Title: Don't Be A Bridezilla! Be Kind! Be Constructive! I went to David's Bridal on Saturday with my mother, aunt, and two bridesmaids. Despite having a horrible migraine I was greeted kindly by the employees working at the main entrance, it was quite the positive environment. Soon after I was set up with Diana Racheco who quickly loaded the dresses I had already sorted through via David Bridal's website (aka "favorites"). Within a matter of minutes Diana found most of the dresses (if not all) that I had on my "favorites" and even a few dresses that were similar to what I was hoping for. I tried on 7 dresses, and it was not because I didn't like any of the 7....but it was because they were all great dresses! Diana did a wonderful job of making me feel comfortable and helping me with all the fine details. In other words, Diana put on a variety of vales and cute bling for each dress I tried on. Essentially, she really did help make me feel like a bride! I ended up selecting the 2nd dress I tried on, but it was a tough choice to make because I liked 6 of the 7 dresses. Of most importance, Diana made me laugh, smile, and I am extremely grateful to have had someone so thoughtful, patient, and caring. I think you need the help of someone that cares particularly when they are providing you with dresses that highlight you! For that...I will be eternally grateful. *Note! I think that if you post a review and it is a negative one (which I have read numerous posts)....DO NOT just point out all the things that are wrong with the place or issues you had, BUT provide constructive criticism so that employees that want to improve can with your help. Saying that people are "fake" does not help someone get better, but saying something like "I would have liked for someone to have taken the time to get to know me so they did not seem as fake". This statement is more appropriate instead of bashing a company or person, and it is definitely something I encourage. Sorry, but it's not very nice to point out what's wrong (nor does it do any good except let you complain), but it is helpful to provide something constructive. I encourage future brides to be mindful of this when posting reviews about David's Bridal in McAllen. Don't be a BRIDEZILLA! Be kind, yet constructive and help a company or person improve! What excellent service!!! From the moment Alex greets you at the front you have a wonderful experience. Alex never forgot who we were and always went the extra mile to be helpful and kind. Caitlin sold me my dress. She was patient and encouraging and made me feel like I was her only customer. Jasmine worked with us in alterations. Her enthusiastic yet professional nature made the alterations experience enjoyable. She was respectful, helpful, and thoughtful. Lastly, we worked with Macaria! She works as the seamstress in the back of the store, removed from all of the action. Macaria deserves to be front and center. Despite her amazing sewing abilities, she is humble and patient with the brides. I speak English and Macaria speaks Spanish as her first language. She didn't let this language gap prevent her from providing the BEST service in alterations. What a hardworking and patient woman!!!! The staff at this store deserve recognition and I hope they know how important each of them are in making so many people's weddings special!!! Amazing teamwork from start to finish!! My only suggestion is to make the fitting rooms larger to better accommodate the brides in their big puffy gowns. It would be nice to see yourself BEFORE exiting the fitting room and to not be elbow to elbow with your attendant. Overall, a great experience! read more

The first visit to David's bridal was an absolute disaster. My friends and myself were pretty much on our own with getting dresses on and off me and when they fit too big the sales rep didn't offer any assistance. Thankfully this last visit on Sunday was absolutely perfect!! DeeDee's customer service was phenomenal. From the way she greeted me up until the very end at check out. I picked out five dresses; she helped me in and out of the first two and then excused herself to bring me a dress she had in mind. Upon her return I tried it on, stepped out, looked in the mirror and was absolutely wow'd!! She found my dress!!! It wasn't any of the ones I had selected and honestly believe if it wasn't for her I never would've seen that dress, tried it on, nor said yes to the dress! The fact that I am extremely picky worried me when she said she had a dress in mind, but when I saw myself in it I was in love and instantly said it was my dress! So yay deedee!! I'm a first time bride... I saw a veil that went perfectly with my dress but didn't have my wallet on me to purchase it. So I went early the next day and turns out they did not have it in stock anymore in the color I wanted.. Katy spent 1 hour and 1/2 waiting on hold with me and for me while she contacted the Contact Center and other stores in Washington, Arizona, and California!! I was sooo appreciative that she was so patient and kind while doing so. Needless to say they still did not have the veil, BUT.. I went to the David's Bridal app on my phone just a couple days later and went through the same process I had been through with Katy on ordering the veil (just for funsies). It never actually went through and processed but that day it did!!! I guess they got an extra shipment and I was able to get the one I wanted. So thankful to such a great staff read more

