10/10 experience here at David's bridal with Sarah Grace. Good pricing and attentiveness.

I had to go in here for a bridesmaid dress and a flower girl dress. When I went in for my own dress, I did not have an appointment, but had an associate who helped me right away. We got the dress, sized, and paid in a record amount of time. However, when I came in on the weekend for the flower girl dress, even though I had an appointment; it took over an hour. Most of which was just trying to check in. There was a lack of knowledge in regards to the register and how to find products, but overall, it was very chaotic. Not a great experience, but overall, not the worst. read more

BUYER BEWARE! At the time of sale the rep told us "all in-store sales are final" but what she did not do is disclose the damage present on the $300 supposedly new dress we were purchasing at FULL price. Now here we are we are, less than 48 hours later, discovering the damage upon our arrival at the alterations place. Assuming, naïvely, that nobody would knowingly conduct business like that I called the store, explained the situation and the damage (see pics attached), and was very politely told TOUGH LUCK. What a scam. A retailer in the business of a strong bottom line via customer satisfaction and repeat sales would have reviewed the gown thoroughly with the customer prior to a final sale to ensure they saw all flaws/damage present, if any. A retailer in the business of protecting their bottom line at all costs even if it means offloading damaged inventory on unsuspecting customers would... well, they would have done exactly what they did to us. In 25 years of buying dozens and dozens of dresses and gowns I've never seen such terrible customer service. So gross. Whether in-store or online, I will not EVER buy from David's again (and we spend a small fortune each year on formalwear) because either Davi'd's Corporate offices know of this practice, or they SHOULD know and be holding their retail locations to a higher standard. However, if you find you must do business with them, I suggest you save yourself the risk of dealing with David's Wilmington and order online! read more

Buyers Beware! I ordered online from David's two formal pant ensembles so I could try them on in the safety of my home (covid) and since I've had a complete mastectomy. Finding clothes to fit a flat chest has been very difficult. No where on their website do they announce so one can readily see, that they will only do full refunds within 7 days. That information is hidden in another tab. Since they will not accept these for full refund and I do NOT want anything else they have to offer for the same amount of money, I will now need to sell them below cost on Ebay. David's Bridal does not care about their customers, only their bottom line. This experience has left a horrible taste when I should be experiencing overwhelming happiness for our son's wedding. read more

BOOK APPOINTMENT Bryan Local Guide·14 reviews an hour ago NEW A terrible experience for me and my wife. We bought her dream dress and then decided to pay the money to Davids Bridal for alterations, which turned into a nightmare. After three attempts we barely got the dress in time and she basically just decided to accept it as is because we didn't really have any other options. On our wedding day when she went to put on the dress it snapped at a crucial point and became a tape job and scramble for it to work. After the wedding my wife and mil went to complain and she requested a refund on the dress because who wants to keep a damaged dress after all the trouble? They were told the customer service would give us an answer and yesterday the store manager called and stated the best they could do is 15 percent and it was due to her wearing the dress. The store manager also stated... "It's a shame nobody had a needle and thread to help you" that's a hell of a thing to say after paying 5 to 6 hundred dollars to them to make it fit and work. I am writing this review to state that if you have a daughter or fiance that is looking to go with Davids Bridal don't expect great customer service or a quality product. It will also be your fault for wearing your dress on your wedding day because apparently your not supposed to do that? I work for one of the areas largest employers and I will gladly tell anyone who will listen not to do business with this company. I also think the store manager should learn to have a little more respect to her customers since words travel fast. I also asked for the district manager to call me and she stated they are too busy this week with calls. If you want to be blown off and disregarded Davids Bridal is the place for you! read more

I had the worst experience. Good thing I'm very "go with the flow." I went to find my wedding dress, which I thought was going to be very exciting. We go to the back and I show her every dress I liked, that I found on their website. She told me they didn't have any of the 7 dresses I found. So she brought me 6 dresses that were completely opposite from anything I wanted! Clearly everyone working there knew something was wrong cause they were all peaking around the corner and watching through mirrors. My mom and wedding planner started going through the dresses and sure enough found all that I wanted. She asked if I wanted to take a video holding the sign up that says I found my dress, in the video she called me Amanda, twice. Which okay, cool. I found my dress! It was my size and all. She insisted I order a new dress, which was fine cause it was a little dirty from people trying it on. So I agreed. A few weeks go by and they call to have me come in and get fitted. I go in and my dress is the color "ivory stone" I ordered white. I mean my wedding was a black and white wedding so my dress had to be white! I ask what my options were since I work out of town and I don't have time to be running around looking for a dress! They said I had already paid for it so I could sell it on market place or keep it. Like whatever, I had to keep it! I come all the way back for my final fitting. They had to take my dress up, put a bustle and take an ugly bow off that we discussed. I come in and nothing was done on my dress except a huge clear button on my back for the bustle that you could clearly see instead of hidden. Cool. So I come back again. Again I work 7 hours away, 12 hour shifts, 6 days a week!.. Try it on and it looks fine. I'm just tired of them at this point. They put me in a tiny room to look and my dress. Well get to wedding day and I'm looking at these pictures and obviously you can see my feet. Like come on. Picture speaks for it self. Thanks for nothing I guess. Oh and the built in bra I paid for was never put in either. Lol. read more

