In May 2024, I went in for a revision and was told I would be contacted when my new trays arrived. I never received a call. About two months later, my husband followed up in person and was told they had not received anything for me. There was no proactive communication or effort to resolve the issue. Around that same time, I was quoted nearly $1,000 for a crown, even though my insurance indicated crowns were fully covered. I later learned this office is not a preferred provider, which explained the high out-of-pocket estimate. I ultimately switched to another dentist where my insurance is properly accepted and have since received routine care without issue. After that, the level of service noticeably declined. For months, I tried to schedule an appointment to complete my Invisalign revision, but was repeatedly told I had to see a specific dentist who is only available in the San Bernardino office once a month. Every appointment I scheduled over a three-month period was canceled. I was eventually offered a May appointment, but I will be out of the country at that time. I asked to be seen at another location and went to the Riverside office, clearly explaining that I was there only to complete my Invisalign revision. Despite this, I was repeatedly asked if I wanted a cleaning, encouraged to get a deep cleaning (which I do not need), and even told I should have my wisdom teeth removed--something no other dentist has ever recommended to me. It felt like constant upselling rather than patient care. After clarifying multiple times that I was only there for my Invisalign revision, I was then told it would cost $2,500 to restart the treatment plan. This directly contradicts what I was previously told by the San Bernardino office--that I had until November to complete my plan. Overall, this office demonstrates poor communication, inconsistent information, and a clear focus on upselling rather than patient care. I would not recommend them, especially if you are relying on insurance coverage or expect continuity in your treatment.

Sonia, the office manager, is so sweet and helpful. She was able to get me in for a same day appointment and also squeeze me in for an emergency tooth extraction at the end of the day because I was in so much pain. I will forever be grateful for that!! Alex is also amazing and takes the time to explain everything without feeling rushed. He assisted Dr. Kim with my surgery and they both made me feel so comfortable and at peace during the procedure because I was extremely nervous. It's been a couple weeks now and I couldn't be happier with the healing process. This office shows how much they care for their patients. I highly recommend them for any of your dental needs!

Be careful if you go here, I have seen other reviews with similar experiences as me and it seems…read morelike they try to give unnecessary and pricey treatments. I would definitely check with another dentist for a second opinion if you are skeptical of the treatments they try to scare you with. I came in as a new patient as my prior dentist is now out of network. I am young, never had problems with my teeth and just wanted to go for the biannual cleaning appointment. After they took my X-rays, I was moved to a small room then later moved again to a nicer room with tall windows (not sure why, maybe a first impression tactic). The male dentist told me I would need a deep cleaning treatment to remove plaque and lower my risk of gum disease (he pointed out 3 very small areas of it from my X-rays and asked if my gums bled easily, I said no, he proceeded to explain the risks of gum disease). At this point I have already been here for almost 3 hours, got nothing but X-rays done and needed to leave. He said the benefits coordinator will speak more about the treatment and we can reschedule. The benefits coordinator then showed me how much the treatment would cost, which turned out to be $577 out of pocket after insurance. I never had to pay for dental treatments and became skeptical, asked if it was needed or if I could just get the regular cleaning. He said it was needed and also offered financing options. I said I would think about it and they sent me off with the printed receipts for today and the future deep cleaning treatment. I looked more into the receipt at home and found a few odd things. Some of the codes used did not match my insurance page. For example, codes D4999 and D1206 should be covered by my insurance but the receipt still charged some under the patient. I also found codes D1110 and D1120 on my insurance page that was related to plaque removal and cleaning ($0 out of pocket) but were not used or found among the other codes in the receipt. Total estimated fee was $1,478 where insurance would pay $373.40 and my out of pocket was $577.60. There is a discount of $527 that they stated to give me, however if you do the math it seems like the discount went to insurance: $1478 - $577.60 = $900.40 (how much is left after my out of pocket) - $527 = $373.40 (how much insurance is paying after subtracting the discount). My insurance plan should be covering 80% and I 20%, but turns out to cover 60% and I 40% before the discount. I have called and talked to the benefits coordinator about this just to hear what they have to say. He made it seem like I misunderstood the codes, explaining that my insurance does not cover some of the treatment and the "removal of plaque" code was a polishing code. I understand I could be misunderstanding the meaning of the codes, however I still did not believe that I truly needed this extensive treatment. He also said they would never discount insurance and that I was reading the numbers wrong as my out of pocket would have been in the $1000s, but the math was very clear it went to insurance on the receipt.. I just said thank you and requested a copy of my X-rays to get a second professional opinion (which they never sent). I ended up going back to my prior dentist even though she's out of network, got my regular cleaning done and was told my teeth were good. Just be careful if you go here, dentist firms are businesses too, sadly.

