The only sign there is, is the one from the street. This and the parking lot situation were the only two things that I wasn't a fan of. Everything else was absolutely stunning. Our bride had her ceremony under beautiful trees, and the whole back lawn was decorated with tables, bar tops, photo booths, and a marquee sign. There were two bars, one under the gazebo and one under the trees, so there wasn't congestion there. There was tons of space to walk around and spread out. Such a picture worthy venue. It photographs extremely well. For the reception, we sat at tables right by the water. It wasn't too hot because of the nice breeze and sitting out at sunset was priceless. The bride didn't have anything set up inside, but you could go in there if you wanted. A beautiful spot for a destination/beach vibe wedding.

My experience with Affairs in the Air (AFA) was a nightmare from start to finish. The owner,…read moreCarolynn, was one of the most unprofessional individuals I've ever dealt with. This review reflects my experience with this vendor, and you better believe I'm coming to the table with receipts. We rented Selby Gardens' South Lawn for our ceremony and cocktail hour, and the North Lawn Ballroom for our reception. Since AFA is the exclusive lighting and décor vendor for Selby Gardens, we had no choice but to hire her. Unfortunately, this exclusivity left us at her mercy, and it quickly became clear that her priority was keeping our money--not providing service. Selby informed us 23 days before our wedding that, due to storm damage, the South Lawn was inaccessible. They offered us a partial refund if we moved our wedding to the North Lawn, which was also severely storm-damaged but still "operational." We declined, as it was beat up, and we were only planning to use the indoor ballroom. Selby ultimately refunded us in full due to the circumstances. We found a new venue 10 minutes down the road that allowed us to keep our date. The new venue recognized AFA and said Carolynn had worked there before, so we were thrilled! But when we proposed relocating and renegotiating her services, she flat-out refused, claiming that she didn't have insurance for the venue--a requirement never mentioned in our original contract. Despite a clear Force Majeure clause in AFA's contract, Carolynn insisted we weren't entitled to an adjustment or refund. Her reasoning? Selby was still hosting weddings on the salt-burned, leaf-bare North Lawn--even though our contracted space, the South Lawn, was deemed unsafe and unusable by Selby! Our AFA contract states: "If renegotiated, a full credit of your retainer will be applied to the new and updated contract. If your event is rescheduled due to a conflict on your part, we will only be able to accommodate you if the new date is available on our calendar." We kept the same date and time, and she was available. This wasn't a conflict on our part--it was Force Majeure. Up until her refusal to cooperate, we never asked for a refund; we simply wanted her to fulfill the contract. We even offered to pay for her insurance to retain her services and were happy to renegotiate the contract for any upcharges or changes. Instead of collaborating, Carolynn doubled down on her dismissive and rude behavior. Her communication was curt, unprofessional, and often grammatically incomprehensible. When it became clear she was going to deny service and keep all our money (we paid in full), we involved a lawyer. Carolynn suddenly offered us half of our deposit back if we signed an agreement not to leave a bad review. I obviously didn't sign that or accept the offensively low offer because she DID NO WORK. Carolynn's behavior was appalling. She showed zero regard for the contract, her professional obligations, or the difficult situation we were navigating. Every other vendor adapted with grace and compassion. AFA, on the other hand, was unethical, uncooperative, and showed no respect for their clients. I urge Selby Gardens to reconsider its exclusivity with this company. Even Selby staff warned me about how unpleasant Carolynn is. Brides should not be forced to work with such a difficult vendor. Brides and grooms, my advice is to avoid Affairs in the Air at all costs. Never pay a vendor in full until services are rendered, and always buy event insurance. Wedding planning is stressful enough without dealing with someone who disregards contracts, customer service, and basic human decency.

After seeing the underside of many tents, I knew I wanted something more elegant for our wedding, however, I was surprised to learn how much drapery and lighting typically costs! After shopping around, it was clear that Affairs in the Air had the most professional-looking drapery for the most reasonable prices. They were very communicative and helpful. I provided a photo of the style I was looking for, and AITA was able to provide photos of their own work that was very similar. In the end, our tent was so beautiful and absolutely surreal - and worth every last penny. We received so many compliments on it, and it really transformed the entire space. I'm so glad that we worked AITA into our limited budget. AITA also did a great job working with us and our tent vendor, U.S. Tent, to determine a timeline for setup and teardown. They arrived on time and had the drapery installed and also removed by the designated times. Thank you, Affairs in the Air, for making our wedding space so beautiful!