Great Customer Service! Lily and Sharon were so helpful and had such can-do attitudes, I was amazed. I found a gown in Roseville CA that I loved. The Roseville store did not have my size and when I asked the salesclerk if she could search other stores, she said, I don't know, Then she went on her computer and said Oleg Cassini did not make my size (8-10) in that dress and there were none in any stores at all. She said that if it was not showing up on her inventory on the computer, it would not be in ANY stores as they share the same inventory system. Not accepting that explanation, I called other local California stores who seemed like they were too busy or just looked up the Style # and said no one had this dress. So I started calling other states. I called the Tampa Florida store. I kick myself for not getting this lady's name but she was as so helpful. Even though her store did not have my size, she was able to look on her computer and see many stores that had Oleg Cassini WGIN5141D in Sage and in my size. She went further to take the time to give me multiple locations and their phone numbers. I cannot thank her enough. My next call was to the Wilmington NC store. I spoke with Lily and she was incredible. She understood how badly I wanted to find this dress. She had it in my size, she sent me a photo of it and the tag to be sure it was the correct dress. She looked the dress over to be sure the beading was all in place. Lily had her Manager, Sharon, get on the phone and take care of the purchase. Sharon made sure she did not repeat my credit card numbers out loud to protect my personal data and arranged for the delivery of my beautiful dress. Both ladies were extremely professional, friendly, and efficient. Thank you two ladies for everything. read more

Joslyn and august helped me find my dream dress!! They were wonderful so thankful to have had them there!

We had an appointment for the bride, they were late by fifteen plus minutes and then got the bride the wrong size. She was a size twelve and needed bigger options and said they didn't carry it. Jocelyn was the rudest and made us feel unwelcome. DO NOT SHOP HERE!! Terrible service, terrible quality, terrible selection read more

Went with one of my bridesmaids to this location to find a dress for my August wedding. Upon arriving and starting to look at dresses an associate yelled at us to stop touching the dresses. I understand the problem due to the virus but we were not informed before hand instead rudely yelled at. Our stylist assigned to us would not pull any dresses we asked to see and during the middle of our visit she left and went on break without telling us! We were left in the dressing room with no help! We had to find a new stylist willing to help us finish our visit! read more

Manager tonight (dec 2) was the worst experience I've ever had. Went to go exchange a dress (store exchange NOT refund) and the manager said she could not find the dress in system and said she could not verify we actually purchased it (tags still on dress) after arguing for over an hour she found it in their system and could do store exchange. Only has the dress for less than 60 days. The manager actually had my mother in tears. This is after we have purchased two wedding dresses from this exact store. So sad that management can add so much stress to a wedding when their store caters to weddings. The store staff was kind but the manager was a complete nightmare read more

I went to David's Bridal yesterday to get a bridesmaid dress and it was the worst customer service I've experienced in a long time. I was in there for almost two hours and only one person actually asked if I needed help. I picked out some dresses and the only sizes I could find were large sizes so I flagged a lady down and asked if she could help me clip the dress back so I could see what it would actually look like. Well I tried on 5 dresses and actually got helped with clipping one of them. They either need more staff or better training. I checked in when I got there and then received an email today saying "sorry we missed you". How unprofessional! I bought my own wedding dress at the Asheville NC store and went to that store again last month with a friend and the customer service in Asheville is superb! Wilmington should take notes. Below is the email I got. Overall just horrible. read more

I went to Davids Bridal in Wilmington North Carolina on Monday March 11 2019 for a bridal dress appointment. My consultant Nikki was amazing I was there once before as a walk in. When i came back for my appointment she remembered my type of wedding, my dress likes and dislikes. We found my dress and it was an amazing experience. The staff is super friendly and kind. Nikki for sure knows her stuff. She takes her time and when I knew the dress was the one even before showing my mom and bridesmaids she took the time to make sure the Corset back was perfect. I highly recommend others to ask for Nikki. read more