The assistant placed the numbing cream in one area and Brenda took the big needle and numbed where she felt necessary. I SCREAMED LOL. It funny now but I was crying and then Brenda is going to say "I am just wonder are you okay"? I literally can't speak and she's asking and asking. I then asked her to give me a minute because wtf. Are you mad at me ? She came back and said she has a lot of work to do and I need a lot of work done and now because the trust is broken she can't continue. AFTER being numbed Good luck, I only came here because my sister wanted to recommend me for some referral credit. Not worth in.

I strongly regret choosing Lifetime Dental in San Bernardino and feel obligated to warn others…read moreabout my experience. The dental work I received was unacceptable and had to be corrected by another dentist. That alone speaks volumes. I have some background knowledge in dentistry -- enough to recognize when work is done properly and when it is not -- and the treatment I received fell far below professional standards. No patient should have to pay twice to fix work that should have been done correctly the first time. What was even more disappointing was the behavior of the front office staff. When I called to explain why I was unhappy with my last visit, why I will not be booking again ever. The woman I spoke with immediately became passive-aggressive and argumentative. Instead of listening or attempting to resolve the issue, she dismissed my concerns and spoke to me as though she had personally performed the procedure herself. It was defensive, unprofessional, and completely inappropriate. Patients deserve to be heard -- not challenged or belittled. The only positive part of my experience was the dental hygienist, who was kind and professional. Unfortunately, that was not enough to outweigh the poor quality of dental work and the careless customer service. I will not be returning to this office and will be contacting my insurance provider regarding my experience. I would strongly encourage others to carefully consider their options before seeking treatment here. Also to avoid their $95 cancellation fee just don't schedule here at ALL.

If you have a child with you and you need to get dental work...don't bring them here you'll waste…read moreyour time. I've been to 3 dentist office in 4 years and I'm always asked if my son will be with me. I understand there's sometimes kids who don't behave but don't assume my child is one of them. And when I tell you my kid is a calm kid then you need trust and see how it goes afterwards. I get to the front desk and First Lady asks if I have someone to watch him. Which is a common question and I assure her that he's a calm kid and he'll be fine and she says okay. My son wasn't making any noise, wasn't running around. And no, I don't have someone to watch him because mother works and I work in the afternoon. It's the only time I can take care of my needs. Then I have nurse come by to tell me we need to do X-rays and if I have someone to watch him. Again I say no I don't but he can stay off to the side while I'm doing the X-rays. I get it, it's radiation. Me and him have done this before he knows what to do. She tells me to hold on while she asks and proceeds to take 10 minutes doing whatever it was she was doing (does it take that long to ask a question?) and approaches me and just says okay I'm ready for you. Well I assumed we were good and I tell my son who is calmly sitting down watching a movie on my phone to walk with me. As we're walking some other lady receptionist gets up (mind you she's in the back and not sure what her Tuesday was like but girl sit down) and tells me oh he can't go back there... I'm taken a back trying to figure out what the hell is going on and what's the big issues I thought this was sorted out. I start arguing with them we already went over this and she says because we don't want him running around and I'm telling you're assuming he's like that, look at him..he's doing nothing but standing next to me. So I have him, a 3 YEAR OLD... sit down by himself in the waiting area meanwhile I thought I was just gonna do the X-rays and then I could bring him back there. Nope. We go to a room where they have two chairs and I said oh are we doing the x rays here and the mute nurse says yes and then cleaning and I said okay well can I bring him after the X-rays and she says no we can't. So basically I was gonna leave him out there by himself the whole time. I asked what's the big deal, why can't I just have him sit there...of course another nurse intercedes and starts telling me AGAIN..well we don't want him running around... Guys! Communicate...hell man...I've been through this at other offices. They accommodate. Okay. Not every kid is the same. Don't assume. Me and him have done this before. He knows to just sit and chill. And "Business owner" don't tell me to call relations just so you guys don't get real feedback here for everyone else to see knowing relations isn't gonna do crap about these ladies attitudes. My wife is an employee at Loma Linda University and I did not choose to go here. Business owner, the front office has my number if you'd like to contact me. They know who I am.