We had spent the morning at another bridal store and it did not go well. Davids Bridal was so pleasant and our stylist Melissa was an angel sent from heaven. She was very much in touch with my daughter (the bride Danielle Duncan) and what her desires were and actually picked several dresses she thought Danielle would like and we ended purchasing one of Melissa's recommendations. She was courteous, thoughtful and knew the inventory and was very good at soothing brides, bridal party and mommies nerves. Melissa was great at recommended and providing excellent accessories. She had a smile and can do attitude the whole time and made us all feel like valued customers. WE LOVE MELISSA AND MUCH THANKS TO HER AND TO DAVIDS BRIDAL. Great customer service! Everyone is friendly! It was also VERY convenient knowing I can simply walk-in to shop. Appointments are preferred but sometimes work schedules are unknown to people so I'm glad they are open everyday :) I bought a ball gown dress from Oleg Cassini and it was gorgeous! David's Bridal was the first and last store I found my wedding dress! At first I was a bit disappointed because I had initially wanted a backless dress (they don't carry much of that style..) but I came across a strapless ballgown that was so intricate and beautiful! Pick up time was accurate, as well as alterations. Alterations were a bit pricy (paid 300) but they didn't mess it up one bit! Ladies in alterations were sooo nice! read more

Living in McAllen most of my life, I had not stop by David's Bridal. I wasn't aware of what the store has to offer for men and women. I stopped by the other afternoon and was greeted by a gentleman name Alex M. At the front desk. He had great customer service and very helpful with the store setup and gave me a great tour of the place. I really thought the store was only for women that wanted to get married. However, they offer quite an extensive amount of options to men and women. Alteration services for those like me who require a bit due to height and weight. The store it self has more than enough options than one can handle with selection. The staff is always willing to assist in anyway. read more

My wedding is coming up in August and I came to this location from Corpus Christi in hopes of finding a dress with my best friend. My friend suggested that I try on a certain type of dress, a former fitting one, which I would have never consider because I just didn't think it looked well. My wedding consultant Melissa listened to what we said and pick a dress that she thought I would like. Well I didn't like it, I loved it! I said yes to a dress that was the type of material I wanted and it was form fitting. Never would I have thought it would look great on me, but it did. I had a great experience in the Mcallen Davids bridal. Mayra was my consultant and helped me find my wedding gown!! She listened to the fact I was only interested in the clearance gowns since I was on a budget and my wedding was only four months away. Not only did she find me the perfect gown- it was almost 50% off!! She was very patient and helped me into the dress two separate times even when she had multiple people there needing her help. She also found me the perfect corset, veil and petticoat. Mayra definitely made my experience a positive one. I will be taking my dress back for alterations 6 weeks before the wedding so hopefully the alterations team is just as good as Mayra was! read more

I went to David's bridal about a month ago to look for a wedding dress. I didn't know what type of style fitted me best, so I wanted to try on different silhouettes. Melissa helped me do just that. We went through about 7 dresses and I also tried the first two again and found the perfect beautiful dress. Melissa was extremely helpful and patient. She helped me with find the most beautiful veil that fit my dress, shoes, and petty coat. The whole staff was amazing. They made me feel so comfortable through the whole process. I am so beyond pleased with my overall expirience here. The staff is wonderful. Glendy signed me in and I had already gone in a disapointed/upset mood thinking it would be like every other visit to other bridal shops in the area. She was super sweet and patient with me. As I was browsing, Melissa came up to me and offered help. She was wonderful! She was very patient and was not at all pushy. She made me feel very comfortable and made me feel like I was the only customer at the store. I accompanied my niece Cari to buy a wedding dress at the David's Bridal in McAllen, Texas. Our consultant Dee Dee was absolutely amazing! Very personable and knowledgeable. It was such a fun experience for Cari and all of her aunts at such a special occasion. Cari not only found a dress, but 2 of my sisters got dresses as well. Since Cari lives and works in Victoria it made it nice that we were able to get a lot accomplished for the big day in one store. Horrible experience! The store manager needs to learn how to provide quality customer service. Shopping experience was nice because the consultant Erika was very knowledgeable and attentive. After buying the wedding dress, alteration experience was a nightmare. It wasn't done right the first time. When I spoke to the manager just to make sure it's done right the second time since my wedding is next week, she sounded annoyed and defensive. Instead of reassuring me it would be fixed the way I want it, she tells me that I shouldn't expect the dress to be perfect. I am never going to shop at this place again. read more

I went today to look at dresses and I was greeted well and everyone there was really helpful, specially Anahi,my stylist, she helped me look for the perfect dress. I am glad I said yes to the dress, I didn't think I would find it yet with her help I was able to. Earlier today my mom, sister, sisters best friend and I went into the shop to help my sister find a wedding dress. We were greeted with warm smiles and helpful people. Our stylist Mayra was the best one we could have even hoped for. She was so sweet, kind and knowledgable. From the beginning she was helpful and just a great joy to be around. What an amazing experience! I had a huge crowd with me to help me select my wedding dress. Melissa was amazing in helping me pick out dresses as well as choosing ones selected by family and friends. My saleslady Erica de la Garza was sooo awsome!!! She was extremely patient and even stayed 2 hrs past her scheduled shift!!! I was literally walking out, when I saw "another" dress on a manequinn...went back into the dressing room and,said "yes" to my dress!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