Walked in and the lady at the front didn't say hi or welcome, walked around and looked at their selection. Nothing caught my eye. Went over to the brides gown section and saw a pink gown I loved but not in my size. Almost bumped into a sales lady an she didn't even acknowledge me, no excuse me, hi how are you... nothing. Spent about 20 minutes combing the racks and nothing. And never had anyone that worked at the store come up to help or ask to help. Sorry I was the wrong skin color. This happened Sunday 2-24-2013 between 12:30-1pm, so the store had just opened and no one was tired from a long day at work. Found a dress at Dillard's, so my trip from Jacksonville wasn't a complete waste. read more

I went by David's Bridal this afternoon to look at wedding dresses for my daughter. I spent almost 30 minutes in the store without the first clerk acknowledging my presence. Not only did this David's Bridal have a fantastic selection of silver dresses, which was exactly what we were looking for, but their alterations lady, Eirleen I believe her name was, was fantastic. We needed a quick alteration (sewing a gathering in an attached shawl) and she was able to accommodate our schedule and get the dress sewn within 5 minutes. The entire staff was quick, friendly, efficient, and very accommodating to two out-of-towners. We will definitely be back and recommend them to everyone who has a need for a dress. read more

The ABSOLUTE worst! Multiple sales people including mangers lied to me regarding their return policy by saying I could return my dress within 7 days of receiving it. It's crazy after an hour of being told that their policy had changed and I could have an exchange. Not to mention I had to call into the store looking for my dress when I hadn't heard anything from them and it had already been there for 3 days! I made multiple calls to corporate customer service of which they didn't return for months and then when they finally did the couldn't have been less helpful. Don't go here if you're looking for your dress moment to be special, but if you want to be pressured into a purchase and then lied to so everyone can keep their money except you then it's the place for you. Gross management and terrible service. Predatory sales at best. No wonder they aren't registered with the BBC and their standings are terrible! Look at all those complaints!!!! read more

I could not be happier with my experience at David's Bridal! Their manager and sales associates took excellent care of me and made sure I found my perfect dress! The atmosphere was very relaxing and comfortable in comparison to some of the snootiness I experienced at smaller boutiques. I visited several stores and without question David's is where I found my dream dress and dream wedding dress shopping experience! They have an excellent selection that allowed me to find something unique and top quality. When I tried on dresses I tried on ones I liked without looking at the price tag and the one I picked just happened to be a great value, that's a huge bonus of David's where they have excellent dresses that aren't insanely expensive. Another bonus is they are super easy to work with for picking out bridesmaids dresses that are pretty and not outrageous. A bonus of having stores all over is that bridesmaids can easily go to a David's Bridal near them and try on their bridesmaids dresses as everything is streamlined in their computer system. Lastly my dress came in within a month of ordering it giving me plenty of time to get alterations! Overall this was a wonderful experience for me and I highly recommend the David's Bridal in Wilmington! read more

The staff at David's Bridal in Mayfair were very attentive despite the fact that the store was very busy the day that I went looking for dresses. I am going to a military ball and didn't have too many ideas about what kind of dress I wanted - color or style. A variety of dresses were picked out for me until I settled on a style that I liked - then a variety of colors were picked. I am not a big shopper, so when this whole process only took about 45 minutes and I had settled on a dress that I loved by the end of it, for under $100 might I add, I was thrilled. Went back yesterday for my alterations appointment. The alterations staff is very kind and clearly have lots of experience. I would argue that the alterations might be a bit pricier than I was looking for, but I feel more comfortable spending a bit more and knowing that the job will be done correctly. read more

I came in with my friend so she could try on different styles and get an idea of what she wanted for her bridal gown. We had Randi. This woman absolutely could not stop making comments about my friend's size. This is my 2nd experience w David Bridal. Both have been terrible. Consistently getting my info and name wrong was just the beginning. Trying on the dress I needed was told we could alter it to make the top tight enough... I had to insist for them to allow me to just try a smaller size. Which of course provided no alteration necessary for the top. I did have to get the length altered which was a huge rip off but I went thru their company so my dress can be shipped out of state to the location of the wedding. Getting it altered i was told now there may be a fee for shipping that was put into effect in dec, my dress was ordered in Nov so I am hoping they honor the free shipping. Alteration fee includes a coupon for a wedding book that expires before the event, a free cleaning- I just bought it so it doesn't need to becleaned, and a steam - which I figured wouldn't be necessary but the dress I ordered came in very wrinkled. Just got off the phone a an employee who will not give me accurate info concerning shoes i found on line that they currently have in the store. And she will not hold the shoes for me to try on when my dress comes in. Every interaction with this store has been terrible. read more

