Davis Equipment Center states that "Customer satisfaction is important to us and we know our business depends on it. We earned our fine reputation the old fashioned way; through honest hard work and treating every customer with prompt and friendly service." I contacted them in May 2021 to have them replace the drive belts on an LTX 1040 Cub Cadet lawn tractor. I was informed that their tech/mechanic will not do the work since it [Paraphrased] "always causes trouble". They refused the job!! So what does one do?? Toss out the machine?? I replaced the belts myself - about an hour labor and two new belts. Simple job - just takes loosening engine (4 bolts) to move the drive pulley away from the forward belt keeper. A few other interference items (main belt keeper), 2 pulley removals, put belt on & replace everything in reverse order. Doesn't take a rocket scientist - just a 70 year old man with a little mechanical experience. Davis Equipment lost a customer on this one! read more

I bought a Gravely zt-54XL a couple summers ago from bill. When I arrived to pick it up I realized I didn't have enough tie down straps with me. Bill not only loaded the mower for me but handed me 3 straps to be sure it was safe for the trip home ( an hour away). I spent $7,250.04 cash on a cub cadet garden tractor and snowblower attachment from here. The machine was never right from day one and Bill Davis new this and made it very clear that he had my cash in hand and would not do any thing at all to remedy any of the problems I had. Come to find out from the manufacturer, all defects were due to improper assembly of both the tractor and the snowblower attachment. Still Davis equipment will not answer my phone calls and when I personally stop in to Davis Equipment shop the owners will never come speak with me about the issues I have. read more

I received an education when I went there. I bought a Cub Cadet with a Kawasaki engine. Mr. Davis took a long time showing me the product and teaching me a little about riding mowers and small engines. It was just a little more than the lower model at Home Depot. They delivered it nice and shiny. Now it's 2 years later and I had a question about a part on the mower. They got right back to me, with no attitude like you get other places. They answered my question which was something I could not find on the internet. I highly recommend them. read more
