This place was honestly awful. This was the fourth bridal shop I went to so I knew what I wanted and the consultant did not listen to me at all. All the dresses I tried on were either huge or way too small, it was beyond discouraging and hurtful. She did not listen to what I wanted, put me in one of the dresses I picked out and then decided they weren't "sexy" enough and picked other ones out on her own. I was not going for a sexy look at all, I'm very traditional and I'm getting married in a church but she was determined to find me the dress so much that what I wanted didn't matter. The consultant was not adaptable and was so offended every time I said I didn't like something about a dress. She had no idea what she was doing. This was a horrible experience and I would not recommended this David's Bridal at all. Very, very disappointed. read more

Go to the store to look, but buy online! I bought a vail from the Rochester store and then later found a vail online that I liked better. The store would let me 'exchange' the vail to at the physical store for something at the store, but they wouldn't let me exchange with the vail that I wanted online. Makes no sense right? David's would still be getting the sale- I guess the online store and the physical stores are completely separate and you cannot intermingle exchanges or returns. My advice would be to never buy in the store and just buy all online because they have a much bigger selection that they are able to accommodate. read more

I am very disappointed in your bracelet and necklace I bought on Aug 18th ,2017 for my Daughters wedding in Colorado on Sept 24th I took the bracelet out to wear it it was broke, I went to the wedding and before the wedding was over my necklace broke and fell off my neck! and you do not give back the money or replace the bracelet or necklace? Went in with my bridesmaids so they could select their dresses (scheduled appointment). The consultant we worked with was very friendly but also very inexperienced. Two of my three bridesmaids ordered dresses and were told it could take up to 16 weeks to receive the dress. My third bridesmaid ordered her dress online through the David's Bridal website, and she had it within a week. I'm a bit mystified by this. Glad I'm not in a big rush, or I would just order everything online. Overall, an OK experience. read more

This was a review from 2011, I accidentally published it in Rochester NY, very embarrassing. I wanted to give the Rochester MN store the credit it was due so here's the review: My consultant Anna was attentive and listened to what I wanted. She brought me dresses that I had picked out and ones she thought I might like and every single dress was under my budget. She didn't pressure me to buy a dress, in fact they told me they would hold the dress while I went home to sleep on it. Also got alternations done, it was a complicated dress and the lady doing alternations did a great job. Also came up with a really beautiful bustle that wasn't your standard french or american. Horrible experience. I didn't even buy my dress there because of the selection but I thought I would use their gown preservation service to clean and keep my dress nice as a keepsake. THEY LOST MY DRESS. They lost my $1400 dress and we haven't even gotten a return phone call past them picking up the other girls dress that accidentally got delivered to me. It was only insured up to $500 because they didn't say anything about paying more for more insurance. I'm not so much upset about the money (even though that is EXTREMELY irritating), I'm upset that they lost something that meant so much to me as a reminder of our very special day. We have called them multiple times and each time keep getting forwarded to the company that preserves them with no answer. Leave voicemails with no return phone calls. Horrible horrible experience. If I ever get my dress back they will be refunding me the money for the preservation. So unprofessional. read more

We went here today with my granddaughter looking for a dress for her mothers wedding we had an appointment our girl was also helping another group which they were looking for a wedding dress so needles to say we never got any help mind you we bought two of my daughters wedding dresses there and 7 bridesmaid dresses a few months back. I went to this store two years ago, and I'm just now getting around to writing a review. I went with my best friend, who was getting married the following fall (September 19, 2015). Our poor consultant did the best she could, but ended up going home sick. She was so sweet though, and I wish I could remember her name. Another consultant helped us, but she was also very busy, it was a Saturday. I previously worked at a different David's Bridal, and didnhe best I could to help my friend. She ended up finding her perfect wedding gown, and we went up again later and found bridesmaid dresses. Overall, a good experience. We were bummed that our consultant got sick though! read more