Three strikes. First, the wrong size dress was ordered. I did try on the correct size in the store before ordering at the store so I'm not sure how someone can make that mistake. The dress had to be reordered and came in a couple weeks later. Luckily, the dress only needed hemming. On the initial alteration, they did not hem the front of the dress. After the second alteration, the back of the dress is too short, and the entire hem is uneven. I'm taking the dress somewhere else to correct the alterations. I now have to buy new shoes because the dress will be too short. As for the dress itself, it's nothing special. Appears to be mass produced with a cheap zipper. Order from there if you need to but use your own seamstress. The ladies at the store are nice, but competence is important in order to have satisfied customers. Good thing I started this process early, otherwise I would be in a mess of trouble with my best friend, the bride. Started this process on 9/5/2021 and it is still incomplete almost 7 months later. It should not be this difficult to order a simple bridesmaids dress and have a hem sewn. This is for the Wilmington, NC location. I have no idea why my review profile shows San Francisco, CA. read more

The ladies were wonderful to work with me. A dress I ordered out of country was such a disaster. I went to David's and explained my situation bc I only had 2 weeks to get my wedding. As I was sharing what happen one girl was asking what I envisioned I told and2 girls came with hand fulls of clothes and the gown off the storefront display. (That was my favorite from first look but the said it was being used as a display bc that line was being removed from their line. So an hour later I had my wedding gown ( they got permission after talking to their headquarters said I could purchase it if I was adamant that was the dress. Well it was. It only need the cross cross straps righted up and some pearls restrung. In addition to my dress I had my reception dress. Jewelry and the perfect shoes. Close call but it all worked out! Though a bit of a rushed experience, Davids had lots of great options for a bride on a budget.

I tried on and purchased my dress shortly after the store reopened post-covid. I found an amazing dress and was encouraged to purchase it off the rack because there was uncertainty about being able to obtain dresses by mail with covid. I understood and purchased the dress after being ensured that there would be a full bead count and cleaning during alterations. I picked up my dress and there was lipstick on the lace, the clasp was broken, and there were sweat stains on the inside of the dress as if people had been wearing it. A staff member quickly stepped in and the dress was replaced immediately for a brand new one with free alterations. Mistakes happen, and I was very grateful for an immediate solution so close to my wedding date. The staff were extremely accommodating and did everything the could to make me feel comfortable. I picked up the new dress after alterations and it was beautiful. I could not have been more happy. Flash forward to my wedding day - I sit down to have a picture taken while I am opening my gift from my fiancé and as I sit down, I am literally stabbed in the buttock by what I thought was a safety pin that got left on the inside of the dress. My photographer and two bridesmaids went underneath my dress to find 3 very long, very sharp alteration pins that were left in my dress. It took three people to help me stop the bleeding onto my brand new dress on my wedding day. I pushed through and tried not to let it ruin my day, but I spent my wedding day with blood on the inside of my dress and in a lot of pain every time I sat down. I understand that mistakes happen - we are all human. However, this was all just way too much. read more

I purchased a dress from David's Bridal in January for my upcoming wedding. I bought a $400 dress and left the store very excited. A month later, I returned for my alterations fitting appointment and was completely shocked to be charged more than $500 in alterations!! However, I paid the price because I loved the dress and of course, had been told of their no refund policy. So "what choice do I have" is how I was left feeling. When I picked up the dress, it was too tight, even with me removing undergarments I had wore during the fitting appointment. But I figured if I lost a pound or two, it would fit perfectly. Not the case! I am 5 days out from my wedding with a wedding dress that has now cost me $1000 and it does not fit. There is no way I can wear this dress in front of friends and family. So instead, I will be wearing a dress I purchased for $50 from JCPenny's on my wedding day. I'm completely disappointed with this entire experience. read more

Let me just say, they were VERY ACCOMMODATING! This was my very first dress appointment and I was so pleased with the service, and loved the lady I worked with so much, I actually felt so bad I didn't find my dress here. I walked in and they handed me a clipboard to fill out some minor information (name, address, email). Then they gave me a quick run down of how the appointment was going to go. The lady I worked with (and I can't remember her name) told me she was retired and was all mine. She also went ahead and said "first things first, I did not make a single dress in this shop, you are going to come across some ugly dresses - there are some very ugly dresses on the racks, and you won't hurt my feelings if you hate any of them, so be honest since you are looking for your wedding dress". That right there couldn't have been more true. The lady I had was a PLEASURE to work with I absolutely loved her and gave her a big hug when I left!
