I ordered a Bacon Cheese Burger & received a perfectly medium cooked patty with a pile of tasty fries. The burger was seasoned well & cooked to perfection, I was quite pleased with the flavor & constitution of the entire thing. The textures of the soft bun with the crispy bacon & crunchy produce worked nicely with the grilled beef patty. The fries were also something to write home about. They were cooked to a beautiful golden crisp & salted generously. I washed the feast down with a couple mugs of a local tap beer called Karhu, it was a flavorful amber. Sports Academy only offers 5 beers on tap. But, a plethora of bottled beer is available. They also offer a decent selection of spirits for harder drinks. The venue could use a few more TV's considering it is a sports bar. The interior & bathrooms could use some updating. The bathroom was dingy & dirty. Head to the bar to place your order & be sure to grab utensils & condiments before returning to your table. The entire meal & drinks were a good value which was quite a surprise. I had read Finland was going to be the most expensive stop on my trip to Scandinavia & Russia. I would dine here again.

The atmosphere is slightly restless because of sport screens and tv's (I'm not a big fan of sports and tend to get hypnotized by moving pictures), but if you don't mind that, or even like sports (!) this is probably a nice, relatively calm and very civilized sports bar for you. This is not my favourite burger place on the world or even in Helsinki area, but it's definitely not the worst either.
