I talked to like 6 different firms, and what immediately drew me to Prestige was Nestor's professionalism and demeanor. He was easy to talk to, kind and very sharp. He wasn't pushy, and clearly explained the way in which he would approach my case. Up to that point, every firm I talked to was requiring me to sign lengthy service contracts filled with a lot of red flags and broad indemnity clauses. Nestor on the other hand was honest and up front, telling me he could take on my case for an extremely reasonable flat fee, and no ridiculous 10 page contract requiring a kidney as collateral. Several friends related their experiences of working with Jennie Bretschneider, owner of Davis Wills & Trusts. Based on those experiences, we decided to contact her. We were so pleased that Jennie took the time to carefully explain to us each of the important parts of the Trust. She asked astute questions that we had not thought about. She was patient and calm. I'm in Sacramento, as was the divorce, and he had no problem making all the court dates. He's a smart efficient guy. I've seen him in the Sac Bee a few times championing this cause or that - but I can't tell you about that. He's not cheap - but I think I get my money's worth from him. He's done our estate and some other things too. We like him. Here is what he says about his practice: "Family Law - I strive to resolve family law cases with the least emotional trauma to my clients and with the least expense. She sent the whole case to me for final review. I found several shortcomings and mentioned that to her in a written email. She responded that she would incorporate them, and she forgot to do that and submit the case without modification! After I hit some legal walls (as direct consequence of her negligence) I came back to her and seriously asked her why she forgot to submit the corrected forms. - First she dragged me over without answering, or making up lame quick responses. - After I showed her the details and attached all of our correspondence, instead of covering her negligence, she switched to another channel: "Now you can fill this secondary correction if you want and it costs you $XYZ". I think there was two consecutive unprofessional behavior, first submission of wrong case and second shift blame and lack of corrective action after a client hit a wall due to that mistake. ######################################################## THIS PART IS WRITTEN AFTER HER RESPONSE (In response to the comment of Ms. Shirine Pahlavan, below I was client of her office in Davis, and I paid her for summery dissolution, and I have the receipts of the check which was written to her and she cashed that! and I have my documents which were sent with her address and signature! and I post that as proof here!) This is a very solid proof of my write up above, she is not careful in her legal work and and even does not bother herself to do a simple search in her computer or email before typing her response to my Yelp comment.
