Lots of shade, benches, and picnic areas. The pool looks amazing, we will bring our suits next visit. We had the park to ourselves for over an hour, we will be visiting again:)

This place has basketball courts, a playground, a huge field to play on, BBQ pits, and a pool area with a few water slides to play on. This review goes specifically to the huge concrete slide since that is what my friends and I came for originally when we decided to go here. Come with either a small cardboard or a huge long one so you can slide down the steep concrete slide. With the small cardboard you can slide down by yourself or if you come with the huge long one you can slide down 2 at a time. I have done both, but I would say that sliding down by yourself is safer...first hand experience. Wear comfortable shoes that you don't mind getting messed up in because you will use them to slow down your speed if you are too scared to go fast. Be prepared to get a few scratches and a few bruises on your butt. Other than that, this slide is very exhilarating and fun! A few tips: -Bring your own cardboard. There are a few there but you should probably bring your own just in case. -Wear comfortable shoes -You might want to wear long pants or a long sleeve if you don't want to get scratches or bruises. -Don't be scared, you only live once.

West Manor Park is a small park in west Davis. This hidden gem is located off of Salem Ave behind a…read morefew large apartment complexes. This small but huge park is a favorite for locals and college students, due to how remote this park is. In the mornings you will find people walking their fur friends of all kinds there. During the afternoons you will see kids playing on the big play structure, swinging on the swing, going around on the merry-go-round, digging holes in the large sand box or playing baseball on the baseball diamond. There is a large grassy area with a small gravel walking track that borders the grass and during the spring/summer time there is even a volleyball net the city puts up for public use. This park also has a roller hockey ring, a basketball court, and a tennis court. On Sundays you can even join in with the Davis Bike Polo League. Regular pick up games start at 12pm and end whenever it gets dark. There are 103 trees planted all around this park, (yes I counted all of them) which makes for some great shade during the hot summer days. I would say this is one of the better parks to have a picnic or BBQ at because there are plenty of picnic tables. Nine picnic tables are out in the open covered by the trees, one picnic table is by the basketball courts and there are two that are under a wooden covering. However there are only two small BBQs and one large one all located by the large seating area. This park also has a men's and women's restroom, but be careful because there are no doors on the stalls. The park is also equipped with one recycle container, four trash cans throughout the park, two bike racks and one water fountain. There are two parking lots for this park. The main lot is located off of Salem St, and the smaller lot is located off of Portage Bay Way. There are also two walking entrances from the residential side of the park located on Cumberland Place and Brandywine Place. I do not advise to park there since it is a residential area. Come out and enjoy this beautiful park in West Davis!

It's mostly just open (and yellowing) grass, with just a couple picnic tables under a few trees. They do have tennis, roller skating, etc courts, but they're pretty cracked and worn down. The baseball / kickball field only has a backstop, so actually playing the game is a do-it-yourself affair. The park is also pretty modest in size. Still, since the alcohol container ordinance apparently doesn't apply here and the park is pretty isolated, if you want to get drunk outside with your friends this is the prime place to do it! Thankfully, drunk people aren't usually too worried about the quality of a park.

The grass is green and the trees are trimmed. Its just a peaceful little park. Its very busy in the mornings, kind of dead in the afternoon, but picks up in the late afternoon. A simple short cut for students riding their bikes to DHS or UCD. There is tons of parking around this park. The best places to park is on Del Oro Ave, Baja Ave, and Catalina Dr. Those three places offer the best parking situations for you. There are other places that allow you to park and walk into the park, but parking can get a little tight with residential parking taking up most of the room. You can find those places at Jalisco Pl, Bella Case Ave, Ipanema Pl, Huerta Pl, Cortez Ave, Encina Ave, El Cajon Ave, Faro Ave, Anza Ave and Guaymas Pl. With all those places listed you should be able to find a way into the park. This the park has a total of 12 benches scattered all around so people can sit and enjoy the park. There are also 8 trash can located at different parts of the park to help keep it clean. There are also 2 play structures located inside the park. Pretty modern playground stuff, Swings, slides, different level on the structures itself. There is two tennis courts located by the restroom and water fountian. With two bike racks next to the tennis courts too. Wanting to BBQ, there are two BBQ's in the park, both have picnic tables close to them. As of right 09/25/17, They mow and blow off the walk trails on Thursdays, The tennis courts get blown off on Tuesday, Bathrooms are checked daily but get cleaned on Monday and Fridays.