I found JMEP on Instagram and reached out to see how it works. From that day forward Jennifer was there for me 24/7! She knows EVERYTHING there is to know about planning a perfect wedding. The most important and impressive part to me is her constant communication and responsiveness. She literally made it impossible for me to feel stressed! I would text or call her and immediately she was on it. When it comes to her design skills, they're unmatched! I would give as much creative freedom to her because she puts together a stunning wedding! She puts in endless hours of communicating, planning, meeting us last minute when we were in town and listening to our every concern. I couldn't have asked for anyone more perfect to help us during this special year. (Also it was 2020 so the whole covid thing .. won't even get into it but she helped us navigate it all!) To top it off, the day of she's there and she is WORKING IT!!! Kept me confident, on schedule, and had every detail of the event running perfectly. There truly is nobody better than JMEP! Despite being asked questions on timeline during rehearsal dinner wedding planner was not able to answer what time guest should arrive and was dismissive to all questions stating her assistant was there not herself When asked about potential tree nut allergy she responded ( so they probably should not eat it - rather than coming up with alternate plan) planner was blatantly rude to younger members of the family as well sometimes trying to physically snatch an object from their hands. Word of warning!! DO NOT ENLIST THE SERVICES OF BOBBI PERRY AT PERFECT FLORIDA BEACH WEDDINGS!! I…read morerecently had her and her company do my wedding (October, 2014) and while the ceremony went off as expected, I was trapped into paying a ridiculous amount for my wedding photos. Here's my story: While working out the details of the contract with Bobbi, she did send me a price list of the photos and photo packages. I noted them and even saved that email and decided that I could budget $300 for fifty photos on a disc. Furthermore, I noted in her contract that there would only be edits on any photos purchased, and agreed that this was a fair and accurate thing to sign off on. Why would I need photos edited that I'm not purchasing?! So, the wedding day came and went and when I returned from our honeymoon, I had an email with a link to view the wedding proofs. Turns out, Bobbi's husband has a photography company and, lo and behold, it was his company she uses for her wedding photos. This in and of itself is fine, but I would have liked to known it upfront. The secrecy about this made it seem suspect and frankly creates a conflict of interests. She will never go to bat for her clients against her own husband. So, remember that. Anyways, while trying to select our photos, I emailed Booray (Bobbi's husband) to clarify that I could get my wind-blown hair "touched up" in the photos. He promptly replied that no photos on the disc would be edited. Imagine my shock!!! When I replied and asked what the $300 charge was for, he sent me a link to a very lengthy blog he had written in regards to why digital photos are so costly. In this blog, he used the example of charging a customer a $50 "session fee" and then making up the profits in the prints. Fine. But my "session fee" was $400 for TWO HOURS!!!!! That's quite a bit different. So, if you're keeping tabs, that brings the total to $700 for fifty UNEDITED pictures. I had several angry email exchanges with Bobbi where she even had the nerve to send me the portion of the contract that I had signed off on that discusses the pictures. Here it is: 26. EDITING Digital pictures are color corrected, corrected for exposure and cropped at the photographer's discretion. Items in the background such as people, umbrellas, volley ball nets, lifeguard stands, etc. are not removed on digital images purchased. Additional Photoshop may be applied to any prints and/or albums that are purchased and is completed at the photographers discretion. Special Requests for Photoshop are not accepted As you can clearly see, she states that additional photoshop may be applied to any prints that are purchased. Nowhere and at no time does she specify that digital pictures do not qualify. In fact, this paragraph starts with the words 'DIGITAL PICTURES"!!! Digital photos are purchased to make prints. This is an unethical misrepresentation of what products qualify. In hindsight, I should have asked for clarification. I took this to mean that the fifty photos I would purchase for $300 included editing, albeit "at the photographers discretion". I was sorely mistaken!! I spent $700 to have a guy come and devote two hours of his life to take some photos, then take five minutes and move fifty of them to a disc and drop it in the mail. If that isn't a rip-off, I don't know what is. Bobbi stated that she has never had a bride misunderstand her contract but when I asked her why her husband had a giant blog dedicated as his response to such questions if that was the case, she had no comment. Seems it's okay for her to mix business and pleasure when it is convenient for her, but she doesn't wish to discuss her husband and his business when it negates whatever absurd point she is trying to make. So, here I am, a month after my wedding, stuck. These people are the only ones with the photos of my wedding day and if I wanted any of them, I had to pay the exorbitant fee. So, I did. But, this is consumer entrapment at its finest and I want to spare any other brides from having this heartache. Please avoid Perfect Florida Beach Weddings and Bobbi Perry! Not only because of her shady business practices, but because throughout all of this, her lack of customer service and concern about me as HER client, was pathetic. I will be sending copies of our email exchanges to the Better Business Bureau and I will be posting my story on every wedding venue site I can think of to prevent anyone else from being ripped off. I hope your wedding memories aren't tarnished by a company lacking integrity like mine was.