If I could give this store no stars I would have! I have never had such poor quality of service. I recieved a dress for a wedding that was damaged. When i returned the dress to the store I was taken back to the alterarions department where an incredibly rude alterarions lady told me she didnt know what my problem was, and it was just going to cost me 120 dollars to fix! Let me explain. My dress had to much interface sewn in the bust. Obviously not my mistake to have to pay for! This was a 200 dollar Vera Wang dress that was just poorly constructed, that they wanted me to pay to fix!!! I spoke with the manager who couldnt reassure me that if I ordered a new dress that it would get here on time for the wedding, and that it wouldnt be the same way. So basically she couldnt guarantee that I would have a dress or a dress that was sewn correctly! I wouldn't refer anyone to any David's bridal. This is clealry the "walmart" of bridal salons with rude and inconsiderate associates. Thanks David's bridal, me nor any of my friends will be using your services again!! read more

I was in the process of looking for two dresses for separate weddings this year. I've been looking at dresses online when I found the two dresses I would have liked to purchase if they fitted me well. I gone into the Rochester location in hopes of trying on the dresses that I loved online. When I walked into the store there were a few sales associates around helping other customers out. But what turned me off was the fact, I was never approached to ask if I need help or greeted unlike the other customers who walked in after me. I was hovering around in the background wondering if any of sales associates were going to help me next. I had already found my dresses and was ready to try it on. Ten minutes passes of wondering around looking for the sales associate to let me into the fitting room, when I decided it wasn't worth it. I sadly put the dresses back. I gone to different bridal shop to purchase my dresses with better customer service. read more

I made two appointments with this store. One with my family I scheduled at least three to four months in advance coming from a ways away with my 85 year old grandma. They called me telling me they over booked and needed me to reschedule that same week of my appointment. Once I got there I was basically told I pretty much had to try on the dresses myself even though I reserved a time. It was my first time in an actual dress store so I wasn't sure how things went. Second time I went I wanted to retry on the dress that I thought was the one. I reserved a time and showed up. The most the last helped with was putting the dress on the outside dressing room hook and left me for the longest time trying to button up the back until I finally just left. My sister finally took me to a different dress shop and my god they were so nice and helpful! Way different experience than davids bridal. I don't recommend. read more

My experience at this location was disappointing. My daughter, bride to be, invited me to begin her journey looking for her wedding dress. We arrived at Davids Bridal, greeted inside by an associate asking if we had an appointment, my daughter said "no", the associate then said "You can look, but not try on any dresses, as you do not have an appointment, and there is no time slots available." The workers there, wondered around the store talking among themselves, finally one did come ask if anyone is helping us, which we said "no" ... then she walked away. We were in the store for approx 45 min to 1 hr., which no time there was anyone trying on dresses or shopping in the store, we were the only two customers there. I can understand needing an appointment if they were "booked" and no dressing room available. The associates did not interact with us, ask if we had questions, tell us anything about their dress shop, they just had no interest to wanting our business. I almost felt we were invisible. read more

Very disappointed with April who helped my niece. She asked for sweetheart neck line and not one dress was sweetheart. April got the dresses for her and helped her put them on but then just leaned back on the cupboard and gave no other help or suggestions unless we asked. She disappeared for extended periods of time and then when it was the bridesmaids turn, she was absolutely no help at all and again disappeared. We will go back but we will request someone other then April to assist us. read more

Had an apt yesterday for my daughter to pick out her JR maid of honor dress for my wedding coming up in Feb. It was a very important and exciting thing for both her and I. The woman who was our attendant showed us where the dresses where and told us our room was number 19. she never came back to see if we had any questions while looking at the dresses.. we took all the dresses to the room ourself..there wasn't much of a selection either and when I had called the day before to confirm my apt and ask if there was a good selection the woman told me there were a lot for us to look at. The woman never measured my daughter or anything so we truly were making a guess as to which sizes to bring to the room. Needless to say we left unhappy and not purchasing I wish I wouldn't have purchased my dress from here... and my sister got married last year and got her dress there and all our bridesmaid dresses. I have one other sister and we can promise we will take our business elsewhere when her time comes. The only good thing that came out of us walking into that store is that after trying a few dresses I know for sure what size to order my daughter ONLINE AND NOT FROM DAVIDS BRIDAL. read more
