'm tasked with finding someone similar to Lynette Rice. It's becoming a game that I'm not interested in playing. Whoever lands with Lynette Rice will be fortunate! I hope I am able to painfully find someone similar to her. How that will happen, I do not know. It's Groundhog's Day over and over, paying copays just to meet with someone to see if you mesh well and then they leave. Wishing Lynette the best, wherever she went!!! She is terrific! Her staff is terrific as well. They all made me feel heard and seen, which is not learned in the medical field. You either have that niche or you don't. I will only go with someone who does.

We have the best healthcare in the USA right here in Iowa City, and at our age, this is the highest priority. We especially appreciate the blood drawing staff at the IRL Laboratory. They are the best anywhere in the UIHC system. We appreciate the main hospital staff who are willing to come to the clinics of IRL. A huge thank you to the entire IRL staff.

Not only that, but to live minutes away from this location is a Godsend-- as I do NOT have to go to the main hospital for them to get the care they need. (Eek, I get the heebie-jeebies just thinking about navigating the parking and elevators.) Additionally, there is free parking at the IRL location. The staff is friendly here. The doctors are top notch. The building itself is well maintained and updated. I love the art throughout, as well. Absolutely no complaints. The fam popped in for flu shots and COVID boosters a few weeks ago (which I conveniently booked online via My Chart) and we got in with a minimal wait. The nurse was wonderful. Going to the doctor isn't always painless-- but this location helps make it more so.

The care and assistant resulted in a complete refund from our trip insurance. The staff is stellar, friendly, always greeting her my name, patient, caring. I elected to have sedation because I'm extremely nervous and then to make me wait so he can do a consult is totally unacceptable. Will NOT be back as all they care about is making money.

I was really really anxious. I was straight back to a girl who showed me my insurance benefits and I made the payment. Then I walked back and looked over the beautiful pond. They were pretty efficient to get me right to sleep which I was thankful for. I woke up and they wheeled me to the car where my guest picked me up. I was thankful for their care and I was mostly pain free.

Imagine. It's Friday…read moreand you just slammed your work computer shut for the day. You're basking in pre-weekend bliss, about to enjoy a half hour of peace before picking up your kiddos and starting a jam packed Mother's Day weekend. You then receive a call from your kiddos' elementary school. DUN DUN DUNNNNNN. It's the school nurse. Your seven year old was running in PE class, was tripped by a classmate and gracefully broke his fall with his two front teeth. You're told to both call a dentist immediately and come get him. Well that went 0 to 100 REAL quick. You then contact your family dentist (not The Children's Dental Center) and they get him in within the hour. The next half hour involves bribes, restraints, screaming, kicking, hitting and tears. It is traumatizing for all involved, but especially the kiddo missing literally half of both of his front teeth. Nope-- that is not going to work-- a pediatric dentist is needed. We left with a list of referrals with a kiddo still sans front teeth. I called Dr Jenn on a Friday (they're closed) and left a desperate message on both the office's line and her emergency line. She got back to within 15 minutes saying since I was not a current patient she could not help immediately but gave me a plan of action in the mean time. I really appreciated that, even if I couldn't get in feeling heard eased my mind. Fast forward to Monday and her office called me by 8AM and had set up an appointment for 3:30PM that day. (I couldn't get into any other pediatric dentist that day-- or that week in some cases.) I didn't even know that dentist office lived there, just off 965 on Oakdale. What a nice location! We arrived and instantly were impressed the whimsical decor of the waiting room. The staff is INSANELY cheerful, knowledgeable and kind. We waiting a whopping five minutes and were taken to the room. Luke was so happy to find Bluey playing on the ceiling TV. Laughing gas was used (it smelled like oranges). Dr. Jenn was patient and really eased Luke's mind. We all left SO MUCH LESS TRAUMATIZED and, most importantly, with our teeth intact. Huzzah. (They were even able to use the broken off pieces for repair? Mind blowing.) Additionally, kids leave with a token to use for a prize machine. What a nice touch! They truly have thought of everything at The Children's Dental Center. I have to note: as you can imagine, something like rebuilding a majority of two front teeth isn't cheap. And while we have insurance, it is nice to be in the know prior to the procedure what exactly is being sent to Delta Dental. I did really appreciate being shown the charges before so there were no surprises. Thank you for that. I have a nine year old and a seven year old-- we have never used a pediatric dentist until now. I feel like we would have had SO much better experiences had we. The infinite patience shown by every staff member was mind blowing and the tricks they can pull of out their sleeves are endless compared to the average family dentist. I without a doubt recommend Dr Jenn and her team at The Children's Dental Center and Luke will continue going there until he can't!

Hello my husband has been in HOSPICE care at Harmony for 3 months now. I bring in our 20 yr cat in…read moreher bag on my lap in my wheelchair and the staff is very nice to me and let me have Smudges with me to see our guy. There so cool about it, the residents get a bit of a surprise out of her. She's so good and let's people pet her. I enjoy how they enjoy my emotional support animal, it helps me to. My guy is having trouble with the staff they don't wait for him to finish his restroom break they leave him in the bathroom and he can't walk anymore and no one answers the call lite from the bathroom so he's got to get himself back into his wheelchair and take himself back to his own bed. Which is a Huge thing for him to do, he's on oxygen level 4 and has stage 4 COPD with 20% lung capacity for oxygen in his lungs to supply his body with oxygen, so when he exerts himself his oxygen level drops down into the 60s. Cuz he overexerted himself. The staff is very nice and friendly and helpful and nice to me when I'm there for a visit with Smudges. I believe him when he tells me about the problems he's having with the staff and them not answering the call lites faster than he thinks they should, but he also told me that they aren't bringing him back his pain pills when he's asked for them either. So I don't understand how he's getting overlooked in these situations there. Isn't his needs important when he needs them? I'm a concerned Wife, Thank You, S.R.T.
