We purchased a spa from DHT a little over 5 years ago, when we were living in Davis and right after everything got shut down due to the pandemic. Since then DHT has moved on from selling spas and hot tubs and we have moved out to the Mendocino Coast. However, DHT has remained super helpful and knowledgeable any time we've had questions or issues with the spa. They are always available to help us troubleshoot a problem or answer any questions we have. This has been invaluable to us since we live in an area where spa service is difficult to find. read more

Wow! Wow! Wow! THIS IS AN AMAZING GIFT STORE! Years ago we bought a hot tub from them. I still buy chemicals, but in bulk so I have been in in a while. OMG! They are now filling a gap that Davis has had for a while now--a quality gift store. We've needed this since Ace got rid of their building on second street. Check it out!! Been going here for 17 yrs for pool , spa and home goods. I buy all pool chemicals here. I bring my pool and spa water in for analysis and recommendations. They are very help and owners care! They're recommendations are accurate. Without them I'd be up a creek. They have saved me from hiring a pool company. When I need a pool part they typically have it in stock. The prices are not necessarily a bargain. However if we don't shop here they'll go away. Have to shop local. Amazon doesn't do water analysis and doesn't tell you if you have too much metal in water. read more

We purchased a large doughboy a few years ago from Paula. Since then we have needed to call and get advice or help with something not working. Most of the time they don't return phone calls or call back when they say they will. I've had to call again due to pump not working. Young lady answered, took message and said Paula would return my call following day. Never did. I called one more time this week to leave a message and again still no return call. read more

This is an awesomely honest place. I went to purchase filters which I had preordered but because of the delay had bought elsewhere for the vacation weekend. When I returned a few weeks later, owner said, no I'm not selling you these. Bottom line, my pool installer installed lines backwards and caused broken filters. Straight up honest people here. Without her advise, I would have spent another $400, when pool repair was responsible for the first and second set of filters. Wonderful to have honest business people who care about you. read more

We have been customers for many years at Davis Home Trends and was very surprised when I went in to purchase some items for my company on our business account there and the new owner came up and said we don't do this any longer and a letter was sent out recently stating this. We never received any letter have have shopped at Davis Home Trends for many years. The new owner did not seem to care that I would no longer shop there if they won't bill our company any longer and do business with them going forward. We bought a floor model Coast spa (2019) model from Davis Home Trends. They stored the spa for several months until we could accept delivery. They switched out the 110v pump and heater for 220v units so that it would heat up quicker. Installation was a breeze and they gave us excellent instruction on spa maintenance. Great folks to work with. Steve even advised us on some swimming pool issues that allowed us to reach a satisfactory solution to a re-plastering issue with the work of another contractor. read more

Do not go to this place if you want to save time and money. This is the worst place I've been to. I went there and I showed them all the measurements for the windows to get an estimate. She told me she was going to give me the total estimate the next day by 4 pm. The next day, I didn't get any response from her and I called the shop to ask about my estimate. The person who received my phone call said the person is on vacation so he would call her and ask about my estimate. But I never got a return call or anything about my estimate. After the holidays passed, I went to the shop and I asked about my estimate. The woman was very rude and stated that it was a good thing she didn't give us an estimate because my wife was looking at other types of window coverings, which doesn't make sense, because we have the right to look at other options. I felt like she was trying to make an excuse for not getting me the estimate that I had asked for. Also, the worst part is that she said, "Are you going to work with me?", however, she was the one who didn't work with me from the beginning. Then, she threw a random estimate price that was one-third higher than other places for blinds that were the same brand and same material. I'm glad I took my money somewhere else because I saved money and better service. read more

Every time I have called for directions or help with a spa (I purchased privately), all of the staff are extremely helpful. Laurie is a gem. I purchase my spa supplies from them, but when I needed some repair, they didn't hesitate to make a recommendation to a local repairman. Great customer service... Great prices ... Disappointed. Went in on a weekday afternoon, nobody in the store, to ask how to best drain my hot tub and get a few chemicals for it. When I told them I hadn't bought the hot tub from them (bought it off of craigslist) the employee pooh-poohed me away and told me to go online to look it up. Not friendly. I'm surprised they couldn't offer any suggestions on the best way to drain it. I will buy my hot tub chemicals from somebody else. read more

Although I haven't been in the store for a while now, I still want to put up a small review. They sell so many different things it would be a shame not to inform the public on it. To start, they have Dough-boy pools, Coast Spas and all the pool supplies including the chemicals to keep it clean. They carry Fuller paints and painting supplies to make your home beautiful. Hunter Douglass Window Coverings are available here too. If you need Art supplies they have that along with a wonderful Picture Framing department. Ralph and Patti are as sweet as any people can be and they make sure their staff is well trained in whichever department they work in as well as in other departments. I love Davis Home Trends! I used to go to a Pool chain store to get my water tested and pool supplies. I quickly started feeling like I was being taken advantage of and upsold their branded products. A friend recommended Davis Home Trends and I could not be happier!! As a new pool owner I need all the help I can get from someone I feel I can trust and I am 100% finding that here. They are helpful, knowledgeable and honest. They have yet to try and sell me any of their products. Today I took my water in to be tested and all was perfect. Call me crazy but I was so appreciative of their business ethics that I wanted to purchase something from them so I got more chlorine packets. I may not need them today but I will need them in the next few weeks lol. read more

We remodeled a condo in West Davis and needed all new window and sliding glass door coverings. Interior design consultant Lori LaHaye did a wonderful job showing us all of our options and discussing installation and pricing. I loved the Hunter Douglas line of window coverings, and we are thrilled with the outcome. Before purchasing the condo, we had a built-in swimming pool. I will never go back, the workers were nothing but rude to me and I could hear hurtful things spoken about me while they were in the back (mainly the woman that work there!) The owner... tried to rub my neck when I was looking at the spas... gross, which upset my husband. Besides the customer service being poor, everything was way over priced, EVERYTHING!
